While George's playing is beyond spectacular, this just makes me realize how incredible Bonham was at such a young age. He really was like no other. I also love George's explanations as it really shows that Bonham was not just some heavy handed clubber. JHB was an incredibly sensitive drummer that knew exactly when to hit the gas and exactly when to pull it back in the right places. Great job George!

Well, we already know that George's health and cardiorespiratory capacity are enviable, since he is currently around 37 years older than Bonham was at the time of the show. Another thing: this video, recorded from this angle, is excellent, and makes us regret that TSRTS' performance of Moby Dick was not recorded and shown in its entirety, with many parts replaced by sequences of his daily life (which are cool, but could be part of an interview or documentary). Thanks for sharing, it was really cool to watch. 👏👏👏

Excellent as always, George! As a fellow drummer, stretching is huge the older we get. I stretch forearms, shoulders, triceps, biceps, hamstrings, quads, back, and calves before every show. I'm sure your PT specialist is getting that hip flexor stretched out, top of quad, front of pelvis that does the lifting of your high-hat leg. Pay close attention to your hydration. Electrolytes before, during, and after, will keep your muscles hydrated and prevent cramping and help keep your forearms loose. I hope you get to do a tour with Mr.Jimmy and travel the states, would love to watch you live.

Sorry to hear about the tendon issues. I have been drumming since 1967, when I started taking lessons (unbeknownst to me) from the legendary George Lawrence Stone. He was my assigned drum teacher through the public school music program where I lived outside of Boston. He lived in the next city and taught part time until his death. He was the most relaxed looking drummer I ever saw. He stressed ergonomics before we knew what ergonomics was. I am not saying that you aren’t relaxed while playing. You are an incredible drummer and look very relaxed. Do you have pain after playing jazz? If no, there must be something in playing in the style of Bonham that is causing stress. am not a pro, but I supplemented my income as a registered nurse by drumming several gigs a month for many years. I play mostly jazz but played in a Zeppelin cover band for years. Being an RN with a lot of ortho and trauma experience, as well being as a drummer, I would recommend leaving out the hand playing. The hand playing on regular drums never interested me and I was always glad when he reached for the sticks. I wouldn’t be surprised if that contributes to your pain. I would also try playing with a tendon compression band for tennis elbow.

Very true, however, I don't really have too many chances to rest up because of my usual gig schedule. Occasionally I will turn down some work to give it a break. But I've been managing it okay with regular physical therapy and stretches. 🙏🏻

What @LeloCraveiro,said Iv been saying for a decade now playin a Led Zeppelin live show from 1973 at any age there’s probably only a handful of drummers on the planet that can do it and George’s age your looking at the one and only. OK I’m done.

Challenging ? Love Bonso, but if any professional drummer can’t cut this, maybe a bass guitar might be a better choice
