  • Man Hasn’t Moved His NECK in 15 YEARS by Dr Joseph Cipriano DC.
He’s had 2 traumas that were the culprit of his inability of neck movement. The first was falling a very tall swing and the second was a heavy container that fell directly on his head! Both accidents severely compressed his spine even forming a severe hyper kyphosis in his thoracic spine! His neck has been crunched up and will not move at all. I had to do some intense chiropractic adjustments and painful soft tissue therapy to help regain motion in his neck and shoulders!

Like this fellow, I do everything I can to get some relief - chiro, RMT, yoga, and osteo. Yes it hurts, but the everyday discomfort outweighs any kind of short-term pain. I can say first hand that when you’re in that kind of pain all the time, you develop a very high pain tolerance. I know exactly how this man feels. I stood up under a truck on a lift and hit the rear differential and compacted my neck really badly like 8 yrs ago. I had a bad experience with a chiropractor being taken there as a child not needing it and developed major back issues soon after that. Using a yoga mat and log I was able to get my C1 to actually release and pop just recently and it was the pop I desperately needed.
After watching this I do believe chiropractic medicine has evolved a ton in 30 yrs.

As a soon to be retired and disabled vet, I can say from the bottom of my heart, neck/back pain is so difficult to deal with because of the depression and social exclusion it can cause. There aren't many things you can do that don't involve your neck or back and the pain is near constant.

I’m someone who is out of place from neck to tailbone and when I saw his condition, my heart hurt bc it must have been so painful for him to live this way for 15 years. The fact that this started for him as a child which is heartbreaking. I’m so glad he found this doc and I hope he continues to receive his care bc I would love to see the follow up videos. I am rooting for this guy. What a sweet demeanor despite all of his pain.
The doc seems like a very nice person too. I wish I could see him but I’ve already had a neck fusion so I don’t think I’d ever be a candidate for anything else although my spine hurts everywhere and I wish I could alleviate the pain in my mid-back and sciatica.

I'm glad they showed this. I feel that sometimes it's taboo to show when you really have to work the patient. Sometimes, it's painful. Sometimes you're just shy of the force necessary, because the muscles fight back.
Trust in a chiropractor like this, and being willing to recognize that it will be rough, is the key to progress.
Sometimes it might take multiple tries at the same move to get it to move. Don't shy away from it. Give your patient what they need.
