Im watching this with my wife(she's never seen the OG or "movie"). She couldn't understand why I was giggling like a school girl waiting for my boi to finally yell "my CABBAGES!!!". Now she gets it 😂😂😂 Love the vids fam. **PSA thumbnail still says "EP2" btw lol
This Azula is a little more bratty, but otherwise the same. Mai and Tai Lee are definitely the same. Even Mai's speedy rewording, when confronted by Azula's anger. Or her mentioning Zuko in such a positive light.
The best addition of this Episode was how they added an aspect of "Internal Conflict" in the Fire Nation. Not everyone is on board with Ozai's schemes. Which is a big departure from the weird cult-like following of the original show. And... it falls in-line with our own history with fascist regimes. None of them stood completely unopposed within their own countries. But most were snuffed out.
I agree, I also like them showing the internal conflict within the Fire Nation. It gives us a more (nuanced) human side of the people of the Fire Nation, there has to be a lot more good people within the Fire Nation.
Very true comparison to real life fascists regimes. Even if it’s not the majority there are always at least a few people willing to stand up for what’s right.

As do all, who witness the greatness of Cabbage Cart Man!
I love how Iroho's fire has a slight dragon's roar to it, to really drive home his nickname of being the dragon of the west
Probably as a nod to him learning True Fire Bending as well. Could be what will happen when Zuko learns True Firebending?
every episode is fire netflix keep those deatils in it and brings back so much memories
Loving your reaction so far bother! Love this ATLA adaptation too!
😡🔥”MY… MY… MY CABBAGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!” 🔥😡
They captured Azula, Mai, and Tai Lee perfectly, lol.
