    It's crazy re-watching this... because the day I saw this, I went straight to my local shop (The Guitar Shop, Ontario) in the midst of a blizzard and grabbed one.

    Just WOW. I bought this pedal a few days ago and just plugged in with it a few minutes ago. It really gives more feeling to the lead playing and the crunchy overdrive tones are just perfect. I am now researching JHS because this pedal is so well done. Thanks a lot!

    I recently bought the AT pedal, it really is great! its about the only pedal you can go from a clean channel to a lovely creamy distortion with nothing else.

    The smirk on Andy's face when rips into KISS' I Stole Your Love at 9:10 is priceless. Great sounding pedal.

    Really does sound like the tone on Resolution! Turns a clean amp into a cranked Plexi !? Schweet!

    Hi Jhs. Can you please recommend a good distortion pedal to use with a Roland jazz chorus 120 amp? Please answer.

    I know Andy like to hit the front of the amp hard with some clean boost in one of his pedals. Does anyone know if he is using something like this in addition to his signature pedal or does this explain why he is pushing the output so high when using the pedal by itself?

    • @ripplebear
      @ripplebear 6 лет назад

      I remember one video where he was dialing his compressor output pretty hard too. So all of those combined probably make up his pushing hard sound. Wiah I had better info, I just learned about Andy recently

    • @beesong2450
      @beesong2450 6 лет назад

      Nope he doesnt use any clean boosts. Just the pedal infront of the amp. That dual compressor he only uses for clean tones.

    Can somebody please explain to me how Andy Timmons manages to drive his amps so hard with the pedal levels, but doesn’t make his amps noisy??

    Hey JHS. I have an Angry Charlie and love it. I was wondering, other then the "watt" switch that effects the amount of compression and gain what are all the difference between the AC and AT? Are they voiced any different, and if yes how so? ETC. Thanks

    • @DoomedDawn
      @DoomedDawn 9 лет назад +1

      I am also curious about the differences between AC and AT... Maybe JHS will provide the answer.

    • @coffeewaldo
      @coffeewaldo 8 лет назад

      Me too. I have 2 AC's. Do I need a pedal that is basically the AC adjusted differently?

    • @coffeewaldo
      @coffeewaldo 8 лет назад +1

      Ps still think u should put the All American back out there. Best rat clone ever.

    • @coffeewaldo
      @coffeewaldo 8 лет назад

      Well got the AT different enough than the AC to keep. I really like it.

    • @Cominghour
      @Cominghour 8 лет назад

      +schrom81 The "tone" and "air" knobs on it are both different low-pass filters to be able to control some of the obnoxious or bitey "highs" that he talks about not liking. That in addition to the watt switch are the functional differences.

    I think if you guys added the 25,50 and 100 watt switch to the V3 angry Charlie,you would sell double what you're selling now!

  • @luckylicks3497
    @luckylicks3497 8 лет назад

    Dear JHS,
    I'd like to know how the AT compares to the Angry Charlie. The new toggle is obvious, but what about the voicing?
    Has the AT been softened and smoothened down from that gnarly, edgy grind of the Angry Charlie?
    How has the TONE been modified to the new EQ? What's been done to the PRESENCE to have made it AIR?
    With the AT, do I still get all I'd get from the Angry Charlie? Please help, need to know soon! Thanks

    Too fuzzy for me, the amp is buried under it, a TS808 or klon can do the same thing and you will hear the tubes working

      you have no idea what you´r talking about

    • @mrmatthew2443
      @mrmatthew2443 10 месяцев назад

      What..!!$@“ NO.!!! An 808 takes a ton of bass away and compresses the tone to an unusable degree
      As soon as you step on a 808 or any tube screamer you get a separation of the direct guitar signal and it replaces it with the horrible mid humped fake distortion / overdrive !!!
      Ok , yes if you have a fender amp then you can use the big mids hump on. Screamer but the AT+ doesn’t add and subtract critical signal like a screamer , it’s far more transparent and maintains your original signal 100x’s better
      You can use the neck pickup with a tube screamer , I’ll give you that but that’s the only similarity
