No VR? I've been off the grid for quite some time now but trying to get back into it. Trying to focus on AC as I feel like spreading myself so thin with all the sims and trying to tackle vr was just such a pain. Now I've got AC running perfectly with Pure in my G2 and getting solid 90fps. It's a joy. Hope you're well brother. Can't wait to try this out and hopefully meet you on the track again soon. Was told AusNZ doesn't do any AC so that's a bummer. Let me know if there's any other drop in races you guys do. thanks.
I did my 30 minute run in VR for the actual laptime 👍 but this is more of a showcase and to talk about the car itself so it doesn't need to be on the limit as much. I've found that the footage is easier to watch when it's recorded on a monitor. Just thinking of the viewer 😉
Regarding AUSNZ, I've kind of drifted away a bit unfortunately. RaceRoom became super patchy for me and the ranked servers really thinned out which is a shame. I really enjoyed running with those guys, especially Tuesday Thunder.
For those who want to drive this car in VR, switch off the rendering of the driver in the settings. Otherwise you will get clipping and will be sitting inside the driver, it is a small car after all. 🙂
That's a great idea, didn't think of that. Instead I just adjusted the camera position to somewhere awkward 😅

Ha yeah, I noticed that _after_ I recorded the footage but before the editing was done 😅 does look a bit awkward doesn't it? Not exactly the most comfortable steering position...

Cheers Sean 😍 thanks means a lot to me mate! This format will be consistent across all challenges 👍 so plenty more of this type of stuff coming in 2024. I've been putting quite a bit more time into these videos than I normally would with all the different elements coming together that you mentioned, so it's been a little disheartening to see the relatively low view numbers on them to be honest. It's all out of my control though once I press publish though so it genuinely is heart warming to hear the little extra touches are appreciated 🧡
@@DDFRacer Sorry to hear the numbers aren't great. It certainly isn't due to the quality. I've not been around as much as before, mostly due to the other-side-of-the-world thing. Maybe I'll get up early some day soon and watch live again.
FYI, the SCB Thermalito race with the Capris was a blast. Perhaps the best Thermalito combo yet.

RUclips can be a funny thing sometimes and I only tend to do live streams these days, not like a few years ago when I had my hardware reviews and RaceRoom update videos bringing in the big audiences. I'm still loving what I do though and that's the most important part 😉 numbers aren't everything. There is absolutely no pressure for you to change up your sleep schedule ha, I especially realise how important that is now that mini Finney is on the scene! 💤💤
Gutted I missed the SCB race, it sounded like a blast. Nick mentioned it a while back but I forget to set a reminder and completely forgot about it, my bad. Maybe that can be one of the future cars for the leaderboard 🤔
