If you do not fix Clifford, Beyonce will NEVER call!
Awesome troubleshooting.
I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR BEYONCE!

Honestly, my son woke me up at 4 am, now its 11, and I had to put my phone down to charge bc that whole time I got stuck watching your videos of everything you fixed, dude, your awesome, your living the dream I wish I could, and I been tired of watching wd treating all of those sexy ass trucks up, like they are nothing, u actually buy to fix and make them better, dont stop the videos, they are awesome.
I love this channel. You are simply an entertaining man. And you're exceptionally knowledgeable at a young age. I haven't really been into the larger machine engines and such. I've stuck to smaller engines and outboard motors, but this channel makes me want to buy something heavy, tear it apart, and put it back together.
A dodge with a Transmission issue. I know completely unheard of ;P
Hey boss yah ever wanna upgrade to a basically a work trucks trans good for towing and putting in work unless your doing it yourself id recommend muldoons diesel perfromance
You have one other big problem with cliff,...............
It’s not a Ford or a Ranger.
Upgrade to the AISIN
@@druffner3074 thats what the truck has.
@S&M Landscapes thats right.
As a retired automotive tech-rep I can't count the number of times that scenario played out; there's actually a name for it - "stacked variables". I enjoy your videos.
And its always that one little dumb thing that's wrong in the end.t
Never give up on what you’re doing. You look like you’re having so much fun and loving life, love the videos
“So, let’s expertly catalogue that right there, so I can forget about it in 15 minutes” EVERY time fella, so true.
Summary of my memory.
"Them are sillinoids..." You're my big, raunchy hero, Westen. May Beyonce sit upon thy face, one fine day.
“The hair’s full of tranny fluid... transmission fluid.” 💀😂 I love how you felt the need to make that clear in 2019 🤣
Gender neutral shift juice 🙄

Keep publishing these comedies … they're great lighthearted humor at a time when it's sorely needed !!!
I can honestly say that it's always funny that the mechanic's truck is the one that has the most codes, LOL but it's always interesting to me to see the thought process behind analyzing the problem and what to fix.
My Southern Heritage keeps me coming back for more every time I Tune In, I feel like I'm down home on the front porch there in Burkesville Kentucky, and I know you're a long way from Kentucky, but you got a quick wit an honest demeanor, and an all-around genuinely good vibe about you that's absolutely fantastic,as you are a genuine soul and there's no hiding it.. God bless you and yours Weston, thank you for sharing your videos with us.
Strong comment there. I feel the same way. Funny thing is I live in Southern California, have all my life. I know nothing about the " country" life, however when I watch Weston all I can feel is what a good person, and roll model he is. I wish people around here would act more like you.
Outstanding Wes. Way to hang in there for the fix. I know how frustrating mechanical crap can be!
"Lets expertly catalog that right there, so i can forget about it in 15 mins" Sounds about right lmao!
Great job in tracking down the problem and fixing it.
Had the same identical issue with an '06 Ram PU on a road trip between Birmingham and Montgomery AL where tranny would not shift properly. It was hot so I left the engine running while waiting for a tow, with the a/c on for my dogs and daughter who were accompanying. Once at the shop the mechanic turned the engine off. Afterwards he tried for 2 days to duplicate the problem but couldn't. He told me all he did was tap on the wiring harness at the transmission. He did not charge me any money, I had AAA who paid the tow. And I completed my trip and drove the truck 2 more years without incidence before I got a new ride. Dodge is famous for weird tranny issues.
I've been in these situations like this where i fix something i didn't need to because of bad wiring as well...! Who knew the wiring would of been broken inside the loom... Sad part is the solenoid was probably fine to begin with... Frustration..! I admire your persistence, and its very motivating to watch your videos! Great Job!
Love all the videos man !!!!! Keep it up!!!!! Learning alot from each video. Thank you
Keep the videos coming bud, you have a great personality for youtube.. even the stuff that really ain't interesting, you find a way and make it a good watch lol. Thanks man, keep up the good work!
Hey Westen good to see Clifford back on the job and at least the bench won't rust . Hat
I’ll tell you like an old man told me...”never buy an automatic dodge Cummins...ever” that’s the best advice I have ever been given!
I didn't have any doubts that you'll not be able to fix it👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 great work and satisfying result good job big man👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Dude you need to open up a repair shop.
You are a very smart man....
.well done brother
Trent Robey: he knows a lot of stuff and he is only 21
Pretty sure he doesn't need to he makes plenty of money now
Cool. Good job fixing Clifford. Much needed piece of equipment.
