Have fun.
Just dropping by to say that Spencer Brown is right. The majority of this is fine, but there are a few sections in the lead line that are near impossible to play in context, save for professional trombonists and much practice. If you’re looking at all these egotistical comments saying “it’s super easy, I’m in 9th grade and I can play it!” and feeling bad because you can’t, know that they’re almost certainly lying.
Y’all need to stop gatekeeping music by lying about the ease of music and belittling those who are honest about their abilities.
So are you saying I do or don't suck at trombone
i'm a senior and range wise i can play all of it with good chops, but definitely not from start to finish, all the way through. the lead part should at least be split up between first and second trombone
They used this from a guy who actually played these parts. But I’m not a trombonist so idk if it’s possible or not. I just like listening to it
@@meghanmedendorp3257 It’s not a direct transcription, the parts that aren’t playable aren’t played by the person this is based on.
@@meihem2809 It’s really not consistently doable. There are a number of sections that are either written poorly or are just not feasible for trombone - for instance, measure 58. I’m confident you can’t play that, in time, consistently. The arpeggio section is also questionable. Doable, maybe, but most professionals wouldn’t want to play that.
Everyone else is out in outer space for notes while the tuba's are just chillin
perfection
Everyone??? I’m expected to play first part
Bruh bass trombone is even more chill
I feel like the octave jumps would be near impossible for most highschool tuba’s
The fact that the transition from the top trombone from on the staff to way above the staff was soooo clean despite the fact the pitch of the notes are so different is unbelievable
Alto trombone called it wants its notes back

Low key feel like playability wasn't considered. Just going for something cool. He was successful with that tho.
spenncer_brownn I mean I can play it
This is playable
Yeah the highest note is a super G, totally playable just it effects our morals if we don’t have a tenor or alto trombone lmao
The top concerns really the range of the lead Ab is a very playable key for all bass clef
It’s playable, the highest note I can play is a quad high G with rhythm, so with lots of practice I feel like I could get it to a playable state. I’ve been fooling around with it a little because the low brass we play it at football games for fun and marching baritone it’s easier to get high notes out on
“Low” brass
I mean, it's all here.
My bands tubas asked to play this and one of our saxes did a solo over it during a game.
Do you have a video?
If so, please post it.
@@ryankaufman6286 nah the band I moved to is stupid and doesn't allow us to take phones to games.
Matt Bell Which band?
@Jamir Gordon mine only allows us after half time in the third quarter
@@anungunrama9344 i mean that’s pretty standard, if anything the band you were in before was just really relaxed
My band director banned this song and now it’s just a massive meme
Bop Beep our band director encourages it 😂
Y would he do that
our band director plays along with our low brass 😭
We literally had to beg our drum majors to let us play it in the stands lmao
RIP lips
that is one of the coolest freaking low brass lines ive ever heard. im only a seventh grade euphonium player though, and i can only play up to a high g with quality. that solo is too high for me.
I’m an 8th grade tuba euphonium plus 10 other instruments including trumpet and trombone but yeah euphonium is superior, I played tuba parts on it when we didn’t have one, so now I play it and I hit a double high D once on euphonium for 3 seconds but it’s pretty hard to go really high, and euphonium is my second favorite instrument to play
Casy Hubbard Wow! You’re super cool! What ten instruments do you play!
I don’t test my range unless I want to or I’m bored
Manny Manatee I play an F trombone, a C trombone, a trumpet, a piccolo trumpet, a baritone, a euphonium, a tuba, piano, a French horn, a valved B flat trombone.
Casy Hubbard Wow! That’s absolutely bonkers! Makes me go insane ya!
Tenor clef has a purpose
yknow this is low brass (bass)
Still gonna probably be tenor trombones
Tenor clef has no purpose. If you are playing above a lot of above the staff notes in bass clef, you read treble instead. No need to learn a third, pointless clef.
Michael Kirby In music, I have never had a part that goes from bass clef to B flat treble. But, yes, I agree with the fact that they are interchangeable. But how likely is it that you learn tenor clef before treble clef? Especially if you play multiple instruments, you probably know treble clef anyway
Michael Kirby But i think we can both agree Alto clef is pointless (Unless you are miraculously playing an instrument keyed in D)
That sounds amazing I can't lie I'm loving that trombone solo I'm a tuba player
Let’s go tubas though.
Was a trombone but switched to tuba for marching band. Considering going back just to play that solo
I creamed at the trombone 16th note solo at the end 😩
Saint Geaser Um ok then
I think he meant Screamed? maybe not :/
No
No nut November
@@haydenmeynders3968 this was 9 months ago
The solo section strongly reminds me of the synth battle from Regular Show. It’s awesome 👌🏼
That euphonium solo at 2:01 😻
Its not that good. Too basic tbh
@@demonnohalo8458 shut up we never get solos
@@papertowel6190 bro what do you mean. We get solos all of the time in concert pieces, and features in military marches💀
@@whatsaeuphonium9077 Yeah I get melody but no features and only one solo but it’s also a duet I don’t get it either also we only have three euphoniums and three bands at my school so we can’t do a lot of features because we wouldn’t be heard so idk 🤷♂️
@@papertowel6190 wow, 3 euphs, 2 bands. Just sit tight, soldier, and people will realize the true potential of the euphonium
ive lost count of how many times ive walked into my band room and heard my band's low brass blasting this like their lives depend on it
thats pretty damn high
My band plays this and oh my god it sounds beyond amazing. Thank you for creating this
Jeez bro. Is it a high school band?

