Huh, reading vlogs are really nice. I wish I had a friend I could do this back and forth with. I loved how you highlighted and chatted about things that stood out to you. Bride seemed cringy as hell to me, I'm not a werewolf romance person 😄 all its tropes seem awfully creepy, and especially if it's coupled with vampires. But I want to try Emily Henry and maybe I'll try this one.

I was waiting for your review of this!! I loved it and because I don’t read fanfic, I didn’t know there were fanfic tropes in here!!

I don’t know why, but when I first read the “whimper of a buttercream cake” line, it made me so irrationally angry. Like…WHAT DO YOU MEAN??

I was so surprised with how much I actually liked Ali Hazelwood's new book. I usually don't like anything that is considered as smt, & that's basically what her books are. But her new book was a fun easy read. What I do like is Emily Henry's writing. So now I am excited for her upcoming book! Sounds like a fun summer read.

Oh god, omegaverse my beloathed. Very much want to watch your reactions to some of these (I'm so sorry this was how you had to learn about knotting, lol) but I'm gonna need to watch that part in pieces, I hate that trope so much 😭

Lolol biggest plot twist of the video was me assuming you were talking about Bride in the preview clip where you said you had to read a sex scene three times (cough mechanics cough) but no! It was EH delivering the bewildering steamy scene. I have the book on hold - always enjoy both authors’ books but now I’m extra curious about Funny Story 😂

For those who loved the setting and pining in Bride, try K.M Shea's (KU) Magiford series 'Hall of Blood and Mercy'. It's clean but the world building and pining is fantastic

I would say Bride is omegaverse adjacent...like, if people who aren't super familiar with the concept go from Bride to other ABO, they will be in for some surprises.

There were parts of bride i defintely enjoyed more than others. I loved how they bonded with each other as they were solving the mystery but the last few chapters were a struggle to get through. Also, I just hated the way everything was wrapped up, it felt rushed.
