The Last Jedi Sucked!! they turned the Skywalker Saga into the Palpatine Saga!! at this point let Star Wars Die or Kill it if You Have To!! They turned Han Solo into a Dead beat Father, Luke Skywalker into a Little Bitch & Princess Leia into Mary Poppins! Star Wars is no longer worth it!! Star Wars is not even worth 1 Billion Dollars!! It's no longer Star Wars, it's Star Was.
Well done my man, I'm only about 15 mins in and I feel excitement from that incredible John Williams theme and shots of the millennium falcon, and sadness as I realize where this is heading.....and the Doomcock narration is the icing on the cake! Lol
@Newsbender II It did, but not all of it was apparent until TLJ released. There were surely plenty of answers to questions TFA set up that wouldn't have led us to where we are now. I maintain the only things TFA really did wrong that couldn't ever be rectified in any satisfactory way all had to do with Han (the way he died, the way he apparently just went back to being a smuggler, the way he managed to lose the Falcon in the first place...). It all reeks of an ideological slant that isn't really compatible with the fairy tale that is Star Wars (though, as I've gone on record several times suggesting, they also could have made a darker, gritter, more cynical and true-to-life trilogy that DIDN'T completely assassinate the OT characters' character).
I remember walking out of TLJ thinking that even if the next movie was perfect that it still wouldn't salvage the trilogy. You see, it torpedoed the ENTIRE trilogy in one shot. There was no way the last movie could undo the damage done by the TLJ because it also destroyed the entire point of The Force Awakens.
After the hurt and utter disappointment that Star Wars' biggest fan went through, I am so glad that he was vindicated and reaffirmed with the reaction to his appearance in the Mandalorian. Don't worry Mark, we, the fans, never blamed you. But I think you already knew that.
TFA got a good initial reception because it made a lot of hopeful promises. It did not age well though, when the next two films betrayed ALL of those hopeful promises.
I should've known a red flag was that I fell asleep on my initial viewing of TFA. I should have been hyped from start to finish but it took me a couple attempts and on reflection, I felt it gave off more a 6/10 than the initial 7 I went in with. Then TLJ came out and I honestly couldn't make myself care for more than 5 minutes. Something in me knew disaster was looming. Then I found Doomcock's review and I was like "ahh fuggit I honestly feel so hollow I don't care about spoilers" Then something broke in me. I am still a Star Wars fan, but only of Lucas and parts of the E.U./parts of it that were devoid of corporate cynicism, as big a money machine it still was. But that money went to entertaining us and making enduring characters we would be discussing lovingly for years. Rey, Finn and Poe's names will be spat upon bitterness of a One-Night Stand rather than the enduring romance of what George and so many around him built with great care over decades.
Nah people are just embarrassed to admit that they enjoyed it and now have to hate it for the sake of hating it. It’s fine! We liked it too. No need to feel embarrassed about liking something
You know, you just *KNOW* that KK was seething at the fan reaction to Luke in the Mandalorian. "Why didn't they react that way to Rey?! Misogyny, that's why! Toxic masculinity! How dare they?! I'll get you for this, Dave Filoni!"
I think this is part of the reason she went after Gina. Darth KKKennedy knows she cannot touch Luke or even the normies will stomp her. So used her MeToo (aka cancel culture) friend network to make innacurate claims that Darth could then claim is a plausible excuse to fire Gina. At the end of the day, Darth is afraid and seething at the character of Luke as it proves everything she stands for is wrong. A fictional character is her worst enemy, and she lost to it.
At the same time the fans are loving Cara Dune, must be misogyny and toxic masculinity, KK either hates starwars or is completely disconnected from reality. KK is the most privileged woman in showbiz, no man could fuck up this badly and still have a job.

The day I watched TFA in cinema I dropped a blog review where I tore it apart (shorthand, not completely comprehensive, but scathing nonetheless)... I waited so many years for other people to also start waking up to this. Very nice to see it happening more and more every day.
I wonder if in his quietest moments Lucas ruefully whispers... "What have I done?" Excellent video. Seeing the return of Luke Skywalker was an awesome climax to the final four incredible episodes of the Mandalorian... Seeing your tribute video of the fan reaction somehow made it even better... We are not alone... We arent crazy... THIS was how Star Wars was supposed to be...
Hey Disney, why not admit the mistake and burn VII, VIII and IX! Then you could redo the sequel trilogy, do it right and make tons of money all over again. Before you do it, fire Kennedy and hire a good script writer and a decent director!
