Looks like this might be the best way to find this gen of 4runner in the US now since they are all high mileage, most rusty, and all expensive

      Also 4Runner in Australia.
Hilux Surf / 4Runner has been replaced with Toyota Fortuner (based from Hilux; Australia, Asia, Africa, etc.) and 4Runner in North America (based from Tacoma)

@@FrancisLitanofficialJAPINOY, The 3rd gen hilux surf was only sold in Japan new. the only other country that got them new was the usa as a 3rd gen 4runner. australia got the 2nd gen which they called a 4runner. like most other countrys in the world they all settled with the toyota prado 90 which is the exact same truck with a different body.the only 3rd gens you will find around thw world have been imported from japan.

Definitly the way to go dude and then you can get a intercooled TD which was not a option in the 4runner

@@seanhutton7155 gotta say I'd take the 90 if I had a choice, love me a 90, but both are great, so the North American market is the only place the "new" 4runner is sold?

Ok, that rear spoiler with the electric mirror in it, is awesome. Features in/on Japanese cars in the 90's, are the best. We always got the crap in North America.

Love it how its mostly the cars that turn out to be not as hoped to put it best that you do the videos on....kinda soften the blow for the buyer before it even leaves japan :)

So I don’t pick what cars that we feature in the channel. It’s completely up to the buyer if we do or not. The fact is that we sell a lot of cars to the USA where cars need to be 25 years old to be legal. By that time, most of them are going to need some work. This is a good opportunity for potential buyers to see the kinds of cars they might potentially buy. I will be honest about the condition of the car whether good or bad. It’s just how I like to do business.

i live in New Zealand and i brought my mint 1996 Toyota surf SSRG two years ago from japan and got it back into my country for $16,000NZD including all fees. this comes to a total of $9.000 usd . i understand America is a bit further away but i could not imagine it would cost more than 15k usd for a absolute mint example.I got very lucky as my truck has every option avalible including Recaro interior

It actually matters is the car was bought with registration or not. Cars with current registration on them have to be converted to our name before export. Then you don’t get to see the address of who previously owned it. Sad, I know.
