That’s a beautiful truck with professional job done👍🏻 Love it! Like my friend Josh would say: she’s paid for and the tank is full of gas at all times just in case my woman kicks me out!!!
Man your exhaust is so good sounding. I actually have the same truck that’s been sitting since like 2014 and I’m planning to get it back running and maybe get a supercharger for it. Is your engine the same as the stock one that comes with all indy rams??
Love these trucks!!! I've got a 99 Sport that's my work truck, parts hauler etc... But i just enjoy it so much...the 318 is still real strong with 230k miles, but its days are numbered. Either the RB 400 that's been laying around, or a carbureted 5.7 Hemi will get swapped in, along with fresh paint, since the original clear is starting to disappear. Yours is absolutely gorgeous. Well done!!!
What hp gains did you get out of the engine upgrades? I just bought an 01 sport with the 5.9 with only 5k original miles and am thinking of doing some upgrades in the near future
Puts my old clapped out 96 Sport to shame. I've got the faded paint, busted dash and 200k mile edition. But she's still a good old truck that I can't justify replacing cause I might do 25 miles a week. I only gave $4k for it in 04 and it doesn't owe me a dime. I think I'll just keep it and not have a payment.
Nice truck I bought one back in 96 brand new loved everything except the engine not enough power if it had your motor I would probably still own it in the middle of a 410 stroker build now for a short bed 99 ram who did the tune on your truck I can build the motor and put it in but know absolutely nothing about getting it to run with a computer thanks
Nice exhaust I have a 96 built like yours just a little bit more. Wonderful work. Do you happen to have the part number on the exhaust so I can order it. With the flanges
I always felt the SS/T was a gorgeous truck however, really needed the manual transmission behind the 360 from the factory. their just not as fun with the 46re.
Great video I have a 98 Dodge Ram SS/T my fathers truck. We are looking to restore it and put the 410 stroker. Can you email a parts list. My father and I both love the truck.

Very nicely done. Solid build. Were the heads something you had laying around? Shady Dell has been missing in action for a while. I have a few sets of RT heads I would love ported. They were old street port heads through KRC that was basically bowl blended. Did you get any flow numbers out of those heads when they were ported? Lastly, what was your final compression ratio and what fuel do you run? I looked at ATK before building mine but the compression was going to be too high with 62cc heads. Thanks and looking forward to more content!
Had the heads forever, had them ported around 2014. 287/200 at .550 and 293/202 at .600 from flow numbers he gave me. Not positive but if I recall correctly we figured it to be around 10.3-10.5 area. I run 93.
@@chinlinimotorsports9134 I appreciate that reply. Coming back since I just finished buttoning up my 408 this last week. I gotta say I am disappointed with the bottom end power right now. I am running a milder cam than you, a 224/230 .536/.544 on 114LSA and installed at 111.5 centerline. Its like my truck won't do much til 3000 rpm then it sets you back and pulls for as long as you want it to. I had hoped for power off idle. I am running Hughes air gap manifold and a 53x55mm FB throttle body. I have yet to get it tuned but was curious if you produced good power off idle or if it has to stall a little higher before getting going. Thanks!
Correct, it passed obd2 plug in emissions while tuned on stock computer. I have since switched it to terminator x however being older than 25 model years the inspection requirements are now lesser.
Hay man I love your truck very nice 👍🏻🤑 I have a 1997 SS/T it's white with the blue stripes can you tell me how do I make it a 410 stroker like what parts makes it a stroker that would be amazing thanks man God bless🤙🏻🤙🏻
I have a 1995 ram 1500 with a 5.2 magnum and I’m lookin to break the 400-500 horsepower range what would be best? I plan to keep it naturally aspirated
100% a stroker kit. If you get a kit that'll put your 5.2 over or around 400cui, you'll have all the torque in the world and a decent streetable build that could put you into the 450 flywheel HP range with no issue.
@@blade-fpv9411 with the stroker kit what else would I have to do to make sure I won’t break anything like a tranny. What should I do with the tranny so it can hold that kind of power?
@@harrisondanner2650 Well, if I'm being honest, I'm not very familiar with 2nd gen transmissions, so if i were you I'd get in contact with a performance transmission builder to see what you need just to be on the safe side. Your differential should be ok as long as you're not dumping it into gear from redline. Is it an auto truck or a manual? (Just curious haha)
Sounds and looks good! Ton of work - I have a 99 2500 4x4 5.9 360 that I want to upgrade to a 408 - not much info out there, have you had any issues with your built? I’m looking at 8k in 408 stroker kit, fuel injectors 30lbs, cam, and tuner + labor if I want it done right.
When it had the procharger it ate the thrust bearing. Naturally apsirated just bad main bearing due to oil pump issue. Otherwise no problems in several thousand miles of stroker use.
@@chinlinimotorsports9134 did they still read right since you did true duals? Since there’s only one upstream o2 and one downstream o2 they would only be on one side of the exhaust
@@chinlinimotorsports9134 that’s good thanks! Sorry I’m asking so much questions I just love your setup, final question is I assume you have wideband o2 for an afr gauge and if so I assume you put it in the h pipe?

Absolutely beautiful truck that runs as good as it looks. So clean and well built.
This is the nicest 2nd gen I’ve ever seen, definitely makes me want to build one 🤙
This truck sounds absoulutley amazing especially at idle i love the thump
sometimes i forget sometimes vehicles are machines the sounds they make sounds as if its a Living, concious beast.
I had the same truck 1996 indy ram. Didn't swap out the engine like you did but did alot of upgrades. Nice job. I miss that truck ...
That sounds amazing. It’s like Uncle Sam himself is tapping the drums to the best of an OHV v8
Sounds good! That FRP tune probably woke that stroker right up. And for a first try exhaust she looks and sounds amazing. Kudos bro!
That's one gorgeous build! Nicely done brother!
Sounds very good!.. I have mopar fever just by looking at this video!.. 🤪😎
That Idle got me feeling like Im in an African tribe during a celebration. I got that drum type beat!😂😂 I love the truck man
Dude your truck is insane
Nice truck... starting my own 5.9 stock build soon!

Cool, what’s done to it? The slip fit pipe was a jegs brand hot rod builder kit.
Nice truck too, nicely done
I have a 96 Indy and installed 4:10 gears as well. What did you do to get the Speedo to read properly?
Changed speedometer gear out for one with different tooth count. Don’t remember how many teeth it is now though, long time ago.
