Fabulous job! Working on a 1965 Continental now, I hope to do as nice a job with mine as you did with yours. And I wouldn’t worry one bit about a bent fork - if it’s bent, bend it back😂
I do admit that color has a very rich poo tone to it. The video also emphasizes it so it’s not quite as bad in person. I did look into schwinn authorized paint and the price tag scared me away. I explained it a little in the video about painting the frame but I would like to look into schwinn colored paint in the future. Thanks for the view!
@@modest_wrenching You are welcome. I had a Similar Schwinn as a teen. Nostalgic! I'm kind of a purist what it comes to restorations, but that's just me! My French bicycle collection can be viewed at B & C Bicycle Restorations. Lots of expensive paint! Cheers mate, keep them rolling!
Car parts stores like Advance auto or Napa can color match paint and custom make spray cans filled with Single stage enamel paint. Or custom colors by the pint and sprayed with a spray gun and air compressor. The Best option on a steel bike frame would be to powder coat, but will be hard to match Schwinn colors. Nice restoration, that is lot of work to disassemble the wheels to buff and polish, looks good.
It definitely didn’t help but I think this bike was in a crash. A lot of the alignment is a little out of wack and that is prior to my tear down. I was going to do a follow up video soon and kind of talk about it.

Thank you!
I just got a green continental I’m very excited
Hey thats a nice bike
Schwinn paint is the most priduced vintage paint that I know of. What's with the poo brown?

Are you sure the saddle is wide enough?😂
After riding on the original seat I was half tempted to get a drummers throne for that thing!
Tengo una igual pero no se su precio
