Check out my follow up video explaining how the Chinese group's continued attacks/excuses after the incident are straight from the CCP's playbook: ruclips.net/video/1007sN6a7sA/видео.html
Really great Video explaining it very well. I lived in China for almost 10 years and studied Chinese. It's a great country, with many great people. But it is a shame, that most of the people are brainwashed with the CCP propaganda. Actually I am not really interested in politics, but if the topic does come up, and you criticize something gouvernment related, it always feels like you attack the person on a personal level. So usually I just try to avoid talking about politics. And I think you, Ally, have a great future ahead of you here on youtube. My guess is, that your channel will get very big. Really nice work. :)
I did enjoy your video very much and thank you for explaining what you did, but it seems you lack some information. Apparently there was a Chinese lady in the background who is being investigated by MI5 that may have not wanted her image on RUclips being linked with a Pro CCP situation being done in a London Train station.
That looks totally staged, they have flags and start an angry argument in a foreign country? Really stay in your country then then. This girl does not know what happened she is making excuses for that awful display by those Chinese guests. Again if you do not know how to behave in foreign countries, stay home!!!!!
Resided in china a long while. If only most chinese women in china were as intelligent as this woman. Sadly in shenzhen many young chinese women seemed so lost, SEVERELY DELUSIONAL, and nutso propagandized.
The raised voice was to draw attention. “Don’t touch her!” was insinuating sexual harassment or assault despite the fact that Branden was merely pointing at the flag. “You’re not the same age!” was further insinuating sexual impropriety. He was also quick to play the race card. That Newton dude knew very well what he was doing!
@@baggobilbins5183 nah. Newton wasn't setting Brendan up. It's probably a culture thing. Brendan was acting childlike, probably inappropriate given his age . They just understand that better. Thence expectations you don't conceive.
Don't touch her... Coz Brendan was about to. Not so much the touch, as to meaning attached. You could bump me at the subway, and it's what it is. But if there's Intent behind it, whatever it be....or Hidden even.... That's an entirely different affair.
@@iridescentsea3730 yep. But it's interceptor. Like what Iron Dome protocol does to incoming rockets and shells. It's deterrence. Brendan was getting abit too close. Screaming was more at the impending idea(or spirit) from Brendan I think. Was outrage *shrugs*
The young Chinese lady constantly touched and fondled with her flag on the video during the argument. The flag and the racism allegations were just diversionary tactics to gaslight Brenden and to play the victim when they realised he wasn't budging about the filming. They wanted the use of the piano and for Brenden to stop filming, all the rest of the talking was word salad and noise to put everyone off guard. It worked with the police woman.
so many people are SO easily misguided. it makes my head physically hurt tbh (i have to be careful about it and figuratively stick my head in the sand really quickly at tiems for my mental health). it's even MUCH worse in the US (where, paradoxically, they are just so sure they are openminded individualists). they fall in line to a very-particular hive-minded mob-sensibility faster in the US than anywhere else in the world.
I was just so disgusted and shocked when I saw the video. I never seen such hypocrites. Completely enjoying all the freedoms afforded to them as visitors and yet trying to oppress a native citizen of their rights. It was astonishing. I never seen anything like it. A lot of self entitled narcissism.
CCP has been doing this kind of bullying for the last few decades after they have been well fed by Euro and USA against its smaller neighbour country especially Taiwan.
Indeed, the female officer should have come to hear the other side of the story before saying that there were “allegations being made”, and she shouldn’t have asked him to turn his camera off. Very bad form on her part.
As soon as they enter another country they think they're better than anyone else. They have the worst reputation as tourists. Very rude, disrespectful and entitled!!! Most countries I've visited do not like Chinese tourists. For good reason.
That's because you're from a civilized society in the West. The CCP is corrupt, useless and neanderthal - don't expect people who fight for it to have any civilized behavior.
Newton knew it was all an act, he shouted 'don't touch her' to gain public awareness and try to make it look like the pianist was doing something harassing, and even awkwardly added "you aren't the same age" and tried to weaponize racism obviously not knowing what it means. This happens all the time in China, I'm surprised the lady didn't roll around on the floor gasping for breath like they do too, thinking they could sue for money. The social media response later was all the same antics, shifting blame, making other people look bad, making things up. Sadly, living in China for a long time, my only fear was they they don't try that stuff in the west, but here we are ey.
Nope. Sorry but I don’t buy it. He screamed “Don’t touch HER! You are not the same AGE.”He is trying to make Brendon look like he is an older man assaulting a woman who is apparently younger than him and create “witnesses” for the police who they called. Now unless the flag has she/her pronouns and is still very young I think that turning this into an issue about the flag is 💯 bogus!! This is a deflection from utterly unacceptable behaviour!! This guy is just simply an entitled arrogant individual who totally misjudged the situation and disrespected another human being.
