Kerala Special Black Halwa || No Maida || Sweet snack Recipe in Tamil

One of my favs ❤️. I still rem, I was working in blore and had gone to Kanyakumari for my cousin's wedding. My aunts gave me a huge (11") plate of this homemade halwa (prepared to be given to my cousin n she gave it to me 😁) to be taken back to blore and I finished it off in a week.. miss this homemade a lot.
And it's usually made with coconut oil in our family n that's my fav more that the ghee version.

No pain, no gain halva. What a perfect halva after an hour plus struggle to get it done. It looks so appetising. A all time children's delight and diabetics' distress. U don't get subsidised gas cylinder? The price rise is for non-subsidised cylinder which was Rs.1100/- during Italian raj of Italian corrupt congress.

I tried it today but the halwa was not black in colour instead it was brown in colour. Why is it so?

color depends upon Jaggery color.. take dark or black color jaggery,, and sauté until its gets thick and dry.. you will get nice black color
