FLOLAB is our favourite screen protector,in our family. This is the kind of video I've been looking for because I'd like to see the Anti Glare and the Privacy screen protectors works in demo. I subscribed ! All the best, and thanks!
The Privacy screen protector isn't quite as clear when you look up close as their clear and blue light blocking versions, but the effect is very, very slight. Overall, a great screen protector!
Thanks! I'm happy you found that helpful. It's tricky to show in a video, but the anti-glare feature really does help. Flolab also sent me out their ONETIME PRO Anti-Glare screen protector...that one has an Anti-Glare matte finish, but also has an anti-reflective coating, which should improve outdoor visibility even more. I'm planning to check that one out next...
Got the privacy version on my iPhone 13 PRO MAX…it cracked less than a month old …still can’t figure it out how it got cracked that fast. All tempered glass will crack with time …it’s matter of time..went back to rhino-shield protecter it never disappoint
So sorry to hear that!! I guess it has something to do with usage patterns and case type as well…I’ve never had a tempered glass screen protector crack. But the RhinoShield Impact Shield screen protectors are always a solid choice, and as you mention, they will never, ever crack.😊
I installed one of those. The only problem I had was some small bubbles on the edge. I had to aggressively push the bubbles with the included squeege and eventually got them out, Happy with the install and results. Maybe a little more instructions on getting those bubbles out.
Hi John! Glad to hear you were eventually able to get those bubbles out. Bubble removal can be difficult sometimes, and some screen protectors seem to be worse in that respect than others. I'm guessing it has to do with the type of adhesive used. I wish I had some brilliant suggestions for you, for your next screen protector installation, but it mostly comes down to patience. Squeegees can help. Using your fingernails can also work really well as long as the screen protector is a hard material like tempered glass or sapphire (it's not a good idea for softer polymer screen protectors, though). In general, the idea is to push toward the edges, to try to get the air bubbles out. But if there is a dot in the middle of the bubble, then you probably have a speck of dust caught in there. In that case, you will need to carefully lift up the screen protector and use a dust removal sticker to remove the dust speck, and then lay down the screen protector again and smooth out any remaining bubbles. Depending on how well you do it, and the quality of the adhesive on the screen protector, this may or may not work. It's somewhat risky, so it's best to try to avoid getting any dust stuck there in the first place. Hope this helps!!
Thanks for the reply. No dust particles. I've had dust particles in the past and am very careful when using the sticker. Very happy with the Flolab protector.@@TheTechReviewer
Hi Mark! Nice to hear from you, and thanks for your kind comment. 😊 This really is an outstanding screen protector installer. So...are you planning to upgrade when the iPhone 15 series comes out?? It's getting to be an exciting time of year!
I'm really curious to see if the titanium frame becomes a reality. I would certainly appreciate a lighter phone. And it sounds like titanium sides wouldn't be the fingerprint magnet that the polished stainless steel sides are. Can't wait for mid September!
I liked the standard blue light blocking one the most...I'm mostly indoors during the summer, so I don't really need the anti-glare feature. I don't dislike the anti-glare, but it is mostly pointless for my lifestyle. So I guess it comes in second place. And the Privacy one comes in third place. It's cool...but it can be irritating as well. If my phone is lying on the table next to me, with the screen on, I want to be able to glance over at it and see what's on the screen. With the Privacy screen protector, if my angle is wrong, I see nothing but black. So that's a little frustrating. But I totally see the use case for the Privacy screen protector if you want to keep your screen private in a public place. There have been a lot of stories in the news about people getting their personal accounts broken into when an attacker sees them entering their passcode into their phone in a public place, and then subsequently steals the phone. With this Privacy screen protector, I think that kind of crime is harder to commit.
I just ordered the privacy cuz I work in public so I want to hide sensitive info from people and it’s for my 14 plus I currently have a Zagg privacy but it doesn’t cover the entire screen like flolabs
I didn't test out case compatibility with the ONETIME Privacy, but I did check it out with the ONETIME PRO in Anti Glare for the 14 Pro, and Mous Limitless 5.0 and CASETiFY Impact were fine, among others. The only case which failed to fit with the 14 Pro ONETIME PRO Anti Glare (among those I tested) was the OtterBox Symmetry. Here's the link to that video. Hope this helps: ruclips.net/video/pKxaYjWmIm8/видео.htmlsi=tW0bNcYxGriClW3l&t=451
Do not buy this. I went through three of the matte ones (2 for my phone. One for a family member) and even with a case (mine being a velvet caviar case and dad’s being an apple silicone case at the time he used his phone screen protector and we had huge bubbles in areas where the case and the glass didn’t touch anything. I thought it was just my dad being careless but no it’s the screen protector itself. The last one I bought only lasted two months because it had a huge bubble in a corner where the glass and the case didn’t touch. Only laid on the table face down, to in my purse and in my charger. My guess is the shock of it being on the table was the culprit which is unacceptable
Hi Sarah! So sorry to hear that you were having these issues with your FLOLAB screen protectors! And very surprised as well, as I haven't had any problems with the multiple FLOLAB screen protectors that I've installed and used. Admittedly, some have not gotten long term use, because I'd had to move on to review another product, but some have stayed on my phones for 6 months or more. Were these bubbles there from the beginning or did they show up spontaneously after some period of time?
Also, one more question. Is that installation kit made of hard plastic? If it is, I’d want to install the SP the old fashioned way as that might leave tiny micro scratches on the bezel - which I am very anal of! Could you tell me if we can separate the kit from the tempered glass prior to installing it?
Hi Mark! Yes, it is hard plastic. However, I don't think it is going to scratch the sides of your phone. I just installed the ONETIME PRO Anti Glare on my 15 Pro and I don't see any micro scratches. You are more sensitive to that, though...and perhaps you might see something I don't. As far as removing the screen protector from the installer, I really don't know. It's kind of a complicated system, and I'd be worried that I would mess up the screen protector by attempting a manual install...
Thanks for your email, Priyanshu, but I'm not looking to expand my team at this time. Best of luck with your endeavors, and thanks for thinking of me. 😊
And the content suggestions are appreciated, thanks! I'm sure you could make a great contribution to another RUclips channel...best of luck in finding a good fit!