"Why are you calling me a communist?" "Because your holding a communist flag. It's right there." "No I'm not." "Yes you are!" -- That bit was like a Monty Python skit.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. In my country (Canada) the CCP set up Chinese "Police Stations" that Chinese Canadians are encouraged to go to for "help". In fact, they collect information on Chinese Canadians and intimidate them not to speak out against CCP. When police closed down some stations, the China associations hosting the stations sued for $4.9 million in damages. Clearly, the Chinese government needs to learn "correct behaviour" towards other nations.
Pero eso eso ilegal cómo es posible que un país extranjero tenga comisaría o estación policía en tu país, algo malo está haciendo el gobierno que no está al tanto de ese problema, ustedes cómo ciudadanos lo pueden denunciar.
Completely illegal. That could be interpreted as trying to erect a parallel government, to oppose the real and elected one. All of those should be closed, the one running them charged with treason, and deported right away.
Imagine a group of American tourists doing this in China. Waving an American flag, shouting at a local internet celebrity trying to take over a public place. Would they EVER leave the chinese prison?
They also wouldn’t get a pass from the US public, who would be embarrassed by their boorish behavior and mercilessly mock them, if not outright “cancel” them. Also, I’m trying to imagine said group of Americans being offended by being mistaken for Canadians. “These Chinese bigots deliberately provoked us by repeatedly calling us Canucks!” But we all know a CCP apologist would never miss a chance to spit on Japan.
Better do your research before posting. Because serpentza and laowhy86 have been making RUclips videos publicly criticizing CCP and China for many years. Most of their video were filmed inside China, and as far as I know they are not in a Chinese prison😅
No, Chinese are being way more friendly. We don't call you a capitalist if you are holding a US flag in China. And we don't hold on a public piano for 40 minutes and attacking other because of their ethnicity.
7:55 I actually don't think that is why he is offended and called him a racist. Remember he walked over to have this conversation with a confident smile on his face. I think he just wanted to quickly bluff and bully the piano player into letting them make their video. He is quite familiar that calling someone racist is a powerful accusation. So, he acted offended about everything and wanted to loop the conversation back to racism in order to use this powerful accusation. The average person will just concede and withdraw. Unfortunately for Newton, he made a miscalculation. Livestreamers and public musical performers have some of the highest self confidence in the world and this piano player was both. He was never going to cower and concede to a bully. Anyone with a decent social IQ would have known that within seconds of meeting him.
Yes. That wog was not winning any arguments, so he decides to scream & yell to get some attention & when he got some, he pulled the racism card.. None of the BS about what the flag stands for or touching "her"
Yeah, he was escalating and wanting to make a drama, as they're the larger group many people would not stand their ground or would make more errors responding in ways they could use.
Absolutely abhorrent of Newton stoop so low and escalate what was civil discourse into a cheap act for the crowd, screaming sexual assault and racism knowing full well none such occurred. That the women refused to correct him and Newton wears his cheap, Jussie Smollet charade like a badge is deplorable
This is sad on various levels. If they were hoping to promote Chinese culture, then I think they did more harm than good. Over 8 million viewers worldwide have seen this, and the vast majority are not impressed. Far better to win friends than start an argument. Secondly it misrepresents Chinese people, most of whom are polite, friendly and hospitable. Thirdly, the notion you can impose Chinese laws in London naturally backfired, just as if Brendan had tried to impose UK laws in Beijing. Lastly, all Brendan needed to say was no UK laws were broken here. St Pancras station is huge, if you don't want your faces on camera, just walk away, don't go up to the cameraman and peer into the lense !
It has nothing to do with chinese people , most of chinese (especially HONGKONGERS & TAIWANESE ) are friendly people , what really happened is the example of some chinese who have been infected by communism and their mindset are indoctrinated by totalitarianism .
Chinese people are not polite, friendly and hospitable. They are rude, crude and don’t know how to use a toilet seat. I’ve seen their behavior as tourist in our country.
That group of Chinese youths were total kill joys. Never impose your ideas or view points when you are in a foreign country..... especially when you are there as guests.
No matter how you cut this, it's a poor showing for China and the MET police. It just reinforces what people think about China and the Chinese people outside of China, which is very disappointing, the pianist behaved very well under the circumstances not sure I would have been so polite.
The Met don't usually cover themselves in glory whenever a situation like this occurs. They always seem to assume that a foreign complainant is always the innocent party.