I'm more impressed that those plastic ramps held up that truck. I've had them collapse on me. Nice job on the fix
Man your content is Must See Immediately!!! Keep it coming!!! 😉
great job brother , love all your videos, learn a lot from your channels.. God bless from down under, Australia
Hell ya I’m loving this channel so far !! Keep up the cool content man !

@@CautiousDavid Thank you for this , my man !
You very well may be the only person on RUclips in the comments section to have a brain ! & this was a freaking year ago !
Mad respect to ya , brother . Mad respect
Remember to check all Dodges in Neutral when refill. Also put on an external ground on the transmission to frame cleaned everything up for a good connection.
i know this is an older video but i found it after watching your last series on the Ram you were painting, or trying to paint :). I am going to throw out a kudo's to you for finding and repairing the transmission in this Ram. I ran a service department for a Dodge/Chrysler/jeep store for 20 years. I hate to admit it, but I've had -A- line techs that would condemn that transmission before they found the wiring issue. Good work on your part. I enjoy your vidoes
I found your channel recently love all your videos keep up the good work👍👍👍👍👍👍👌
Thats the correct way. Doesent exist bad cars, exists bad owners and lazy changig parts mechanichs. Weston, you are a true mechanic excellent diagnosis and repair
Its cool how its broken in the beginning of the video and then fixed by the end of the video always good job 👏🏻
way to go sometimes an easy fix is not easy glad you found those bad wires keep these great videos coming
Western, it flooded, rained, and tornado have been here in Oklahoma as well. Glad you and you family didn’t get blown away or flooded
I'm in Western Oklahoma, more rain tonight.
Love your sense of humor man, and as always loved the video.
I know I'm watching an old video this is September 24th where you been missing your videos you're my favorite channel to watch keep them coming please hope you're doing okay Rick from Lancaster California
Westen, if I could tell you now in 2 years ago, you have such a successful, amazing life ahead of you
You know what these videos are very educational,,,,Really!!!!!! Love them👍👍👍👍
I do enjoy watching you figure out the problems
Oh man I feel ya. That feeling when its finally fixed after all that work!
Good job and thank you for teaching us what you know about pickup
I have no idea why but I can't stop watching your videos. 😁
Well, now I need a nap watching all that work. I like your videos, and being a Ram owner I have watched more than I care to say.
My Ram 3500 went into limp mode and I threw a couple of Viagra down the dipstick tube and the input shaft grew 3 inches longer and now it works like it has a shift kit in it.
I must not have been paying attention!! I didn’t not realize before this video u were a Kansan lol!! That’s pretty damn cool since to me since I live in Missouri glad you figured out the problem
Great video...thanks for sharing your repair work.
Looking forward to the Fummins! Great videos!! 😎 Hello from Mexico👍🚜
Shaman Baray igual otro mexicano aquí
Great video's Wes. Had a similar problem with my Chevy. Boiled down some wires going into the trans. Somebody cut and tried to repair the wires. No waterproofing. Idiots, we live in a state that uses salt on the roads.
Love the vids keep up the great work!
Here is some good advice. ALWAYS ALWAYS use crimp connectors , solder the connector and most importantly use heat shrink. Road crap will find it's way in
I worked in a fleet maintenance shop and that was my standard for trailer electrical repair. I was based in Kansas and your DOT road crews love to use salt in the winters!!!! Salt will mess up the wiring in a second.. great video! Keep them coming!
U should scan again and see if it also fixed the fluid temp issue as well ! Otherwise great job 👍👍
Tell the truth! You called in the big gun your two k9 tech for support lol glad to see you got Clifford up and running great content
You have a great additude love watching you dealing with issues that would make the average person jump off a cliff, with a laugh and a smile and oh well just fix it great paint job to bad it the wrong shade, but you still find away to look at the bright side amazing love it keep up the good work .
You deserve a award working on dodge's lol na there all junk
Thanks for sharing your diagnostic process. I would have measured the resistance of the solenoid and measured current with a low amp probe on a dvom or labscope before teardown.
well time to put an allision in Clifford.
Trent Nelson like the ones used in tow trucks?
Joseph Samsor, no... that’s an Aisin transmission.
John H my dad’s Mitsubishi fuso and f650 with the 5.9 both have Allisons. Maybe the newer ones use Aisin idk.
I’ve been wanting to do that so bad! How hard is it to put it in to a Dodge With the 5.9?
