U know what amazes me u gotta respect these anglers man u trying to fish with drones buzzing around your head 100 chase boats following u that would get on my last nerve respect these fellers it ain't easy by no means 👍
Is there a new rule that says that the Fishermen cant use nets they all either flip of grab them with their hands. I used to see them net the bass, but i didnt see a single angler use a net all tournament. I might just be blind but just wondering? Thx all
You might be thinking of a different tournament series. The net ban stretches back to the beginnings of B.A.S.S. competition. Ray Scott was insistent that anglers land their fish by hand. - Sara
Bassmaster holy crap bass masters actually responded! Thank you! And honestly i may be remembering a flw tourney, or another, but that is cool, and it adds some suspense to a already nerve rattling event, and i am just watching on youtube!
There are several reasons: The Elite Series is not a draw or pro-am event, therefore no one is available to help them land the fish. In addition, it is more of a challenge to land bass by hand than with a net. The main point is that it is equal for everybody - an angler's success isn't based on how good his partner is with a landing net.
You can tell all these guys are so passionate about this sport. Really inspiring. Im rooting for them all!

Cull tags. Our anglers can only bring in five fish. So they'll use these tags to keep up with the fish in their live well. - Sara