Oh No! Please just think of China as a gigantic cult, but there are a lot I mean a lot of Chinese both inside and outside of China are very well aware of how evil the CCP are! And definitely Not in lockstep with them!!! Only “little pinks” as we call them are the pathetic puppet of CCP. They make their living working for CCP. So yes, a lot of Chinese through years of brainwashing by the CCP are equating CCP with Chinese people, however in recent years more and more Chinese are awakening by the information and facts they’re able to access through internet. To sums it up, Not all Chinese are like that😅
It was British Transport Police involved not MET Police. Plus, before the ill informed female Officer became actively involved, her male colleagued had already informed the Chinese group that filming in a Public area was legal.
The Met were not involved at all. The Hi-Vis being worn are clearly labelled 'British Transport Police'. This is the UK-wide force that polices the railways. Your bias is showing.
Expertly explained, their attitudes changed when Christine Lee appeared, a woman who was exposed as a Chinese agent by British security service, Still im just pleased they never saw the 1970s British sitcom Mind Your Language
They knew each other. Part of conduit between Beijing and London. Probably conveying positive side of exchange. They are co-operative in essence. And not what you'd think when Chinese agent comes to mind. But yes they are agents from Beijing side. It's who they work for. Even as go-betweens.
@@davidzwicker5662 I think it has to do with not wanting to deal with spoiled little emperors. You make it sound like hordes of chinese will come to the defence of these flag wavers

@@NeilMartin98 No it is not. The Chinese government DOES NOT recognise it. If a Chinese person wants to become British they HAVE to give up their Chinese citizenship. Now I'm sure they'd make allowances for CERTAIN people. Capiche?
Imagine British people turning up to China and acting like this in public making a scene about Britain being great and touching the British flag, demanding Chinese people move off a Public Piano. They'd be arrested in 30 seconds.
During the altercation Brenden almost finished a phrase but was stopped mid way "When in Rome". This is a British term that basically means, when abroad respect and behave as the culture of that country does. "When in Rome, do as the Romans do". Nothing but respect for other cultures. I have had the opportunity through work to visit many countries and experience many cultures. I always visited with respect and a willingness to learn about my fellow humans from distant lands. I grew as a person and have no regrets. I would never turn up on foreign soil to then shout and demand people behave the way I expect them too. I always wanted to learn and appreciate the diversity of cultures. These Little Pinks have embarrassed themselves, they have embarrassed China and most of all they have embarrassed their culture which they should never have done. They should be proud for what they stand for right or wrong. They quite clearly have no respect for themselves or anyone else. This could have been a proud moment for them, but instead they chose to abuse. This is not what I received when I worked and lived in China. Politics is politics, real people don't behave like this. Shame on them and they shamed their country of origin by their actions. This is not the Chinese way !
Chinese English-learners learn "When in Rome" pretty early on. It shows he's not qualified to hold his overseas positions. Besides, they have an equivalent phrase 入乡随俗
I believed you stayed in China for relatively short time, you didn't experience the true natue of chinese nowadays. Their culture is only 70+ years. The old culture are all gone. All the little pinks that works or lived overseas are "educated" to be like this. There is no shame for them. This is their chinese way.

The Chinese group not only tactlessly tried to use the piano, they were also so easily triggered to raise an emotional reaction that truly made them look quite noxious.
I think you're mistaken about the reason Newton yelled "don't touch her". He proceeded to say "you're not the same age", which doesn't make sense if referring to the flag. He also asked the woman whether she wanted to be touched. He was obviously trying to frame Dr K of sexual harassment, as he well knows that it's a hot topic in Western Culture at the moment. I don't think they're naive or brainwashed. I think they made a mistake and tried to correct it by manipulation and force, but then faced the Streisand effect.
😅yes. I too spotted the "sexual" intent comment as a diversion to win his war. backfired ! Thank God for freedom to record in public and that he streamed much to that uninformed officer/guard 's contesting
Absolutely. He's a member of the LGBTQ+ community and attended a foreign languages studies university in China. I attended one, myself, in china and that breeds a bunch of insufferable gay men with small emperor complex. He tried all the victim cards
Yes exactly if he was worried about the flag, why did he talk about all kinds of weird stuff but not the flag? I think she made that lie up because you could not see his hands and so she thought she could lie about what happened outside the camera. But still she said he was trying to steal the flag and the upper body motion precludes an attempts at grabbing or lunging, his movements were minimal but that CCP woman was trying to make it sound like he was in some way aggressive. She also claims in that video that his livestream was edited to make her look bad but it's not possible to edit livestreams. She's apparently really bad at making up lies LOL!
