내가 이번에 난리난거 보면서 다시 더 유닛 챙겨봤는데...정말 양지원님랑 앤씨아님은 진짜 좋은 사람이다. 저런 분들이 나중되면 방송계에서도 롱런하게 되는거지. 계속 사랑받고 좋아하는 사람들이 많아지거든. 정말 저런건 배워서 되는게 아니라 타고나야 하는거지...정말 두분 복 받으실거임.
I'm really happy for her. She worked hard like all the girls in the unit and after being ill she didn't stop from fulfilling her dream! As a fan for HYUNJOO I'm really proud of her
Trust this girl. She will do well in variety shows too. As a fineapple (April fan), I know she is fearless and is stronger than u guys expected. Her passion and hard work will make her go far in the industry. Just wait and see. She has a lot of personality than just being cute. The Unit just didn't show much of this cool/fearless side of her.

I’m actually sick and tired of hearing the number of people that are hating on Hyunjoo for this. It is unnecessary and criminal (quite literally in some countries). Firstly, it is the truth that she is not as talented as Semmi or Euna, no one’s denying this. Finapples, the public, and Hyunjoo herself knows that she is not as good in those aspects. We all know that Semmi and Euna offer amazing skills in singing and rap. However, people keep forgetting that this show is not about ‘talent’. If only the top 9 talented idols were to re-debut, the top 9 in both groups would look vastly different. This program is about letting idols that failed to become really popular have a second chance. Hyunjoo is JUST AS VALID as everyone else. She debuted in 2015, just like ZN in the final lineup. Thus, she has just as much right as anyone else to be part of the final lineup. (Technically it would have been an even greater disservice to the meaning of the show if they allowed a more talent BUT very recently debuted artist win Hyunjoo’s spot) In terms of what talent Hyunjoo has, it would be ridiculous to say that she cannot sing or dance. She CLEARLY can, but just not as amazing as certain other competitors. However, she has a very very unique personality and stage presence. Remember, they want idols that can capture people’s attention, and clearly Hyunjoo excelled at doing so. The first panel (which is made up of major industry professionals including RAIN, HYUNA, TAEMIN, etc) ALL AGREED that she has an “IT” factor. However, they never gave a definition to clarify what they meant by “IT” factor. Thus, you can’t just say that her “IT” factor is her aegyo… It very possibly could, but we can’t be certain because it wasn’t clearly defined. All we know from the first episode that there was SOMETHING about Hyunjoo in the way she carried herself that INSTANTLY stood out to all the judges and industry professionals. I can’t stress enough how the first panel was made up of major professionals (who have been in the industry for years and for some, decades… you would THINK that they know what they’re looking for). Thus, there was a special element in Hyunjoo that is not singing or dance that made her a valuable member for the girl group. Rain even said that her singing and dance was weak, BUT he said that if she could just improve those areas, she’d be the PERFECT girl group member because she already had a stellar performer aura in her. Now, did Hyunjoo improve? Watching her progress overtime, yes she did. It would be stupid to expect her to suddenly improve to NC.A’s level of talent in this time frame, but yes, she did improve. Through the program, her singing improved (not dramatically of course) but the fact is, she did improve. In terms of her dance and stage presence, I think she fit in perfectly in her performances. In the guerilla concert they just held, Hyunjoo is clearly in time and in fact, more in sync than some of the other girls. I believe that concert was lip-synced so we can’t judge their vocals, but in terms of energy on stage, Hyunjoo was glowing. I know all the winners were exhausted, but Hyunjoo continued to smile, move energetically, and she definitely made an effort to sing along while some of the other girls barely moved their lips. Her performance there is proof enough that she deserved that spot to win. To those hating on Hyunjoo’s voice, just letting you know, her voice naturally is that squeaky. You have the right to not like her voice quality, BUT TO HATE her for her voice is wrong. She was born with that voice. It’s not like you can ask her to change it. It’s just like someone’s race. It’s just as wrong to hate on someone for something they cannot change. People also hate her for her aegyo. Yes, Hyunjoo is very aegyo, but that’s not all she is. She has a tough side to her that unfortunately cannot show very well through this show. If you’d actually care to see how she’s like in real life (which a lot of haters won’t care to) you’d see that she isn’t JUST cute. We have to remember that this is a SHOW PROGRAM. Some parts are genuine, some parts are scripted, and some parts are edited. Especially since this is a survival program with so many contestants, each contestant only has so much time for themselves on camera. Thus, to make themselves known amongst so many contestants, each candidate must enforce that one unique quality of themselves to make them distinguished among everyone else. Thus, Hyunjoo showed her bright bubbly personality which was frankly quite smart. Don’t hate on Hyunjoo for her personality. Everyone already understood that only Korean fans could vote (after all, they mainly are going to promote in Korea) Most successful groups start big in Korea before branching internationally (besides a few groups like KARD who appealed to int fans first) If the general Korean public voted for her, she rightly earned her spot. On a business point of view, the most popular members bring in the most views and most money. If the final lineup was determined by the “business” management, Hyunjoo might have still made it because the judges would understand that Hyunjoo is a very popular member in Korea and would help increase the group’s revenue rather than a talented member with very little public support. You also have to consider the agency/company they came from. Hyunjoo was from DSP, and she got promoted by her fellow labelmates such as Youngji and J.seph and BM from KARD. Plus, a lot of Kamilia (KARA fans) likewise support April, so Hyunjoo had Fineapples and a handful of Kamilia supporting her back. For the record, all the other girls in the final lineup seem to love her just as much (especially NC.A) If the group members can get along, they should be able to work well together. Personally, I am very very upset that Semmi and Euna are not part of the final lineup, but this group can only have 9 members… if we could have it our way, we’d have all of them be part of one mega girl group. At this point, congratulate Hyunjoo, and everyone else and continue to support those that did and did not make it :)

