      It's the piezo injectors making that sound when the diesel becomes too thick. It does sound like rod bearing knock. The engine will be fine but the injectors won't be too happy though!

    WOW, that Russian tank thing that starts via a petrol 2-stroke is genius! Never heard of that design but I love it. Perfect for the ridiculously cold and remote.

      Uses to be called "pony motor start", not that rare on such equipment from around mid 20'th century, allowed it to get rid of the need to have a starting battery - a component that really never work after longer equipment storage...

      Yep, old school with its minutes of cranking and ton of smoke vs just crank and go, nothing video-worthy. At least that is with a reasonably maintained equipment. When not maintained, the "old school" is already smelted through scrap yards, so not in these videos.

    • @Ba_Yegu
      @Ba_Yegu 2 года назад

      It still amazes me how the technology is so advanced that about the same cars can be sold and used in both the Tropics and Arctic Regions. Of course often the starter motors and especially the batteries are larger in the cars intended for sales in the Arctic and the recommendations for the motor oils and coolant mixes are different, but the cars themselves are very similar.
      Nowadays even AC comes standard in the Western World no matter which Latitude one lives at. 😉

    Greetings from my Webasto parking heater which ensures that both, the engine and the car are already warm when starting. A great way to avoid the high abrasion (when starting the cold engine the oil is not that liquid and does not lubricate the moving parts of the engine) , having to scratsh the ice off the window or sit in an icecold car for the next 10 minutes. It even saves money...

    Не могу это смотреть. Ну емае, ну поставил в предстартовое положение ключ, подожди 10 секунд, пока свечи накала разогреются, пока кончики их станут раскаленными, чтобы облегчить запуск мотора. Первые 5-6 секунд на таком морозе можно даже не крутить стартером, не будет сгорать солярка.
    Свечи работают 20-30 секунд минимум, реле их выключает не сразу как погасла спиралька. Думаю половина бы авто запустилась без этих героических подвигов и крутов😡😡😡😡😡.
    Да просто выкрутите одну свечу на своем авто, прицепите штатный провод, положите на движок и ключ на предстарт. И посмотрите своими глазами сколько она Работать будет!