It all comes down to fear. Fear of what the CCP would do to THEM when they returned to China. If the Chinese secret police found their images on RUclips later on while Brendan was doing his thing, THEY would be in trouble and sent to the camps. It's weird, fear-based Chinese law. It's to make sure ANY image of ANY Chinese citizen, ANYWHERE, is monitored, censored, and controlled. The only reason that regime still exists is because of Outside investment over the decades.
There's a saying. It can takes years or decades to build a reputation or relationship, and just seconds to ruin it. I feel like Chinese Europeans and Chinese Americans are now mostly thought of as polite, well educated, and industrious citizens because they've spent generations working hard to become assimilated and accepted. It just took seconds for Newton Leng to be an imbecile and hurt what Asians have worked towards.
I agreed 100%. Most Chinese people are kind and friendly. Even at the beginning of the video, Mengying and Newton are nice. However, when someone touched their benefit, the bad people turned out.
@@peekaboopeekaboo1165 Actually Yes... You need to stop blaming racism every time you are dealt a bad card. In this case, it was not racism as you believe. The whole interaction was perfectly friendly until the small ego, low status Newton felt the need to assert himself and start yelling. Then everything went south. Yes, anti-Asian hate crimes do exist in the Western world. I don't deny that. In the US, it's interesting to note that most are committed by other "minorities" and not Caucasians.
this is a helpful review of the event. i think the Shouty Guy was just very rude, regardless of his school training. Nothing by Brendan that he reacted to so rudely was even vaguely impolite or unfriendly, and going to another country means being aware that it is a *different* country
I stumbled on that video while browsing different piano videos, when that man started shouting like that i went into attack mode. My fiancé asked why i was suddenly got Frantic (i got mental issues). WHY IS HE SHOUTING LIKE THAT?! "Darling, he is kinese. That is what they do, manipulating the situation by acting aggressively. Kulture thing" Not exactly his words but i was too riled up to accept that someone would scream and behave like that. If that man did that to me, there is a huge chanse that my first reaction would be too attack his as a deadly threat, i would bite his face if i was the target of his abrupt sound attack! I am soooo happy i was not near that man 🙏 more for my own sake, because I would regret it when I calmed down. Disgusting behaviour, but i feel calmer after seeing this video. I want to believe this is not Chinese behaviour, brainwashed behaviour is in all countries after all❤
I lived in China for 20 years, that idea of people, country, and government being exactly the same thing is absolutely true. Trying to explain to a young person that you can love your country and dislike your government is almost offensive. But the double standard of filming him while telling him not to film them is also very very common.
Not true. I've also lived in China and still live here today, the majority of people don't have an interest in politics or their government they don't go around "loving them" undeniably.
@@peekaboopeekaboo1165 Give it up, I see you everywhere trying to wash the floor for CCP and many other negative CCP incidents. The whole thing was live streamed, get over it, CCP lost, pick and choose your fights carefully.
Ally explained this well - There are key points to take away, that is regarded as Common sense in Western Countries. 1. Raising your voice agressively is how you start conflict - If you are in someone elses Country, your Ignorance will not be readily accepted. 2. Not understanding the Country's/Environment (you are in)'s law & rights is a potential fast track to creating problems - Especially if you get the specifics wrong. 3. Lying, in order to attempt to incriminate someone is not acceptable. If you abuse your good will, you will lose support fast among those who know you're doing wrong. This is also a fast track to making the situation worse than it is.
Screw some little pinks and their attempts to violate our human rights in respective nations. RUclips want to join the party of groups being sued for being complicit?
Which all goes out the window if the establishment sides with them instead of us - the policewoman’s first instinct was to appease instead of giving the Chinese a stern talking to. We are seen as weak and that’s why these foreigners are emboldened to throw their weight around here
@@ThePerpetualStudent It makes more sense in Chinese as a way to call out someone's behavior as being especially shameless. Essentially the Chinese guy is claiming (without a shred of evidence) that the pianist is a pervy old man.
Him touching the flag was just an excuse. He *yelled* at him _"Don't touch her! You're not the same age as her!"_ ... No, he wanted everyone around them to think that he was doing something inappropriate to her. Why? I don't know. Maybe he was hoping that he'd feel embarrassed and he'd leave, but I'm pretty sure the flag had nothing to do with it.

The main problem was that the Chinese people wanted to force things to the pianist by threatening to sue him. If they apologized before politely asking him to blur their faces because they just realized that they could be in trouble if not, I think, the pianist would not mind it.
