    Great machine, pal. I loved playing that one back in the day.......and it's rare that I don't remember where it was that I played it. Any other machine, I could tell you who had it at the time.

    For those wondering about why Asteroid Annie and the Aliens came out after Gottlieb went into System 80 models the story I've read about (the short version anyways) is that one of the game designers who was retiring (can't remember the name) wanted to do ONE more single-player game with a playing card theme and they used the System 1 boardset to use up leftover stock. This also explains Annie's low production run of a couple hundred games.

    Have you ever read the advertising slogan for this pinball machine? It is exactly how you would describe Genie! You can even cash in your bonus value in the upper right eject hole (next to the two pop bumpers) too!

    Out of curiosity, how do you guys handle cupped inserts? Do you try to fill them level with the rest of the playfield or do you just put mylar over them?

    • @tntamusements
      @tntamusements  10 лет назад +1

      Joe Newberry We touch them up first, and then, if the area is not flat, spray a little clear gloss over the paint to help it from chipping again.

    A metal fabricator will make those lock down bars for you if you give them the dimensions

    • @tntamusements
      @tntamusements  10 лет назад

      We briefly looked into it...but ordering only one, with all the edges, turns and inside parts...production cost for just one would be too high...it was better to try to locate a used one. It seems that even Gottlieb didn't make this special either...they actually made this from TWO of their regular lockdown bars...and was cut in middle and welded together!! It's well done but easy to spot!

      TNT Amusements Inc Ich hatte diesen Flipper einmal, vor etwa 10 Jahren. Es ist vielleicht ein gute Verkaufsidee LEDs zu nehmen, aber ich bevorzuge doch lieber den Originalzustand. :-) I have had that Pinball approx 10 years ago. Well, it might be a great selling idea to use LEDs, but I prefer it like it was, than it was produced... :-)

    • @tntamusements
      @tntamusements  9 лет назад +1

      Neoxenum That's fine...but it seems that 99% of our customers want the LED's...but there are still some that do not---which is fine!

    • @KK-jb1fy
      @KK-jb1fy 7 лет назад

      LEDs are actually a great solution. Although incandescents give it the original look, they consume a lot more power and heat up. That means tarring and plastics warping, but also lower longevity.

    • @Neoxenum
      @Neoxenum 7 лет назад +1

      I want it original, not just original looking...
