- For 2016, Fender is releasing 7 limited edition models of guitars and bass called the Magnificent 7 collection. Each month, a new model is released. For June, they released the only Bass in the collection - the American PJ Bass.
This is a limited run of only 500 worldwide for this bass guitar.

Just got mine, it's great! I use it live because I can get any sound I want to out of it!
I agree, it really is the best of both worlds. Anyone whose putting together a studio should get this one. Many studios have multiple guitars and basses on hand to capture different sound requirements. This one bass covers the sound for all your bass needs.
I got mine today, sounds pretty good. This is my first bass but i heard a lot. It can sounds very clear and deep, pretty nice bass :)

This edition comes with hard case???
Yes, the hard case is included with the bass. This is a 100% made in the USA Fender, and I believe all American Fender guitars and basses come with a hard case.
I wish the would do more than 500... because that is exactly my dream bass, but I can't afford it jet...
A lot of online companies are selling this with special financing. I bought mine from Sweetwater.com, and they now have 24 months at 0% interest = about $66 per month. They sometimes run a special for 36 months 0% interest, which would make it even cheaper per month. It's worth looking into if it really is your dream bass. Only YOU can make your dreams come true :)

Michael Morris Holland Bummer. Keep looking. Your best bet is to find an online vendor that ships to Germany for a reasonable price.

1. Put a Compound Radius Jazz neck on it with a five string option.
2. Ensure that the weight is around nine pounds or less.
3. Usual color options.
Just the fact that it is a Limited Edition is not going to make me run out and buy one:)
For a few hundred dollars more, you could get an American Elite. I've played one, and they are very nice too. I love the compound radius neck. Every music store I've been in has one though. I've NEVER seen one like mine in stores. I had to order it online. If you do ever find one at a store, give it a try and then report back what you thought about it. I may also pick up an American Elite someday too...lol.
I wish they made a lefty of this one...
You could totally make one yourself. The parts are all available online. Fender.com sells a lefty Jazz neck, and you can buy a lefty Pbass body from another company like Warmoth.com. Then you just buy the hardware and electronics. Put it together yourself, or take it to your local music shop for them to put it together for you. Or just buy this one, and flip it upside down like Jimi Hendrix ;)

Antoine Mack you should check out the Fender Precision Elite. The only difference between that one and this, the elite has a P neck, and active pickups.

I'm going to set up a recording of it to post on RUclips. I guess I could do a quick vid with my camera mic recording it, but I really want to go direct out of my amp into my computer i/o box to get a better sound for you guys. Been having technical difficulties getting that to work. I promise I'll have a video of me playing it once I figure out what happened to my equipment. Thanks