But this is a live stream - it's too late to blur their faces. The video is being broadcast live and has already gone out before the man intervenes - he's missed the bus and even if Brendan blurred their faces on the subsequently edited and uploaded video, RECORDING there will still be the pre-existing unblurred video in the PUBLIC DOMAIN from the original live stream. If the Chinese people don't like that they should walk away out of shot of Brendan's camera, and do their filming where other people can't film them doing their own filming. They chose to film in a public area so they accept the possibility that they may be filmed by other people. If they don't like it, a person with COMMON SENSE would go somewhere else and do their filming in a private place. In this Country we are allowed to speak TRUTH to POWER, and even if the POWER doesn't like it, they have to listen to what we say. We CANNOT be silenced or censored. As UK citizens in the UK, that is our fundamental birth and human right.
Legit. Instead it's now a incident that's spread like wildfire across the internet
If you had watched the video and paid attention, you'd know that they did ask politely at first. It was the "pianist" who started with the attitude. @@ian-flanaganand I do think judging people by whether or not they are wearing expensive designer goods is more of an Asian trait than a European trait.
This is a very clear, step by step explanation of what happened and how it escalated. First the Chinese were happy to wait their turn. Then they read the non-disclosure papers and realised that whether they waited or not, they had to get this guy to remove his cameras before they started using the piano. They couldn't have their New Year greeting on behalf of the Chinese company broadcast on Facebook, but they wanted to use that piano (they brought a pianist). The women ask politely, but when that doesn't work, this Mr. Leng just loses it trying to be 'wolf warrior'. It all makes sense now how this unfolded and got out of control, going from polite handshakes to screaming in just a few minutes. The irony, of course, is that their efforts to keep their faces off the internet have gotten them millions of views!
They didn't ask to use the piano, though - their focus was on making sure that faces were not shown. They'd already stood in front of the camera, as part of a livestream.
You've missed my point entirely. They were happy to stand in front of the camera at first because they weren't breaking the rules yet. They wanted the cameras turned off so they wouldn't be recorded using the piano for commercial purposes without a permit. They didn't ask to use the piano becuase the cameras were still on. Those little yellow pieces of paper they just read were a warning from their employer not to get caught using the piano to make is commercial without a permit. Only when they read that paper did they realize they had to get rid of other people's cameras before they could do what they came for.@@wessexdruid7598

Not sure if it's a majority view, and I haven't looked for it on Weibo, but I have at least seen multiple articles complaining about these guys making Chinese people look bad.
it appears once the lady in the gray coat produced the NDA, everyone that had been friendly with the pianist realized they had made a big mistake and tried to undo it by making an even bigger mistake.
The whole issue was how RUDE that guy was. The girl really didn't do anything. The chinese guy SHOULD have appologized and it would have been over but no. It's obvious.
These are tests to see how far they can go. They’re accustomed to having their every move watched via cameras. This had nothing to do with safeguarding their images. At any time, they could’ve WALKED AWAY!
All that yapping when they just needed to say ‘could you blur our faces, we’re filming something we’re not allowed to talk about due to a ND’. It’s not illegal to talk about there being a ND 🤦🏽♂️. I’d be embarrassed af if a high profile delegate from my country had the communication skills of a toddler.
This young lady is absolutely bang on. I have read many books from Chinese people, and I have been to China. I know that right now the CCP is cracking down on the people. For example in the Cultural Revolution there were many abuses of educated people in China, and many were (disappeared) and sent to jail. Many died as well, and the outside world were kept in the dark about these terrible things that were happening. Then gradually people started to gain more and more freedom. For example in the Three Self Church, people were free to meet in church every Sunday as long as they submitted their sermon to the censor. They knew what they could and could not have in their message, so most were approved. Then in the last 5 years or so, the party started to crack down again. If you go to China you will find that it is no longer legal for children to go to church, except for a few show church gathering for photo ops. Thank you young lady for being on the right side of history. You are a Chinese hero.
Well done to the cameraman maintaining focus on Brendan. Brendan is the prime subject of the video, anyone walking into frame is incidental. Therefore, surely the video can't even be deemed as an invasion of someone else's privacy.
@@Sam-py8ic It's completely true. Any member of the public has the right and freedom to film, photo anyone, and anything that they can see, from a public place. Except, for a few exceptions, where a right to privacy would be expected. Such as, your garden, within your house, or deliberately follow someone for a period of time (as you may be just walking down the same street for a short time, they or you may turn different directions). No member of the public can demand that you stop, see or delete your imagery. Not even the police have the power, unless a crime has been committed. People can politely ask if you could delete X or Y, but in the end, it's completely your choice.
