Wow, this looks awesome. Unfortunately in the uk we would need planning permission for something that size. Would love one though for my kids. Thanks for the video
Have you ever thought about creating a strava running group? It would be great to follow your runs and create a little friendly competition between you and your followers.
It looks like the holds from Rocky Mountain Climbing gear now have two screw holes. I'm thinking that will make the process of driving and mounting much more tedious. Would you recommend getting holds with just one hole?
I drilled the T-Nut holes in a grid much like a climbing gym wall and used Bolted holds rather than screw-in. In retrospect I probably should have added some variety to it. For me it gets the job done considering I mainly dry tool on it. Thanks for watching!
So I have a wall I'm about to build as adjustable incline 12' on top of a 2' kicker so basically same. Just curious how far out does the wall over hang like how far from the back to the point if u drew a line from the top of the wall straight to ground. If that makes sense. I ask cuz I only have 11' to work with so I wanna make sure I got enough space
Sorry about that! I moved my blog and some links died. Check out this link: www.chasethesummit.com/blog/2017/10/06/tutorial-how-i-built-my-woody-diy-outdoor-rock-climbing-wall
You got me all excited because you said the holds were cheap at about .80 a piece. But I didn’t find that when I clicked the link. Am I missing something g or did the price increase from when you had originally bought them?
Yeah it appears the price has gone way up due to supply and demand. With everyone building home walls due to the pandemic it seems like these companies have taken notice.
Chase the Summit - Also congrats on 10k. Looking forward to having a beer with you. And there are a ton of fall product announcements coming up so I’m guessing your channel is going to explode! 🤯

I probably needed a permit too... Shhhh! Don't tell anyone! Thanks for watching.
Great video. I was just thinking about this. Early congrats in 10k!
Thanks!
I knew this wall looked familiar! I followed your idea to build one! Its my most popular video. Thank you so much.
Hey cool! Glad you found the blog post helpful. Thanks for watching.

Interesting idea! Thanks!
Your URL doesn’t work anymore. Dang. About to leave Western Ma and needed some inspiration to train at home…

Great video Dave!
Thanks!

I think they sell both? Or at least they did. I prefer the single hole holds for use with 3/8" bolts.
Nice, but why are your holds in perfect lines like a forest of planted pines?

I don't have the exact measurement but I think around 4' from the back of the wall to the posts that support the overhang. Good luck!
Hi, not sure if you'll be reading this but the link for the tutorial in the description is dead. Anyway to get the info from somewhere ? Thanks !