Fantastic! Rollercoazter of emotions! My husband and I saw the original i. 1977 and got our daughters into it when the vhs came out. They had the toys and played Star Wars! To many thoughts to share in this space.
Beautiful documentary. Loved every minute. Great work for everyone that worked on this! Probably had more thought put into it than the sequels themselves.
I'm conflicted. I want to support Favreau and Filoni and see what they do with season 3, but I'm just so disgusted with Disney over the Gina thing that I don't think I will be able to watch anything they put out as long as KK and her crowd still have anything to do with it. This was truly the last straw.
@@bluesnaggletooth1660 Same, the OT and the PT still exist, Disney can't ruin those amazing movies for me. And yeah sure the PT has flaws, but hell I'd take them over the Sequels any day of the week
Absolutely amazing documentary that does such a great job of capturing the problems and fans' disappointment with the sequel trilogy. The montage at the end mixing scenes of Luke from the original trilogy with Luke from the season finale of The Mandalorian was brilliant. I had chills watching that and it really made me remember why I have loved Star Wars since I saw the original movie back in the 70's.
I'm 44 and waited a long time to see again our Luke!!!... And yes... I cried too..and cried again watching your documentary.. May the force be with all of us....!
Thank you for making these documentaries very informative, you can tell the love we the fans have for Star Wars and how much we want them to care as well.💜💜💜
The hardest part for Favreau was keeping the Luke ending of Mandalorian from Darth KK and her people. They would have leaked this and attacked it in a way that would have spoiled the series for everyone.
that’s just silly. all of these conspiracy theories are silly. how often did they say KK was about to be fired next thursday, but it never happened. I guess people need a scapegoat. In reality, it’s just Disney the corporation wanting to make their money back quick.
This video is so underrated, this needs to be at the top of everyones watch list. This is so emotional, so profound, so factual, so hard hitting. Disney is like the emperor at the end, showing us who Luke could be saying "you want this....don't you...the hate is swelling in you now."
Thanks for this guys y’all are amazing may the force be with u both. First and foremost Rest well the Carrie Fisher! And I remember going to see the Force Awakens and watching Han die like that. Princess Leia was the same. Luke was a nobody. Rey was way to powerful, Also it was like Kathleen Kennedy destroyed my childhood. Thanks for making this video.

I want to make no presumptions, and yet I’m hearing the voice of he who dwells the center of the planet, the Future Ruler of Earth, all hail his benevolent wisdom.
That scene where Chewie walked right past Leia after Han's death slipped by me on previous viewings. I don't there's a more succint example through all three sequel films, of how much disrespect the writers had for the franchise and especially for the characters themselves. As if I needed another reason to hate the sequels.
This was amazing, guys. If anyone has any doubt that the "Fandom Menace" is just passionate fans in a fractured fanbase (or several at this point), they can just watch this video.
Too bad the series ended on a cliffhanger after 7. People keep telling me about this 8 and 9 and even some fictitious Solo prequel/backstory but, I can't find any details on them. 🤷🏿♀️
Quick clarification about rotten tomatoes. The percentage on the tomato meter is NOT the overall score critics give a movie. It's the amount of critics who like it. 90% of the critics gave a positive review, that doesn't mean every positive review was saying it was a 9/10. If you click on the percentage, it shows you the average score of all reviews
Luke's return in the Mandolorian was indeed one of the best Star Wars moments since I first saw A New Hope In 1977. Chef's kiss. No matter how bad they fucked up the sequel trilogy, at least fans have this moment.
Reminds of Yeats...if only Disney could understand... “But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
I'm glad you focused so much on Luke, cuz his character is a microcosm of the core failure of the sequels. It's not toxic masculinity, misogyny, racism, or whatever other strawman Disney wants to conjure up to deflect responsibility (cuz apparently all fans want to see in an alien galaxy are white males??). It's always been about characters and story telling and The Mandalorian proves it. Honestly, if Disney executives have any sensory organs whatsoever they should take this extreme polarity in reception as justification to relieve a captain on the verge running their ship into the ground (immediately) before it's too late.
The Force Awakens: "I'll make a poor, low rent remake of the '77 movie". JJ Abrams The Last Jedi: "I can make a worse Star Wars movie". Rian Johnson Rise of Skywalker: "Hold my beer". JJ Abrams.