@@DJKav actually you Can demand for securing the images. Clarifying your misconception. The DEFINITE case is upon Definite private Premises. But Public cases means LEEWAY. Means it Could be Rightfully Demanded for, Or not. NOT a DEFINITE Yes Yes to imagery...but a Yes / No....pending situation. But a linkage, or Relationship Is Definitely Established. And Subsequence, be it through legal proceedings or otherwise. Just as you can expect public figures to get paparazi, but Not otherwise. Not for No Reason :) That's where you can take his picture, get a private eye, and lawyers to proceed. Or Otherwise.
As someone who has dealt with non disclosures for over 5 years, non disclosures only apply to those people who signed the NDA and if they are in a public place that requires secrecy via filming, usually it is up to the company to block off that area (usually by renting that part of the venue to film whatever the station was filming while providing or hiring people to redirect from the filming section). Even though those individuals had an nda, it does not involve the innocent pianists and the pianists was in the right. They had no right to demand or force him to take it down.
15:16 Newton Leung was not being judged or looked down upon. Brendan was just asking him a simple Yes/No question, because Newton was holding a communist party flag. There was no judgement.
I reckon they wanted to muscle in and get rid of Dr K so they could film the Chinese TV anchor's son playing the piano for their own video. All they had to do was ask Dr K politely in a friendly manner and 'm certain he would have given them the stage for the time they wanted. The Chinese group's behavior was disgraceful, but also gob-smackingly entertaining. Thank goodness they were powerless.
Another great explanation of a situation I never would be able to understand. Thanks for being so clear and breaking down the different parts of this video. I really enjoy your videos.
This was just a long, drawn-out explanation of why the CCP reps were wrong. Very simple, they're Not in China. There rights in China mean nothing in another country. In other countries, the foreigner is a Visitor and must respect the laws/rights of That country. Its not the other way around.
Thank you for posting this video and providing your analysis. How hypocritical those people were on the one hand quite friendly some time beforehand and then aggressive later on. All of them need reacquaint themselves with British common law.
Thank you for clarifying. This was very interesting. It sounds to me. There was a few errors and misunderstandings. A clash of cultures. It was not necessarily intentional the offence that was taken or given.
CONFRONTATIONAL COMBATIVE. So that is what they do in South China Sea. They attack Filipino ships in a territory they conjured as their territory, which definitely not what they signed as co-signatory years ago in the UNCLOS law. They have been aggressive towards SEA countries. I hope the world focus on this and condemn aggressive behaviour and their withdrawal of claim of virtually the the whole South China Sea.
I live in the US and hold both American and German citizenship. I was also married to an extremely bright Chinese woman whom I met just after she graduated from an American University. My experience with her, her family and many Chinese I met was that most Chinese are rampant Nationalists, even exceeding the American (so called) patriotism. Any discussion that was even remotely critical of China, her social structure, economy, internal- and/or external politics lead to stark, factually wrong and downright hostile responses. I believe this played a big part in the confrontation here. They all and in particular Newton, the man with the orange scarf became livid when Kavanaugh stated that Britain is a free country (unlike communist China).
So in summary the guy from Financial Times using a fake name of Newton Leng is just an ass hole. If he started to yell fake accusations of 'Don't touch her' when Brendan clearly never tried to touch anyone, in the US, it likely would have gone very differently. Yelling a false accusation like that in public is called disorderly conduct in the US and it's illegal. In California specifically it 'It's governed by California penal code, section 647. Disorderly conduct is a crime that involves public activity or behavior that's offensive or disruptive, and interrupts other people's ability to enjoy a public space.' The CCP 'shouty' guy going by the fake name Newton Leng is a disgrace to Financial Times.
Is he a reporter who has ties to the CCP? You know there is a profession that uses 'reporter/media' as a cover for being inquisitive while visiting in foreign countries? 🕵️
Basically the rule is if you want that kind of privacy in a public place yo0u need to get permission from the center management of any mall train station etc before you personally lay down the law in another country. Simple solution.
No. If you contact directly to the person making the recording, you can request to have your image removed. You would ask the shopping centre if you want your image to be removed from their security and people tracking systems.... which interestingly I'm not sure they are able to do. So they skirt this legal requirement by making the "data" untraceable back to the individual by anyone accessing the database, like by hashing it
@codexnecro666: A problem with that approach is that it was live-streamed, and any viewer can record it. The creator can post a notice to have the copies deleted, but can't actually enforce the removal.
This is absolutely Brilliant . Shouty man and STOP TOUCHING HER!!!!! DONT TOUCH HER!!!!!! we will never forget this moment in time. Thankyou Mr shouty man for giving us such entertainment .As shouty man said your not her age, If he was her own age would it have been alright to touch her flag just asking !!!!!
