    I went to Art College (CalArts) and learned to draw the human figure there. Once a week, we had a life drawing class that was 6 hours long (maybe twice a week?). I studied animation in school so we had to learn how to draw anatomy for all kinds of angles.
    Since college I've picked up a lot of books to study the skeletal structure and how the muscles work. At first it's difficult to understand but you learn things one step at a time and slowly but surely you gain more understanding.

      If u learned all that..
      Does it mean you can draw a DC or Marvel type comics but u choose manga instead...?
      Is drawing manga comics a choice for you or is it something you found out works for you...

    @MushiXD I'm using a Uni X-gel mechanical pencil. It has a gel grip, very comfortable. There are ones with a bigger grip. I bought both and like the thinner gel grip. Lead I'm using is 0.5 "B" . Finding a good pencil can make drawing more enjoyable-- for me, comfort is key.

    Am I strange to get the fist that's closer more easy than the one that's further away? I can't get that one so I made it droop to his side cuz I suck

    This was a great video man, I've just been drawing scenes from manga i'm interested in but your methods of line placement are really great, it's like adding math to it and everyone loves math ^_^

  • @dallin551
    @dallin551 12 лет назад

    Wow man thank you, what I like about your style is that you lay out geography and angles for body parts and positioning. Teaching the technique for mapping out the desired pose is far more useful than a line-by-line of one pose in one particular video.

    You are an amazing teacher! I love how you just say "put a c there, then a bigger C" instead of this is the bisep, this is the (whatever other muscles there are). I'm terrible at anatomy. And the dot for the little hair swirls...I've never thought of that! It's really helping! Thanks so much!

    my camera is a Sony Vixia HF10, fairly old camera but it shoots HD. I got it hmmm, maybe 4-5 years ago and it was about $200. I would get HD so you can get the best possible image of your drawings.
    My camera setup is a little difficult to describe. I attach my camera to a tripod but the legs are closed. I lay the tripod on a shelf that is on my desk and the camera points down at my paper. That's it :) If that is too confusing I'll make a video about it; been meaning to for a long time.

    The other artists also teach how to draw such kind of position.... But it seems that they are just trying to finish their videos. They Don't show us the easiest way. No matter if we are learning from their videos or not, they just wanna make a video for views... But you showed the easiest way... Many many thanks...