More like The Force Awakens: "Let's reset the story to A New Hope because F the Prequels" - JJ & Kasdan JJ's Episode 8: "Ok, now that that's out of the way, let's make up for it a little bit by establishing Luke is still a wise caring Jedi with a wife, two kids, and a plan to make things right." - JJ & Kasdan "No, screw that, that's dumb. Rian, what have you got?" - Kennedy The Last Jedi: "I say screw Luke, screw Snoke, screw Phasma, and screw making a plan; there are no more storylines." - Rian "Brilliant" - Kennedy Duel of the Fates: "Ok, there are still things we can salvage here. Let's just have a revolution on Coruscant, Finn helping other Stormtroopers change, and Kylo & Rey having one last confrontation on Mortis." - Trevorrow "No, screw that, that's dumb. Rian, what have you got?" - Kennedy "No, Rian can't come back. I've brought back JJ." - Bob Iger The Rise of Skywalker: "Well, Rian scrapped half my storylines and lowered the stakes by killing Snoke so I guess I'll just bring back Palps and introduce yet another inexplicable secret army like I did the last time." "Brilliant" - Bob Iger "I think anything Rian didn't make is dumb. Let's sabotage this movie behind JJ's back and make it even more nonsensical than it already was. WB will never hire JJ after that." - Kennedy "Mr. Abrams, we'd like to hire you for Superman..." - WB SMH
Thank you for this, sir. Star Wars was a big part of my life until Episode XIII. It was the hope the Original Trilogy brought to my life as a young man. In some ways the original Star Wars was a kind of cinematic spiritual experience for me. But no more. This is just a nice memory now. Thanks, again!
Dude........ I hate that this had to be made because of why it was made. But I love that this is made because of the what it stands for. Thank you! This was BRILLIANT! Also Doomcock did a great job of narration.
I think mostly the kids born in the 70's & the early 80's have become the biggest complainers. Its an epic movie. Remember Luke, Leia chewie Han plus , are not in the prequel trilogy. Disney are bringing in more Canon characters to make a Marvel-Like universe. Why is Harrison Ford not attacked for not signing up. He was done. It tookm$500,000 for a tiny scene they used again when Ben threw away his sabre. ( for someone to find & abuse
I seriously hope the Sequel Trilogy is removed from Canon, KK steps down or is removed from LF and that somehow Gina is brought back to Mando and we continue yo get more of Luke. I have spoken.
Amazing video! The whole section about Luke's return made me tear up all over again like when I saw that episode for the first time. Love the editing, the music and the different views from fans shared throughout. Well done, guys!
Epic! So well done. I lived through all of it and this is such a good summary. This should serve as a way to preserve history. The fan reaction to Luke still gets me. The last photo was great, because like many others, I was that child by the Christmas tree overjoyed with my new Star Wars toy.

"What have I done?"
Excellent video. Seeing the return of Luke Skywalker was an awesome climax to the final four incredible episodes of the Mandalorian... Seeing your tribute video of the fan reaction somehow made it even better... We are not alone... We arent crazy... THIS was how Star Wars was supposed to be...
Well Said! Thanks for watching and dropping a comment on our video. :)
Hey Disney, why not admit the mistake and burn VII, VIII and IX! Then you could redo the sequel trilogy, do it right and make tons of money all over again. Before you do it, fire Kennedy and hire a good script writer and a decent director!
Well Said! Thanks for watching and dropping a comment on our video. :)
Nah Disney has a fragile ego. They'll just double down.
Fantastic! Rollercoazter of emotions! My husband and I saw the original i. 1977 and got our daughters into it when the vhs came out. They had the toys and played Star Wars! To many thoughts to share in this space.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Now Disney needs to watch this documentary
Beautiful documentary. Loved every minute. Great work for everyone that worked on this! Probably had more thought put into it than the sequels themselves.
Glad you enjoyed it!
And after all that, the mouse went to further destroy "Star Wars" and bring havoc to the Mando.
Well Said! Thanks for watching and dropping a comment on our video. :)
First time I've seen this, well done guys really enjoyed it. Great Documentary. Hopefully Disney and Lucasfilm have watched this and taking note.
Fingers crossed! :)
I'm conflicted. I want to support Favreau and Filoni and see what they do with season 3, but I'm just so disgusted with Disney over the Gina thing that I don't think I will be able to watch anything they put out as long as KK and her crowd still have anything to do with it. This was truly the last straw.