A Chinese woman walks into a barbershop 💈 Newton Leng’s assistant: “-So..what are we doing ✂️ today madam?” Manager newton Leng: “- DON’T touch HER! She is NOT your age!!”
I still fail to understand when he touched her (he didn't it was livestream) and what AGE has to do with anyone touching anyone? In fact, he touched her and she touched him willingly with a handshake before the confrontation. Newton Leng was behind them and saw this touch. Why wasn't he screaming at the top of his lungs at Dr. K when their hands touched? It didn't suit his narrative at the time to try and created a scene where Dr. K appeared to be doing something he shouldn't. Trying to say Dr. K did something wrong when he didn't clearly shows Newton was lying in an attempt to call police and try to say Dr. K in trouble with the law. If Dr. K didn't have his camera on the entire time it would been difficult for DR K to defend himself against the Little Pinks making such a claim. The Law wasn't on the Little Pink's side for privacy so they tried bringing race and inappropriate touching into the mix to push that law issue onto Dr. K when all else failed. I feel this concept of flag protection was a side note and while I agree with Ally that the Little Pinks were brainwashed on this flag issue, nothing Dr. K did to the flag warranted that kind of response. Dr. K simply touching the flag is not the same as grabbing it out of her hand and stomping on it. Dr. K also tried to explain to Newton Leng when in Rome do as the Romans do. Newton acted as if he didn't understand the meaning of this saying but it would be more surprising if he didn't. He didn't ask Dr. K what that meant. He only asked him if he ws Roman so Newton knew at that point Dr K was telling him this is the UK and you need to follow local laws. Newton was losing the battle and continued to fight a losing battle. Dr. K gave them a lesson in what happens when the wrong kind of deplomacy is used. The Little Pinks just need to apologize instead of trying SO hard to justify their pitiful actions. If they had done so this would have ended long ago.

Newton has brought great shame to the CCP. He mismanaged this situation and has given away two important techniques. Firstly, the piano was to be the centre of a “live” global TV event for the Chinese New Year. If filmed beforehand and available on RUclips this would reveal this as a deception - hence their request not to be filmed for a wider audience. He should have pulled them out at that point but instead brought huge attention to them. Secondly, it shows a body technique about smiling to disarm the other party. This too has been revealed. Newton needs to understand that live-streaming is live and so no censorship could be actioned. Now he is known to millions, as are the others, and discredited both himself and the Party.
Newton brings shame to the Chinese people. We know Brendan is a musician. He may joke around but with kind-hearted intentions. If the CPP party is good and not authoritarian, then there is no need to deny it. If Newton really feels proud of CPP party, then he can explain the benefit that the CPP party has brought to the country. Acting hostile is a sure way to show CPP party is authoritarian.

Ally, I listened closely to your explanation of why that incident occurred. I'm British btw. Everything you mentioned is useful to know. However, what these Chinese people seem to have forgotten is that they aren't in China. That the world recognises that China has a human rights record as bad as any country on the planet. Screaming at people like one of Mao's little red guards is not how people conduct themselves in civilised countries. Our culture in the UK is very different from that in China and that screaming man child needs to remember that. If the Chinese flag is made of anyone's blood, it's that of all the Tibetans that it's murdered and tortured since 1950, as well as all the ethnic minorities that it's now torturing by the million in its concentration camps. All these petty party officials and all the little secret policemen recently exposed, ought to go back to China and create change, before trying to export the false realities it tries to create to hide the evil it does. The types of diplomacy you speak of have been well documented in the British media since the inception of the peoples republic. I choose to use lower caps when discussing the CCP because it is completely without honour.
No country has a worse human rights record than Britain. None even come close. How about you go to your museum and give back all that the the UK stole?

This is sad on various levels. If they were hoping to promote Chinese culture, then I think they did more harm than good. Over 8 million viewers worldwide have seen this, and the vast majority are not impressed. Far better to win friends than start an argument.

Not for No Reason :)
That's where you can take his picture, get a private eye, and lawyers to proceed. Or Otherwise.
This was a really great, balanced and informative breakdown. Well done!
This is probably the most insightful and informative video I’ve seen regarding this whole incident so far.
Agreed
As someone who has dealt with non disclosures for over 5 years, non disclosures only apply to those people who signed the NDA and if they are in a public place that requires secrecy via filming, usually it is up to the company to block off that area (usually by renting that part of the venue to film whatever the station was filming while providing or hiring people to redirect from the filming section). Even though those individuals had an nda, it does not involve the innocent pianists and the pianists was in the right. They had no right to demand or force him to take it down.