Everyone deserve a spot. This is the reason why unit exist. Because we think that this particular idol dont deserve anything, like what... no one robbed by anyone. Its the korean people who voted for them, Their fellow countrymen. Dont hate this girl because she was voted and your faves not. Live in Korea then vote for your favorite and dont throw hate. "Congrats to her but i feel she dont deserve it" what a sarcasm. Im not a fan of any of this girls/boys. But i believe they were chosen for this opportunity for a reason. Just please everyone. If you want to congratulate. Just say congratulations. dont say anything else that will make the contestant look bad. She cannot please anyone. But please respect. Just please.

Hyunjoo, you will be criticized, criticized even if you do nothing. The people of this world are bad and have a lot of hatred on them. But never, never forget that you have fans, fans who love you, who know you have talent, charisma, and above all you're a good person. Besides, not all good voices are those that reach impressive high notes, No.
She not only deserves this spot but much more. If your bias didn't get in go support them, but don't go bashing Hyunjoo. She's sunshine incarnated and I'm really proud of her.

Even as her fan I can see where everyone's coming from in terms of her shortcomings, but it really does hurt reading things like "she didn't deserve it". I do hope she rises to meet yours and everyone else's expectations, because she definitely has talent and potential! I hope you have a good year ^_^

Anyone who have doubts about Hyunjoo in the Final 9 - ask NC.A why Hyunjoo deserve to be there - she (NC.A) sure have a good reason to be so happy because of Hyunjoo being in the final group!
Don't complain here about your favorite not having a spot in the top 9. Hyunjoo is in the top 9 for a reason. She will not be voted by the public if they don't see any talent with her.
Why you people are so surprised by Hyunjoo final result? Remember her Boot Stage there? Back then Hyunjoo already got votes from all 6 mentors - it means she really have this unique "something special"!
Hyunjoo is very lucky she has very supportive & popular colleagues in DSP media, such as KARA's Young Ji & KARD who recently went on social media to ask people to vote for Hyunjoo (they even had tutorials lol!). But throughout the 4-month competition, why were APRIL members not supporting Hyunjoo?
@SilverStrumer i follow APRIL mostly during debut & earlier comebacks when Hyunjoo was still around. I did get a feeling Hyunjoo did not fit well in APRIL, either the concept or can't get along with other members. Btw, many official reasons/statements on why a member left is often fake... (study, illness, acting, etc) She always seem very shy & misunderstood, this flaw was highlighted several times during TheUnit episodes too, such as when HyunJoo can't take initiative to form a group (no one approached her even though she got 5/6 Boots in audition!) & luckily, Yang Jiwon helped her out. Then, HyunJoo got a scolding from H.U.B's Hyosun (aka the tomboy), for no good reason during practise time lol, & HyunJoo didn't even defend herself. So anyway, just my guess unless some more experienced Fineapple can help us out lol.. then again, maybe it's not important. The teasers show HyunJoo will be an excellent Maknae in UnitG! :)

The Top 2 in UnitG, Euijin & Yebin both had strong support in real life & in SNS from their members (SONAMOO & DIA both showed excellent support on SNS throughout the 4 months contest & also showed up in the finals)! I’m actually sick and tired of hearing the number of people that are hating on Hyunjoo for this. It is unnecessary and criminal (quite literally in some countries). Firstly, it is the truth that she is not as talented as Semmi or Euna, no one’s denying this. Finapples, the public, and Hyunjoo herself knows that she is not as good in those aspects. We all know that Semmi and Euna offer amazing skills in singing and rap. However, people keep forgetting that this show is not about ‘talent’. If only the top 9 talented idols were to re-debut, the top 9 in both groups would look vastly different. This program is about letting idols that failed to become really popular have a second chance. Hyunjoo is JUST AS VALID as everyone else. She debuted in 2015, just like ZN in the final lineup. Thus, she has just as much right as anyone else to be part of the final lineup. (Technically it would have been an even greater disservice to the meaning of the show if they allowed a more talent BUT very recently debuted artist win Hyunjoo’s spot)