I love this song it sounds so amazing, wish I was a good trombonist, I hope to become this good in a year or become comfortable hitting high notes and breathing and tonguing. I'm new to the instrument, and kids in my band play this sometimes it's an amazing song- especially for low brass.
How are you doing now?
Hey listen Ik this is a old comment but I’ve been playing trombone for 5 years and marching for 3. It gets easier as you go, but you gotta push yourself out of your comfort zone. Remember play with Confidence and if you mess up mess up loud and proud. - A very tired section lead
I’m an 8th grader playing this with a senior all you need is confidence and enough air and it’s easy
@@lazyice6040you aren't playing this it is quite literally impossible
Dave Steinmeyer (former director of the Airmen of Note) would play the top part an octave higher just to flex his range.
update. music is now transcribed and now to buy the trombone i plan to use
At 1:40 is that even a possible?
The Pancakepolice Pretty sure. The video link in the description has some dude doing it pretty well
The Pancakepolice yes, my tuba leader can play 3-4 octaves up.
The Pancakepolice it's pretty easy. You just gotta practice
yeh it is, im in 9th grade and im practicing lip slurs aroudn that high
The Pancakepolice if you're talking about the Ab to C gliss in the trombone, you'd start the Ab in 5th position and gliss up to 1st so yes it is possible.
Omg some of the low brass played this at our last game of the season (without the incredibly high notes) it was the coolest thing ever I’m so gonna miss those seniors
"the notes are too high"
...my flutist lookin ahh: like clockwork.
2:45 *lungs has left the chat
finally something with euphonium!
-a euphonium player
Lol
OH MY GOSH JUST WOW 😀😍
it gets real at 1:01. I love the tuba line
As a trombonist, I approve
As a fellow trombone I too approve
As fellow fellow Trombonist, I approve
What human high school or college player could ever hit notes like that. Its not a trumpet, its a trombone, give it the notes that are decently playable.
Me
@@HowNowBrownCow69 very cool, cow got that range
It is possible to reach those insanely high notes, and maybe go even higher. Just takes a lot of practice.
That's why you use Music Theory. Transpose it to fit your instrument.
"low" brass
Our low brass plays this as a stent tune for football games. Our trombone section leader can play it perfectly
2:03 Euph Solo
Tenor clef would be helpful in the bone 1 part, also, finally a piece I can let loose on my high range. The most I ever get is the 5.5 ledger E.
Or an 8va
Or anything but writing _that_
I want to see Christopher Bill play this
Maybe in our dreams
Brilliant work!!
I know the tuba/bass trombone part isnt playable on bari sax, but if I had a sub-contra; buildings would fall.
It is until it reaches the low B flat/G parts
@@felixplaystuba6937 it doesnt have the same feel if you just put it up an octave :(
Nerdlantis I know but at least put the low Gs and Fs an octave higher so you can have the similar feeling:D
these solos are really cool
im reading these comments like "impossible parts you say? Challenge accepted. i havent played for over a year since ive graduated from high school and i dont even read bass clef. time for me to transcribe and prepare to see what the fuss is all about."
This song always gives me some serious Doctor Who vibes, don't know why
Brings back memories… I miss the college homies so much😫
We need to schedule a LB get together
That pedal G tho
I play trumpet this song makes me want to switch instruments these to trombones played it at school one high one low so hot
Me a trumpet player wanting play this:visible sadness
Being a trombone player can't really help because that range is just way too high for about 95% if us
I have two bandmates (both euphs) and i kid you not they blast this song every day
Amazing beautiful rock and cool those are my four great word I describe a video or music and you have it
I’m in a school band (8th grade trombone if wondering) and the band plays a very short version of this. Thx :P
Hello! I was just wondering if I could change up this arrangement a bit while still giving full credit to you to fit in my high school player's range. I am really a huge fan of this arrangement and I would love if my band could play it.
Yeah, go for it! If you haven’t already heard the revision I made afterwards, I’d recommend giving that a listen as well to decide which one you would prefer to adapt.
I learned the whole tuba part it was easy and I tried the trombone and I fucked my lips
my friend has been teaching me tuba (im switching after festival) and its really fun too
This is the only time I have ever heard this piece sound good on low brass lol.
I've never heard it sound good on anything besides low brass
Isn't it really mostly for low brass lmao.
This is a low brass song tho
yo the tubas and bary sax played this as stand music in our marching band this year
when the trombone score sounds like a trumpet’s 💀
Goes so hard
Just imagine if it was all tubas, even on the high parts
YES
Just saying I think euphonium/baritone might be able to hit rhe high notes
I know it's a different clef but as a clarinet player, I'd be safe to bet that trombone solo is high AF! I go to high G on the field and in the stands myself. Sounds great tho!
