I just loved the music, it seemed somehow very appropriate, and nice to listen to. Your 'concept' model is superb. It's an interesting shape, not too fussy or complicated, with a nice level of surface features and detail. Arctic landscape is very good. Not sure about the helicopter. It looks like a civilian machine, which doesn't gel with your pre-story about the military investigating the installation. I would have expected a military machine, in drab Arctic grey. Having said that, I think the scene is ripe for a full on sci fi interpretation, where any vehicle would be a spacecraft type of thing. It could then be on another planet far away. But overall, very appealing and inspiring. ☃❄🚀🚀
Thanks for the fantastic feedback. The helicopter was informed by the art direction as something that would pop and draw secondary attention, although I agree it can combat the narrative with the bright colours.
I skipped to the end first to see the final result. I took some time to understand it was a chopper, had to go back in the video to see what it was. Bugged my mind thinking it was a ground vehicle at first and made everything out of proportion. I Would suggest making the chopper propellers more visible. Looks awesome doe :)
Wow really nice!! I’ve just started learning Blender the last 4 months and it’s still incredibly overwhelming. I’m aiming to become an environmental artist but far out there are just so many things. Any tips for breaking through and getting to a point where you can start/finish a project with no major issues? Just practice? Subbed and liked thanks sir!
Absolutely, practice is always number one but I started with breaking it down into developing the smaller skill sets to get there. If you individually develop modelling, texturing, lighting, and post processing that will be all the ingredients you need to take on full projects. Hope that helps!
@@DreaminginBlender in the notes you list both Affinity photo and Photoshop. Did you really need to use both? I would have hoped that Affinity would cover all your needs (?)
@@richardconway6425 Affinity is great, although Photoshop is unmatched with the Raw Camera Filter and applying the final colour grade pass which is what I use it for.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas! We’ve done so much this year and can’t wait to see what we achieve in 2025
I love the context at the beginning
I’m glad! Wasn’t sure how it would be received
Insane project, good job!
really impressive. This deserves a video animation

Did a sneak preview. Looks nice. I already finished the Radar station from static storm. Busy making Gate A3... Could put them together later on.
Thanks. I’d love to see them when they’re done!
Very good job, I like to watch this series. What's the name of the program from 10:30
Thanks, Affinity Photo

@@DreaminginBlender Thanks
This isn't concept art tho this is a full cg scene
Yep, it’s more detailed than industry concept art but still serves the same purpose