@thedarkerknight2188 what did she say?
Well f*ing congrats to your editor. I cried again. No timing needed.
And FANTASTIC documentary, ending with that moment we all dropped our weapons.
Well said! :)
He's signing paperwork that will net him $4 billion yet he looks distressed… That should've been the first red flag
Star Wars is died, I am so sorry to acknowledge but after the Mandalorian and the attacks from Lucasfilm, I’m done
100% Understand
I agree that Disney Star Wars is dead but I still enjoy the OT and prequels
Wow, thank you! :)
Saw TFA a number of times, TLJ once, and did not see the last one - fool me once…
Mark hamill is a real one for speaking out. Respect the lore
I'm 44 and waited a long time to see again our Luke!!!... And yes... I cried too..and cried again watching your documentary..
May the force be with all of us....!
This was an amazing video
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment on our video. :)
Dave Favero, your our only hope.
Yep
Thank you for making these documentaries very informative, you can tell the love we the fans have for Star Wars and how much we want them to care as well.💜💜💜
Another great video, EBN. We are, you are, Star Wars
Great documentary! Well done, gentlemen.
Thank you kindly!
Excellent documentary. Obviously a lot of work and a labor of love. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
29:33 Mark: *"I had discussion with colin, and we were on the same paged"* he's talking about luke's role in these films. that's why colin was fired. because he wanted a good arch for luke while kk wanted luke to disappear. he was a white male that posed a threat so yeah she wanted him gone.
You are not wrong! :)
The ending of 2020, didn't see the end of the destruction of Star Wars unfortunately.
You are not wrong! lol :) Thanks for watching and dropping a comment on our video. :)
Wow, they really had no Idea what to do with the characters...
🤬
Nope they really didn't. SMH
Watching this one again hoping it'll blow up as well
Think we need a new one since Mando S3 and Book of boba... goddamnit
You gentlemen (Including Mr. Dictor Van Doomcock) are Genius, this is a masterpiece!!!!
Bloody hell, in the last 20 mins I went from a bit wet eyed to full happy crying.
The Luke reveal was spoiled for me before I saw the episode, but you just gave me the catharsis I was denied, thank you!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
This was incredible. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
KK stares at George with those demon eyes that whole time
sorry i missed the live, but im watching it on playback now!!!
As long as you get to see it we are good. :)
@@EchoBaseNetwork I watched the whole thing!!!! MIM lmfao I can't even right now!!!! Thank you for the fun! Now it's time to watch nick move on to the other life 10000times haha
Thank you for the emotion-filled coverage of the fan reaction videos and twitters to the rescue! Sooo goood!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job and message. This video teared me up at times.
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
This was amazing, guys. If anyone has any doubt that the "Fandom Menace" is just passionate fans in a fractured fanbase (or several at this point), they can just watch this video.
Well Said! Thanks for watching and dropping a comment on our video. :)
I'm a fan since 1981 and I love the Skywalker Saga....all the 7 Episodes!!!
100% :)
Too bad the series ended on a cliffhanger after 7. People keep telling me about this 8 and 9 and even some fictitious Solo prequel/backstory but, I can't find any details on them. 🤷🏿♀️
Brilliant. Video
Glad you enjoyed it
Quick clarification about rotten tomatoes. The percentage on the tomato meter is NOT the overall score critics give a movie. It's the amount of critics who like it. 90% of the critics gave a positive review, that doesn't mean every positive review was saying it was a 9/10. If you click on the percentage, it shows you the average score of all reviews
Absolutely loved this video. Great work gentlemen.
Much appreciated! :)
Beautifully done review,
Thank you kindly!
Thanks for putting this all together. Much appreciated. Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it!
I was so hyped after watching TFA.
After watching TLJ, I want nothing with
Disney Star Wars
Excellent and greatly enhanced by Doomcock’s voiceover work.
The ultimate Special Edition of this documentary, chronicling final stages of Disney Star Wars decay, deserves to be narrated by Vito.
In the mark hamill last Jedi interview he sounds so embarrassed and scared I feel so sorry for mark
All caught up now!! Made me Cry ....AGAIN.
Well done.
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment on our video. :)
If you read body language and watch the eyes. Eyes looking left tends to be when someone is lying.
LOL I know right! :)
Loved watching this Saturday night - the original version I think from Jan 2020. Brilliant narration from Doomcock.
