If you are just stabbing the wires into the fuse block you need to splice in a separate fuse holder for the red and the yellow wires, and the appropriate size fuse for each. They sell inline fuse holders at auto parts stores. If you don't fuse those wires and they became damaged and shorted to the car body, they can melt down and potentially cause a fire.

I bought the OBD hardwire kit, very easy to install, but it comes with an electrical switch, with NO instructions on how to set the switch? In 12v, it can be set at 12.4v, 12.0v, or 11.6v, but doesn't say which setting to use or why? Any ideas?

Yes please. Tell what fuses to use. Acc and batt.

I looked at my car manual and looked what fuse is a good one to wire too. But I also used a voltage meter to see clearly which one would work when the truck is in or off.