It does go very high. I think the same difficulty as a G for you as a transposing instrument just to put into perspective. I may be mistaken tho
In spite of all of the comments reporting that "my junior-high school band plays this every day," the solo trombone part is very difficult. Very few amateur trombone players can consistently play above high B flat.
Dude this is so good but its almost impossible to play lmao
i mean i played a high c once but like a high F?? come on
It’s guaranteed with a lot of practice. And I mean A LOT of practice. But anyone can hit it if they are dedicated enough. Good luck (;
TROMBONES LIPS FONNA BE GONE
im a f horn player and oh my word this sounds good.
1:03 I didn't know that instruments can get scared
I can attempt that trombone solo my highest note is a double G concert
😍😍😍
I can't tell witch Instrument each line represents besides the tuba
Trombones 1-4
I can't even read bass clef but this makese want to learn how 🤤
bruh i put trumpet on Juicy under the melody and lokey it goes harddddd
Im trying to find a good quality version of this, that isnt midi
Can anyone find the part, as the one in the link is no longer available :(
I wish I could play this, but the notes are way to high. If there was a version for trombone that was for beginners that would be awesome.
You can bring down some of the notes an octave
I play the bass clarinet and I learned how to play it actually
MY SCHOOL PLAYS THIS WE CALL IT SNAKEPIT
Nice
This is so cool I’m a first year trombone and I can play up to 1:31 I can’t wait till I get better to be able to play the whole thing
thats cap
We found this but its a much easier version of it, I started to play it but ended up giving up lol
Played once with band director found out trombone solo is physically impossible without a bass bone, I don’t thing the trombones wanna March bass bone 😂
Can you please send the music so i can play this
hey i cam across this on my youtube recommended and really enjoyed it can I use it for a beat
Yeah, go for it. But I would recommend taking a look at the updated version on my channel first
@@MiniRunaway alright thank you
@@MiniRunaway i have finished the beat is there anyway that I could send it to you to get your opinion
@@MiniRunaway alright will do
Play this one syllable out of sync
Know a dude who could play the majority of the high lead part (besides the obvious... extreme high notes lmao) and now I'm gonna practice to take his place. Wish me luck LMAO 👍
You would need a bass trombone.
Ben McKay or a tuba ahemn
Coolest version of sonic boom I’ve heard yet, but the trombone solos were too high for the majority of players. Just some constructive feedback
Wrote this in high school. Was never meant to be playable, regardless of how badly I wanted it to be lol
@@MiniRunaway Yeah fair enough.
i can play the first low part but after that its too hard for me
Ok either the simulation you used is really crappy or the Tuba is an octave lower than written, because at 1:41 that sure as hell isn’t an F1, that’s an F0, 2 octaves lower than what the bass trombone is playing.
It’s a crappy 2017 musescore simulation. Idk what you expected
@@MiniRunaway I mean considering it’s written as an F1 I’d think the very least it could do is make the note sound somewhat real, but it’s an octave low bro 💀
@@Tacoman542 bruh, 2017 musescore
@@MiniRunaway ok
Who in the hell disliked this video
I will litterally do anything for this arrangement
Tyler Rose check description
Our school plays this at the end of every football game.
Our version is easier I think and has a completely different euphonium solo.
Still very cool though, glad I found the original
Same bro it’s amazing
Also they don’t do that extra stuff they just is the beggining stuff
Artist: Starpoint
Song: Object of My Desire 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Yo, can you hit me up with the arrangement?
Raghav Pillai description
time to transpose this to only tooba
If that's an actual playable note in the 2nd trombone solo at 2:39 and anyone knows that note and slide position, can someone please tell me, my band's low brass is gonna play and I'm having trouble finding out what note that is
It’s a double F, they do exist but aren’t usually played.. Especially not for MB tunes unless you decide to at the end.
Jazz band tryout music
Where is this tune from??
Snake pit
but why does it go so hard tho?
The trombone solo is not possible on a straight pipe trombone, which is what is used in all marching bands...
Not with that attitude
MiniRunaway 😂
Um yes it is. Maybe not for you...
It actually is possible. I can reach the Quadruple G above the staff. All you gotta do is just practice your range and there
2:39 wtf is that! 😂
@MiniRunaway it wouldn’t let me send you a message, but I really want the score. What do you want me to do?
Just give me an email I can send it to
yeetskeet035@gmail.com
Please
The first measure, 3rd beat, would be easier to read as a simple 8th-note triplet. Pretty cool, though. Nice work.
It might be easier, but the and of the 4th beat can also double as a reference point for when the 1st trombone comes in at measure 9. Plus, I think this subdivision just sounds better.
Triplets is wrong for the rhythm, it makes it sound weird.
How can I message you for the pdf I didn't see any way to on musescore
The Zesty Xeno description maybe
no offense, but gawd damn this is harder to play than the babylon baritone duet.
sheet music for baritone?
Honestly i just learned it like this
Trombone and baritone reads the same music so u can look at the trombone part and you will be just fine bro!
