I lived in Pacoima and Lake View Terrace in the mid 80s. I went to the same middle school that Ritchie Vallens went too. That’s where I discovered candy houses and the DingDing truck because there were no liquor stores in the communities, just houses or apartments. I use to hate walking out there. When I was there Pacoima had only about three small black gangs that was there and one of them I remember was the E/S Clovers. And Raymond Washington and his crew came from L.A and paid them gangs a visit, he was basically trying to get them to turn Crip but they refuse and it flared a little rivalry between them and the Crips this had to had been around 1973 or early 74. So the Black Pacoima gangs had to come together as one unit because it was a lot of Crips at that time and they was growing fast. So Johnny Moe and his crew formed the OVG....which was a collective of all the Black gangs in Pacoima as one, and they went to war with the Crips in and out of jail. They feud went on for a while and when the 80's hit the founder of the OVG received a life sentence and while he was locked down some members of the OVG added Crip on to OVG and they became OVGC. And that move started a War between the OVG founder and the members who put Crip on OVG after they had went through wars with the Crips. and soon afterward Pacoima Pirus formed.
