This is the absolute greatest version of Children. This band is amazing. Killer lead trumpet and soloist, sax section, trumpet section, bones and rhythm section. Special shout to the piano man. Wow, the things that you do with counter melodies are just incredible.

amazing,this is magic transformed to music ..the syncopation part on the brass is amazing. i heard this the first time, some years ago, performed by a band from Norway,directed by Helge Haukas..on their visit to Mellieha,Malta..it was a breath of fresh air.AWGURI
I have to say, this is the best rendition of this masterpiece ive heard since I heard Swansea's Constellation Big Band play it in a 1990 tour in Germany. My late father was the drummer, and I have to say, this drummer comes very close. Really good!! My dad was a professional drummer from the age of 14. He always told me, a good drummer drives the band, and in this video, the drummer did just that. If I closed my eyes, I was back in Germany. Thank you ❤
Well, He has to make an instant decision on whether the trumpet player could make it to the double B natural, which he could not at that instant hit. It depends on what you did the day before. It's worth the shot, but it doesn't always play out. You have to be ready to end it sooner than later. Perfect job of that.

They're all great, but I believe the lead guy could have been louder and more aggressive, especially when he switches over to trumpet. At one point the sax section drowned him out, couldn't hear him at all. The remainder of the trumpet section really BELTED it out there with NO reservations.
Unbeliavably good, perfect. Only thing that drummer at the very beginning fall-out from the scrypt a bit, but perfect intonation and accents at the rest of the song. But I like his style and rest is GREAT!!!
The lead trumpet has so much skill. Very clean high notes and great control. Solo flugelhorn also did a great job

Sadly the recording is quite bad. I`ve heard the piece in person and it sounds absolutly amazing.