In terms of what talent Hyunjoo has, it would be ridiculous to say that she cannot sing or dance. She CLEARLY can, but just not as amazing as certain other competitors. However, she has a very very unique personality and stage presence. Remember, they want idols that can capture people’s attention, and clearly Hyunjoo excelled at doing so. The first panel (which is made up of major industry professionals including RAIN, HYUNA, TAEMIN, etc) ALL AGREED that she has an “IT” factor. However, they never gave a definition to clarify what they meant by “IT” factor. Thus, you can’t just say that her “IT” factor is her aegyo… It very possibly could, but we can’t be certain because it wasn’t clearly defined. All we know from the first episode that there was SOMETHING about Hyunjoo in the way she carried herself that INSTANTLY stood out to all the judges and industry professionals. I can’t stress enough how the first panel was made up of major professionals (who have been in the industry for years and for some, decades… you would THINK that they know what they’re looking for). Thus, there was a special element in Hyunjoo that is not singing or dance that made her a valuable member for the girl group. Rain even said that her singing and dance was weak, BUT he said that if she could just improve those areas, she’d be the PERFECT girl group member because she already had a stellar performer aura in her.
Now, did Hyunjoo improve? Watching her progress overtime, yes she did. It would be stupid to expect her to suddenly improve to NC.A’s level of talent in this time frame, but yes, she did improve. Through the program, her singing improved (not dramatically of course) but the fact is, she did improve. In terms of her dance and stage presence, I think she fit in perfectly in her performances. In the guerilla concert they just held, Hyunjoo is clearly in time and in fact, more in sync than some of the other girls. I believe that concert was lip-synced so we can’t judge their vocals, but in terms of energy on stage, Hyunjoo was glowing. I know all the winners were exhausted, but Hyunjoo continued to smile, move energetically, and she definitely made an effort to sing along while some of the other girls barely moved their lips. Her performance there is proof enough that she deserved that spot to win.
To those hating on Hyunjoo’s voice, just letting you know, her voice naturally is that squeaky. You have the right to not like her voice quality, BUT TO HATE her for her voice is wrong. She was born with that voice. It’s not like you can ask her to change it. It’s just like someone’s race. It’s just as wrong to hate on someone for something they cannot change.
People also hate her for her aegyo. Yes, Hyunjoo is very aegyo, but that’s not all she is. She has a tough side to her that unfortunately cannot show very well through this show. If you’d actually care to see how she’s like in real life (which a lot of haters won’t care to) you’d see that she isn’t JUST cute. We have to remember that this is a SHOW PROGRAM. Some parts are genuine, some parts are scripted, and some parts are edited. Especially since this is a survival program with so many contestants, each contestant only has so much time for themselves on camera. Thus, to make themselves known amongst so many contestants, each candidate must enforce that one unique quality of themselves to make them distinguished among everyone else. Thus, Hyunjoo showed her bright bubbly personality which was frankly quite smart.
Don’t hate on Hyunjoo for her personality. Everyone already understood that only Korean fans could vote (after all, they mainly are going to promote in Korea) Most successful groups start big in Korea before branching internationally (besides a few groups like KARD who appealed to int fans first) If the general Korean public voted for her, she rightly earned her spot. On a business point of view, the most popular members bring in the most views and most money. If the final lineup was determined by the “business” management, Hyunjoo might have still made it because the judges would understand that Hyunjoo is a very popular member in Korea and would help increase the group’s revenue rather than a talented member with very little public support. You also have to consider the agency/company they came from. Hyunjoo was from DSP, and she got promoted by her fellow labelmates such as Youngji and J.seph and BM from KARD. Plus, a lot of Kamilia (KARA fans) likewise support April, so Hyunjoo had Fineapples and a handful of Kamilia supporting her back. For the record, all the other girls in the final lineup seem to love her just as much (especially NC.A) If the group members can get along, they should be able to work well together.
Personally, I am very very upset that Semmi and Euna are not part of the final lineup, but this group can only have 9 members… if we could have it our way, we’d have all of them be part of one mega girl group. At this point, congratulate Hyunjoo, and everyone else and continue to support those that did and did not make it :)

