What elbow grease? 😂 She's great at it, but literally anyone could clean this place, I'm just glad that I don't have to. I have been inspired by to try some new cleaning products, though!
So sorry you’re in this situation.. You are doing amazing.. your slum landlord is literally that.. I’m so glad you’re keeping receipts AND these videos x
I wish I’d found a channel like this years ago. I’ve just moved out of a flat that had black mould in every room. I might have coped better with trying to clean it if I’d known someone like you was dealing with the exact same problems. Sending strength!
How did you learn how to take things apart and reassemble? Im useless at that. Im so sorry to see you have to do this. 5 days notice is nasty. Plus, all these supplies must be costing you a fortune. If i lived closer, id ask to help you. Im a 40 year old, married, mumma bear of 3, no weirdness about me, i just wish you had more help. You're doing amazingly.
Most simple things like vent covers and fans are just held together by g screws. If it’s something I think I might mess up, my favorite thing to do is take a video as I’m taking it apart so I can see exactly how to put it back together
My god I hope your landlord gets piece of his own medicine As someone that just moved out of a vile place (nothing as bad as this though) I admire you, my chronic pain stopped me being able to save my living space although we shouldn’t have too
I’m going the same problems here. I just moved into this apartment and at first it looked like it just needed a few cleaning. But realized it’s much worse. My flatmate has also given me notice. So I must try to make the apartment look good for someone to want to move in. I look forward to watching more of your videos. And I hope you will give more details on the type of product you use and the cleaning process in general. Thank you very much. You are an inspiration 😊
Oxford a few years ago was just as bad. Lived in a flat that had once flooded and fought forever with the letting agency for someone to come and check the toilet sink. It had been leaking so bad the whole floor was a mouldy mess under the vinyl flooring 🙈 amazing work and keep up the cleaning progress ❤
How on Earth is someone legally able to rent a place that is in that kind of shape? Every apartment I've ever moved into was cleaned before I moved in. This looks like they didn't even do a basic or rudimentary cleaning before they rented it to you! Now as for the rest of it, the broken floors, etcetera, landlords do leave a lot of that crap and don't bother. You're doing an amazing job of cleaning and refreshing everything. That landlord should give you free rent for a year for everything you've done.
I own a flat in Prague and renting it. But let me tell you, I would NEVER EVER put for a rent such a dirty place. I paid profesional cleaning company to deep clean the flat after every tenant so the new one have clean and safe place. It cost one month rent but stil worth it, since it also help keep the overal market price of the flat. I also pay for new furniture, washing machine, refrigenator when needed.
In Australia, it's a rule that the outgoing tenant pays for a home to be professionally deep-cleaned. Pretty sure that is supposed to happen in London too.
very satisfying to watch! I wish you nothing but the best and I hope in the end everything turns out alright and you are compensated for God's work you are doing in that apartment!
I can really sympathize with your situation. When I moved into my first shared apartment, it turned out that my roommates were unaware of or didn't care about the massive food moth infestation in the kitchen. They got into pretty much anything they could get into. It disgusted me so terribly that I eventually snapped. I deep-cleaned the entire kitchen and threw out all the contaminated food, even what didn't belong to me, because it literally had maggots, webs and or moth poop in it. I told them about the infestation and they did nothing about it, and I refused to live like that a moment longer. I moved furniture and cleaned underneath and behind, which had clearly not been done in years, there were dead moths, maggots and broken glass under there. When it was done, I set up moth traps. This experience permanently affected me. I hate bug infestations in my food so much now, that after all that happened, I started collecting glass jars with proper seals (like empty honey jars) and putting literally anything a bug would want to eat into them for storage immediately after purchasing. Not only so they can't get in, but also because moths often enter the home through purchasing contaminated food, especially dried fruits or grains. They are absolutely capable of eating through paper, thin plastic or even metal packaging, so even unopened packages can be affected. Isolating products in glass jars prevents them from spreading to other products and makes it easy to spot them. Haven't seen a single moth in my kitchen in over 10 years. No regrets.
@@GeeEee75 In the country and climate I live in, it‘s actually extremely common for people to regularly have minor food moth or textile moth problems. They often don’t even realize they have them. It‘s letting it get this out of control that is unusual.
Do you have a dehumidifier? It would pull a lot of the moisture out of the air and hopefully keep what you've cleaned from growing the black mold again.
Check if you need to replace the sink’s faucet or if it’s just mineral buildup! If you take it off and soak, does it get easier to turn the knobs/handles? And w the water pressure issue, u may need to backflush it
Your landlord needs to see this video. Maybe since that kitchen faucet isn’t tight he’ll agree to get one that you can use, since you’ve made the place so nice?
I hope you can monetise the videos of this journey, cleaning products are NOT cheap over here. Or hopefully even get a scrub daddy sponsor. You deserve something to go your way
I hope he has to pay you back every penny when you take him to court... assuming you're going the legal route. What an ar*ehole! You're doing sick a good job... also you're making me want to buy all the products so they should sponsor you!
You have rights and rather than improve the condition of a property that you do not own and are renting you should be recording the condition and taking legal action against your landlord, and if your friend signed a lease with you then you're jointly liable, so that whole "my friend gave me 5 days notice is rubbish. The whole set up of this account feels like clickbait BS.
I'm a 47 year old American and I am fascinated with your cleaning skills. Subscribing to see what you clean next.

it's a disgrace the way they let these properties, preying on desperation, knowing someone will take it no matter what

Hi from NZ. Ya poor thing. I hate scammy landlords. Hope your next flatmate situation is sorted, quick as.
Sorry you're in a horrible situation, but you are doing great dude! You should truly be proud of yourself ❤
It might just be oil buildup actually! If it hasn’t been cleaned in years or if they fry a lot of food, it can be quite gross.
My god I hope your landlord gets piece of his own medicine

Girl the fact you are still joking and laughing through the pain…. LOVE IT!!😂😂😂
Lovely mix of neutral colors. You do very good work and should be proud.

Get the uni bond air 360 moisture dehumidifier...they work brilliantly for the damp smell and collecting excess water from the humidity xx
You’re honestly doing an amazing job
Wow you did so well congrats ❤
How are u such a queen!!??? I could have never done all pf that! Respekt!

I'm exhausted just watching you 😂 but for real, congratulations on a job well done! Hopefully you can get justice when it comes to the landlord. 💝

How did you get rid of the mold? I have complained to the manager about it and they done nothing.
The tar is not from Marijana. It's from cigarettes. Weed doesn't really leave that behind, at least from my experience.
What cleaning products are you using?
Why you don't have long videos? I want to see all the work you've done.

Wait how to you stick the tiles back on the wall??? Ive 2 that are just about ready to fall any minute and don't know how to fix it
Call the housing disrepair helpline, you can claim money if your landlord has made you pay for repairs and black moukd removal
