    Hey Maggie, thanks for this amazing walkthrough on how to find clients. I've done a similar approach before when I was looking for clients who needed SEO services and the points that you made as well as the video itself are so personalized!
    This is a good strategy. I was just wondering how would you approach it if you're providing other services where the needs of the client can't exactly be determined just by looking at the website or keywords or ads.
    For example, virtual assistance. We can't know if the clients need help day-to-day tasks or other virtual assistant services, is there another way to pitch?

    • @Maggie-Stara
      @Maggie-Stara  3 года назад +1

      Thank you Bryan and that's a great question! I started out as a VA/SMM blend so I totally feel you on this one. I think in that case my approach would be more around just checking out things they're doing on a regular basis and picking a few points I might be able to talk to. So for example if I see that they publish blog posts but have long gaps between posts I could say "I see that you're creating some awesome blog content, but maybe consistency is a bit difficult because you're juggling 100 things all at the same time... I might be able to help make this a smoother process for you in terms of helping you stay on track and consistent for your audience but also help with any content writing as I have a great deal of SEO experience"
      So that's how I would go about the VA angle in terms of 'where can I save you time, money or help you stay organised' with a bit of a personal angle of where my additional skills can maybe fit into that. Does that help Bryan? :)

    • @brcaranto
      @brcaranto 3 года назад

      @@Maggie-Stara 100%! Thanks! That definitely helps! It's not really for me though, it's for someone I know who's an awesome VA but is having problems finding clients. Just finished creating a website and copy for her... now it's just time to help her pitch. And I'll definitely follow your advice. Thanks, Maggie!

    • @Maggie-Stara
      @Maggie-Stara  3 года назад

      @@brcaranto ah gotcha, well the advice is still applicable hehe just maybe adjust to their skillset but every business owner who has had a VA will tell you that the biggest asset is their care factor. So by pitching this way that's the main thing she would be showing and it's a no brainer for any business to at the very least consider someone who approaches a working relationship like this. Let me know if you have any other questions at all and best of luck to the VA!
      Also if you want to drop a link to the website you've created I'd be happy to check it out and let you know if I can think of anything that she could add to make herself stand out as well :)

    I love this video with a more soft approach to getting clients, I struggle with this a lot. One question I have, just so I am clear. When you are doing the call to the client (Christine) are you filming your screen for her to see at the same time too? So you are running zoom and loom at the same time? (lol that sounds funny)

    • @Maggie-Stara
      @Maggie-Stara  3 года назад

      Hi Sabrina, great question! So in this case this is a video through Loom that I would just send to Christine, and then through messenger set up a time to jump on a call to take the conversation further which we would then do over Zoom 😊on Zoom I would then maybe go over a few more things and then send through a proposal for my services. I hope that makes sense but let me know if there's anything else at all that I can help with 😊

  • @jessicalewis8544

    Wow. This was really helpful! (though I'm high-key camera shy) A few quick questions that popped up in my head while watching: How do you know if they're tracking their ads or not? How do you know if they're using Facebook pixel? Anyways, loved the vid.

    • @Maggie-Stara
      @Maggie-Stara  4 года назад +2

      Hi Jessica, I'm so sorry this was not clear from the video. For Facebook ads you can download the 'facebook pixel helper' Google Chrome extension that will tell you whenever there is a Facebook Pixel installed on any page you visit. Then you can head over to facebook.com/ads/library/ to see the ads they're actually running (if they're running any) just because they have the pixel installed doesn't necessarily mean they're running ads. And likewise, some people run ads even though they don't have the pixel installed which is a big mistake but it does happen.
      As for Google Ads it's not as straight forward. Google Tag Assistant Chrome Extension will tell you if they have their Google tracking codes installed. But it can be tougher to see if they're running ads. In this case I just happened to be in the same local area as the business so I could guess what keywords they would advertise for and see if any of their ads pop up. For global brands this isn't really possible but you could use it as a jumping off point if their ads don't show up you could show them that and say 'I typed in family psychology into Google and your ad doesn't show up... let me know if you would like to chat to me about how to fix that'.
      There might be a very good reason for why they're not running ads or ads for that particular keyword but again it's just a way to start a conversation 😊 I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions at all that I can help with ❤️

      Hey Obza, it's a great question - unfortunately there's no right or wrong answer. I liked starting out in an industry I was familiar with which was around mental health and wellness. • @JLThisisMe
    @JLThisisMe 3 года назад

    Thanks for the video. Very informative. Just one question . . . .for those people in other areas, do you have any suggestions as to what parameters to use in finding relevant FB groups with members to approach with this method?

    • @Maggie-Stara
      @Maggie-Stara  3 года назад +1

      Great question Jonathan. You can absolutely search through Facebook for groups based on industry keywords or geographic keywords depending on the area you're talking about. For example 'Canadian Realtors' or 'Freelancers in Greece' would be both industry and geographic-specific keywords.
      But then I usually narrow it down based on how active the group is and how many members are in it. Ideally the more members the better and you want a group people are actively engaging with because there are also a lot of dead groups on FB sadly.
      Does that help a bit? Let me know and I'd be happy to help support you further :)

    Maggie, just curious about How many Clients can you get on 1-3 months as a full beginner with this Video Loom? ... Can it landed 3-4 Clients per 50 Persons? I love this method anyway, seems like it can be Convincing New People other than just sending Cold Emails.

    • @Maggie-Stara
      @Maggie-Stara  3 года назад +1

      Hey Denny, it's a great question without a direct answer I'm afraid. Every potential client is different... some people posting in Facebook groups asking for help are serious about outsourcing and some are just feeling the waters. And every freelancer is different... your approach to doing a video like this would be totally different from mine and that's a great thing! This is by far the most effective strategy I've found in comparison to cold emailing, running ads for your services or anything else. Because at the VERY LEAST people will definitely reply. They may not become your client but they might know another business owner who will and might refer you. Whereas cold emails are mostly ignored by people who aren't interested because they'll feel like you copied and pasted it so they don't feel like they owe you a reply. With this approach it's a human instinct to think 'wow they put SO much effort into this... I'll at least reply' :)

    I have completed facebook marketing course. Which skill should I offer to clients as a beginner ? facebook page growth organically by posting social content or facebook ads ?

    • @Maggie-Stara
      @Maggie-Stara  2 года назад

      Hi Shubham, congrats on your course completion! Offering your clients Facebook ads services will always be the more lucrative way to go as opposed to organic services. But if you can offer a mix of both and are comfortable with executing on both then your clients will love you! The difference between the two comes down to being a social media manager/community manager which may or may not involve paid ads, and a facebook ads marketer which is primarily ads focused. And the rates you can charge for organic services vs. paid ads is generally vastly different.