Hyunjoo is very lucky she has very supportive & popular colleagues in DSP media, such as KARA's Young Ji & KARD who recently went on social media to ask people to vote for Hyunjoo (they even had tutorials lol!).
But throughout the 4-month competition, why were APRIL members not supporting Hyunjoo?
Macdain Farham that's what I was wondering too. Even Yoonjo had HELLO VENUS members support. Why did APRIL not appear for her?
@SilverStrumer i follow APRIL mostly during debut & earlier comebacks when Hyunjoo was still around. I did get a feeling Hyunjoo did not fit well in APRIL, either the concept or can't get along with other members.
Btw, many official reasons/statements on why a member left is often fake... (study, illness, acting, etc)
She always seem very shy & misunderstood, this flaw was highlighted several times during TheUnit episodes too, such as when HyunJoo can't take initiative to form a group (no one approached her even though she got 5/6 Boots in audition!) & luckily, Yang Jiwon helped her out.
Then, HyunJoo got a scolding from H.U.B's Hyosun (aka the tomboy), for no good reason during practise time lol, & HyunJoo didn't even defend herself.
So anyway, just my guess unless some more experienced Fineapple can help us out lol.. then again, maybe it's not important. The teasers show HyunJoo will be an excellent Maknae in UnitG! :)
@SilverStumer anyway, your comment made me wonder something too. The Top 2 in UnitG, Euijin & Yebin both had strong support in real life & in SNS from their members (SONAMOO & DIA both showed excellent support on SNS throughout the 4 months contest & also showed up in the finals)!