The funniest thing is that station is bloody huge. So why didn’t they just film in secret at the other end of the station?
That was about the best explanation of Brendan’s video I have seen so far. Thank you, Ally, for enlightening all of us. 😉
👍
👍
Thank you for posting this video and providing your analysis. How hypocritical those people were on the one hand quite friendly some time beforehand and then aggressive later on. All of them need reacquaint themselves with British common law.
... and with intercultural, international common sense.
Any foreigner visiting a country that is not theirs must respect the rules and customs of the country they visit.
Chinese definitely don't follow that rule!!
White ppl don't follow that either.
This goes double for Arab Muslims who tell women to cover up in western countries like Sweden or Canada.
Go to china get arrested, go to anywhere in the civilized world and you are free for being you. Got it.
*colonisation*
Thank you for clarifying. This was very interesting. It sounds to me. There was a few errors and misunderstandings. A clash of cultures. It was not necessarily intentional the offence that was taken or given.
Who expected a fight over Elton John's piano would start WWIII? 😂😂
"Saturday night's alright for fightin'. Get a little action in."
He did sing a song called Rocket Man.
Is that actually Elton John's piano?
@@lionelhutz5137
It was donated to the station by Sir Elton, yes.
Brendan was a bit slow in realising they were not the Japanese TV crew, but aside from that he was pretty reasonable.
Yeah, he's kinda braindead. He talked to them, they told him they're Chinese, they have Chinese flags, and he still thinks they're Japanese.
To be fair, all asians look the same.
Simple solution.
even then, there will always be a fly on the wall
bro the fly on your pfp is so realistic
No. If you contact directly to the person making the recording, you can request to have your image removed. You would ask the shopping centre if you want your image to be removed from their security and people tracking systems.... which interestingly I'm not sure they are able to do. So they skirt this legal requirement by making the "data" untraceable back to the individual by anyone accessing the database, like by hashing it
imagine having to be so senditive about everything to maintain your score
@codexnecro666: A problem with that approach is that it was live-streamed, and any viewer can record it. The creator can post a notice to have the copies deleted, but can't actually enforce the removal.
This is absolutely Brilliant . Shouty man and STOP TOUCHING HER!!!!! DONT TOUCH HER!!!!!! we will never forget this moment in time. Thankyou Mr shouty man for giving us such entertainment .As shouty man said your not her age, If he was her own age would it have been alright to touch her flag just asking !!!!!
🤣
Thank you Ally for the clear explanation of the incident. Greetings from Switzerland.
A Chinese woman walks into a barbershop 💈
Newton Leng’s assistant: “-So..what are we doing ✂️ today madam?”
Manager newton Leng: “- DON’T touch HER! She is NOT your age!!”
Haha...😂

I don't know who is more shameful
UK or CCP
Newton brings shame to the Chinese people. We know Brendan is a musician. He may joke around but with kind-hearted intentions. If the CPP party is good and not authoritarian, then there is no need to deny it. If Newton really feels proud of CPP party, then he can explain the benefit that the CPP party has brought to the country. Acting hostile is a sure way to show CPP party is authoritarian.
They never said they worked for CCP, why are you assuming like that Racist Conman Brendon?
Communism has no credibility outside of a perfect world fantasy.
You can see it like that ;-)) and is therefore more of a reason to be grateful ;-)).
Thank you. Most of our Westerners just stunned by these Chinese/communists behavior in UK. I'd say it is nothing new to Hong Kong, Taiwan and/or south east Asia and perhaps, quite commonly occurs every day/week there. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.

@@peter-pg5yc Friends from Hong Kong and Taiwan told me that they weren't surprised/stunned by these "little pink": nick name of Chinese communists. They told me they have experienced/witnessed these types of rudeness incidents. And awareness
How about you go to your museum and give back all that the the UK stole?
absolutely right sir.
Let's face it the British govt is not any better with it's track record of colonisation and genocides it has committed and it is committing at present including what is happening in Gaza today. Yes, the British people do have a different culture, but that is where it ends.
@@plum_locois ridiculous. Not just the Anti-Semitic, Hamas sympathetising nonsense, but also comparing what happened nearly a century ago or more to what the current CCP is doing.
You talk of british govt and refere to colonisation and genocides.... that was the time where everyone invaded everyone else and was under the leadership of royalty. The current govt, lets face it couldnt colonise a paper bag in its current condition. What has Gaza got anything to do with it? Hamas has been classed as a terrorist organisation by the EU and UK and USA, we have no power or right to do anything else in the conflict than call for death on both sides of the conflict to sease. @@plum_loco