MJF Diecast look up some forums for good info. Maybe look into the swap kits or what you can piece together from oem parts.
About time somebody showed a good video that was cool as hell
"I hate transmissions" a man after my heart. I wish I wasn't so lazy and could force myself to drive manuals.
love you channel super funny good cense of humor keep up the great work!
Great video Westen!!! Love seeing the updates and I can’t wait to see the Cummins swap in the ford! I do have one question... could you please tell me who makes your scan tool and are you happy with it? Thank you- Dan
This man has a spare of everything
Do you know what I like about you Weston you my son are a mechanic they are few and far between garages these days only employ fitters and screw the backside out of people's wallets always a pleasure to watch a mechanic at work
Pronounced "Sillinoid".... but spelled "solenoid".... only in the midwest. Totally looking forward to the FUMMINS!!!
Yep. They also "warsh" their cars. I used to live in SW Kansas. Great people there!
Subscribed, I went through transmission issues on a smaller car. Valve body swap on my garage floor, eventually swapping the whole trans. Like the detail.
Shout out to Westen from ohio! Awesome videos been watching since the beginning! Nothing to it just to do it!
LoL, A Dodge Transmission marking it's territory! Glad I stumbled across your channel. Very informative and lots of fun!
I was just hoping for another video!
When spendy transmissions like this mess up, I do a shake test on wiring. Shake it hard will running and up on block and transmission.. If nothing changes, drop pan and pull solenoids and diagnose them ( check shift solenoids and see if with range. lastly, check grounds and pressure regulators. Then your on your own
Your videos crack me up man, subscribed!
Westen. Get you a vegetable prep table/ sink out of a restaurant. All stainless steel. ( I used to work for Dodge. In 1998) when we would rebuild/ fix transmissions the 8ft table sloped ever so slightly to a made in it sink. All oil went to the drain ( and a 5 Gallon bucket under it) . The table had 4" rolled stainless steel sides all around to keep parts rounded up.
Just started watching you this past week, and I gotta say, I enjoy your videos, so I hit that sub button. Looking forward to see what's in store for the fummins!
Ol Bowser is your inspector...he's checkin to see you're doing it right.
Love your vids keep up the good work
Nice follow through on the diagnostics , well done !!!! :-)
All your videos are great.
Wes, you are “The Man!”
I like your U2 on U2 you guys are good people you work hard and make the truck run good keep on rocking your a nice person and your friends are nice in your paper Brothers holding the camera he's a good quiet one for you guys to do a good job thank you keep on rocking I walk to you I watch you on RUclips how you remember that truck how you got it back to normal you're a smart guy a nice gentleman my name is John. Thank you Westen
Nice job on Clifford, dodge wiring is always a problem that why I got rid of mine!!!!
Never knew when beyonce might call wanting to go for a ride can't have any downtime
Well hells bell Fix-It Weston shit fire Stan you are the man with magic wand in hand, and a quick wit with an Alakazam...yeah so in other words you're a pretty good mechanic..
Love your enthusiasm keep these videos Cummin!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just subscribed. This channel is awesome you are super funny and knowledgable. Keep it up, man.
holy cow, your channel blown up quickly grats man
Great vid! Looks like a right pita job!
Keep it up Wes and keep those ghost trailer mirrors all the way out.
That's probably why it died. Tired of looking like a moose.
Hey man I saw you and Clifford when you were hauling back the big ford with the donor Cummins. My second gen has had some issues recently too, great trucks but damnit dodge just build us a decent automatic. Haha side note, actually found your channel about a week after I saw you. Thought that was a funny coincidence
Good work hunting down the cause of the issue. However, I think you could've used shrink tubing on those wires. It lasts longer and is more resistant to moisture leaking in.
Great videos! Loving it up here in Canada. I just subscribed.
I learn alot from watching your video
Another vid! Been waiting
Westen, don't ya just love it, when a plan comes together?? Another great opening and love how you teach us. Keep em coming!! Love the dog trying to help, ha ha ha.
Hey, you need to have a show and introduce those helpers of yours, and that includes Garrett. That would be too cool. Love ya.
Hey westen your videos are awesome
Good job on Clifford, patience pays!!!! Also, good attitude. :>)
I agree.... transmission's suck!!!! But thankfully you are not replacing it at all n it was time effort n learning that got ya going versus the $$$$$ of a new one 😁😎
Thanks for filming
I had this same problem with my jeep commander. Try the input, output, and pressure sensor.
The other thing I've have to do is the solenoid pack.
Hope this helps you fix the big red dodge!
