RIP TERRY HALL. Jerry Dammers discovered Hall from seeing these boys live.
It's not Terry hall singing it's gus chambers
@@gazcook6218 I know Gaz, I didn't say he was singing, I said he was discovered whilst in the band playing live. He may have sung it at a gig. Who knows, but it's a terrible loss for all fans of the 2Tone movement and The Specials
Rip Terry Hall !
RIP Terry Hall
R.I.P Terry hall
R I P ,TERRY HALL AND GUS CHAMBERS

played bass with them at a one off gig at Busters when Gus came back for holiday from America. one of my favourite gig memories. Brilliant band,
I have this single. Always loved this track. A mate of mine Rob played drums for them at one point. Was a great time in Coventry
Was that Rob the barber in Kenilworth, who played drums for the Mix?
Yeah, and went on to run a small studio in Coventry for a while

The "shout red alert" hook on this song is straight fire.

There's a Kvekertok (A current Oslo band .) song that I'd swear they bit that exquisite little high guitar lick from .

Gus recorded a cd under the band name Squad 21 from around 2004 I think? It’s well worth tracking down. I sawSquad21 play at the dome in morecambe they were fantastic! R.I.P. Gus
I remember I first met gig at a gig on Cov, I charged him and he was like "do you know who I am ?" and took the stamp off me and stamped me in the forehead with it, gave me the stamp back and walked in without paying haha!
I donated my rare copy to the music museum in coventry
RIP Gary...
@ISawRed123
No this is the late Gus, who took over from Terry Hall. I don't think Hall ever recorded with them.
Lyrics:
I've been watching you!
I really like the way you move.
When you get on the floor
You're such a lady!
Go dance with me.
And be my baby.
I get off my seat.
I guess to dance with you will be real treat.
I go to Discotheque.
I like the Bee Gees!
Lets do the Tiger Beat.
Till we get crazy!
Everybody go on your feet and dance!
We're doing the Tiger Beat Twist! (Repeat)
I'm in love with you!
No one can dance the way you do.
When you get on the floor.
You're such a lady!
Let's do the Tiger Beat!
Till we get crazy!
Everybody get on your feet and dance!
We're doing the Tiger Beat Twist.
(Repeat)
Pretty sure Terry never recorded anything with them, so this must be Gus Chambers.
Me mum's name was Alice Petch - Not that it makes us relatives or drummers ;P