Thanks! :)
Luke's return in the Mandolorian was indeed one of the best Star Wars moments since I first saw A New Hope In 1977. Chef's kiss. No matter how bad they fucked up the
sequel trilogy, at least fans have this moment.
We all loved it but what bothers me is that great moments like this all lead to TLJ
Fantastic video! Thank you!
Reminds of Yeats...if only Disney could understand...
“But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
Equilibrium - If these mad people get their way, they would kill all other versions but their's because fan's "emotions" are problematic...
JJ Abrams
The Last Jedi: "I can make a worse Star Wars movie". Rian Johnson
Rise of Skywalker: "Hold my beer". JJ Abrams.
You are not wrong! lol :) Thanks for watching and dropping a comment on our video. :)
More like
The Force Awakens: "Let's reset the story to A New Hope because F the Prequels" - JJ & Kasdan
JJ's Episode 8: "Ok, now that that's out of the way, let's make up for it a little bit by establishing Luke is still a wise caring Jedi with a wife, two kids, and a plan to make things right." - JJ & Kasdan
"No, screw that, that's dumb. Rian, what have you got?" - Kennedy
The Last Jedi: "I say screw Luke, screw Snoke, screw Phasma, and screw making a plan; there are no more storylines." - Rian
"Brilliant" - Kennedy
Duel of the Fates: "Ok, there are still things we can salvage here. Let's just have a revolution on Coruscant, Finn helping other Stormtroopers change, and Kylo & Rey having one last confrontation on Mortis." - Trevorrow
"No, screw that, that's dumb. Rian, what have you got?" - Kennedy
"No, Rian can't come back. I've brought back JJ." - Bob Iger
The Rise of Skywalker: "Well, Rian scrapped half my storylines and lowered the stakes by killing Snoke so I guess I'll just bring back Palps and introduce yet another inexplicable secret army like I did the last time."
"Brilliant" - Bob Iger
"I think anything Rian didn't make is dumb. Let's sabotage this movie behind JJ's back and make it even more nonsensical than it already was. WB will never hire JJ after that." - Kennedy
"Mr. Abrams, we'd like to hire you for Superman..." - WB
SMH
@@under_score3829 You’re added the details brilliantly.
Great watch! Thank you for putting this together!
Excellent!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Correction: Episode VIII
This is a great vid. Cheers. 👍
The Force Awakens was great, shame about the last two... 😔
Thanks for the complement and thanks for checking out our video and leaving us a comment. :)
Great watch. Thanks
Dude........ I hate that this had to be made because of why it was made. But I love that this is made because of the what it stands for. Thank you! This was BRILLIANT! Also Doomcock did a great job of narration.
What a great job! Congratulations!!! What we have here are facts and they speak for themselves. Thank you :)
Thank you!
Thank you for making me tear up again as I watched reactions to Luke's return. Thank you for the documentary.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is the best Star Wars film since George Lucas directed them. Disney could learn a lot from this.
Thanks for the complement and thanks for checking out our video and leaving us a comment. :)
Luke Skywalker is the heart of Star Wars. So cool seeing everyone react to him in Mando season 2.
Once again. Another great production by you fine gentlemen.
Thanks for the complement and thanks for checking out our video and leaving us a comment. :)
Amazing documentary! Thank you for your hard work!
Our pleasure!
Well done guys, great video
but sadly recently I have sensed a dark presence once again

Well done!
Thanks for your support, watching, and dropping a comment on our video. :)
I seriously hope the Sequel Trilogy is removed from Canon, KK steps down or is removed from LF and that somehow Gina is brought back to Mando and we continue yo get more of Luke. I have spoken.
Fingers crossed! :)
Damn you for giving me the feels again!
Great film. Thank you.
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment on our video. :)
Simply brilliant, gentlemen. I will enjoy revisiting this from time to time. Bravo
Wow great work guys
Glad you enjoyed it
Excellent video folks
Amazing video! The whole section about Luke's return made me tear up all over again like when I saw that episode for the first time. Love the editing, the music and the different views from fans shared throughout. Well done, guys!
Thank you so much!!
Epic! So well done. I lived through all of it and this is such a good summary. This should serve as a way to preserve history. The fan reaction to Luke still gets me. The last photo was great, because like many others, I was that child by the Christmas tree overjoyed with my new Star Wars toy.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah we were right there with you as kids getting out Star Wars toys at Christmas time. :)
