  • Out of curiocity I wanted to see weather the old windows based code would run under proton with lutris because I for some reason couldn't get the asset bundles to build for linux.
Surprisingly it worked out of the box no modifications necessary, so here we are doing the usual of switching between big gigantic starship and space station (I really have not touched this thing code or map wise in several months).
I'll probably just keep compiling it for windows until I can figure out how to get it fully ported over to linux because i'm really reluctant to throw out 3 years of work.
Either way all the optimisations are done and performance is actually pretty decent, so I guess I didn't need to scrap and redo the seemless open world the amount of times I did last year because I got it to work in the end.
Assets minus music from ambientcg, zapsplat, freesound, opengameart and unity asset store, music was made specificly by me for the game.
That is if I ever end up finishing the tie in book to it and the games universe itself.
As always, all content and the like is temperary and subject to change at any time.
