Sir I am big trouble in AVERAGE PITCH Some book says "average pitch must be close to pole pitch for both lap and wave" is that true?
Yes. Average Pitch = Pole Pitch. If pole pitch is 8 (even), then for lap winding you can have back pitch 9 and front pitch 7 (assuming progressive winding), then average pitch is 8.
