One-Punch Man is a Japanese superhero franchise created by the artist ONE. It tells the story of Saitama, a superhero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch but seeks to find a worthy opponent after growing bored by a lack of challenge due to his overwhelming strength. ONE wrote the original webcomic version in early 2009. A digital manga remake began publication on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website in June 2012. The manga is illustrated by Yusuke Murata, and its chapters are periodically compiled and published into individual tankōbon volumes. As of June 2022, 26 volumes have been released. In North America, Viz Media has licensed the remake manga for English language release and was serialized in its Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine. An anime adaptation of the manga, produced by Madhouse, was broadcast in Japan from October to December 2015. A second season, produced by J.C.Staff, was broadcast from April to July 2019. The anime series is licensed in North America by Viz Media, and premiered in the United States on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block in July 2016. Saitama is the main protagonist of the series and the titular One-Punch Man. He is the most powerful being to exist in the series. Saitama faces a self-imposed existential crisis, as he is now too powerful to gain any thrill from battle. Initially just a hero for fun, Saitama later registers to be a professional hero for the Hero Association upon realizing that nobody recognizes him as a hero, and defends his home in Z-City from monsters, villains, and other threats. Under the Hero Association, he is assigned the hero name Caped Baldy and is currently B-Class Rank 7.

When I think of Saitama, I think of people complaining every time a chapter isn’t revolved around him
Speaking as a fan of the series but someone who doesn’t take my entertainment to seriously, I actually really enjoy that they go so far to explore the world around, not only do you get a taste of how OP he is compared to his world, which is so funny
The creators of OPM have done something no other creator has done
It’s an amazing anime and I love how it takes a different approach than the rest
Saitama is such a good character yet everyone always focuses on only how strong he is physically great vid man
I love how Saitama pretty much had character arc in the first 9 episodes/20ish chapters with him at first being excited when signing up for the Hero Association because of feeling like he was entitled to some appreciation and fan fare from the general public and even going outside after stopping the meteor expecting praise and thanks from people but after the crowd he saved trashed him and then seeing Mumen being selfless despite his weakness he decided getting credit and praise from people and the association actually isn't important to him anymore which culminated in him destroying his reputation to save the heroes who got washed by DSK's reputations and not going through the same thing he did after the meteor, and this change is still shown throughout the series with Saitama not caring that King accidently tool his credit and even restoring the police's reputation in the bonus chapter
Nah, that's not character development. We simply getting to know more and deeper into his character. Mumen has nothing to do with Saitama's action and character. He has been saving people and defeating monster anonymously without caring about credit and people's appreciation since the beginning, I mean since he decided to become a hero and start training. It's normal that he expected some recognition considering of how much he had done and he joined the HA also with some intention for people to know him, but even after all that, still he did it genuinely without any attempt to announce himself or making names. That's how his character has always been, he doesnt always what he say about himself, there's more about his character that is shown and not spoken.
On the contrary, Mumen is famous. He always anounce himself before doing heroic action. It's true that he is a true hero, throwing himself in danger for others, but he always gets people's recognition regardless that he never actually complete the job. Unlike Saitama who has been doing everything left and right, but nobody knows that and even receives hatred from public.
@@windygrass9807exactly, saitama doesn't care about people opinions
Usually, when the hero arrives, you get relieved and expect them to beat the bad guy. But sometimes they don't. Sometimes it isn't enough and you need a group effort. Saitama is the ideal hero in that, once he arrives, there is no greater team player. The coach is here to teach a lesson. He treats each monster as they deserve to be treated. If they can be saved, he does. But unparalleled evil is no match for unparalleled good. He's just such a relaxing figure because he will always do the right thing. And there is no greater hero than Saitama. I said it poorly but my point remains
>most immaculate statement ever made
"i said it poorly"
@@riverman6462 I was just about to type that lol, loved his take 👊
Saitama is a very inspiring protagonist. Because beside every trait that makes him uncool (he's got no style, he's kinda dumb most of the time), he has a very acute sense of justice what's good for the world, and never put it in a flashy way.
For me the line that sums up every thing I love about him is when all the others hereos wanted to judge garou after what he has done. When Geno's proposed that Saitama was the one who should be in charge for doing it, he responded that he doesn't know much about the judiciary system and laws. This little phrase shows that beside his apparent blunt response, he knew that true justice can only be given in front of a court.
Great video, I wish alot of opm fans see saitama as not just a funny man but a true hero done right
In a world full of Heroes. Saitama wants to feel human again
This is probably the shortest description of his arc that i can think of
finally found someone who grasped the idea of the character that the author wants to recount, great video!
The perfect Hero ❌ The Chad character ✅
Man woke up and decided to speak facts 🗣
Thank you for the masterpiece, I appreciate your especially nuanced opinion good job brother.
why does this guy have only 3k subs
amazing content
Do it as a hobby and you're perfect lol
Hope the anime will make the battle between Garou and Saitama well
1:59 accurate lol
you summed it up perfectly! loved the video!
if you're gonna make a character extremly overpowerd without being boring, you gotta do it like ONE and Murata
Just done dirty by his fanbase
In my mind saitama is like op spiderman but less suffering
In a world full of Heroes. Saitama wants to feel human again.
At least he doesnt have the authors that wants to make his life literal hell even tho its already lol
I agree with every detailed you explained
That’s why Saitama is the goat
saitama: i just wanna be a hero for fun
I think that saitamas arc is about becoming the best hero not the strongest here, he’s already there now he needs to find his way from, reacting the big disasters when they have already caused massive damage and moving towards a character who is there when he’s needed.
Perfect video
Garou wasn't even near boros since saitama is holding back against garou since Tareo promise saitama not to kill Graou
Ah, so like... Mihawk then huh
Soo good
Spider-Man > 🤕
