Takamura vs Hawk - we see the natural talent and inner monster, the raw unadulturated demon that can destroy beasts Takamura vs Eagle - we see how intense training and superb guidance forges a Demon into a Warrior, capable of hitting his target while blinded. Everyone complains about Takamura being the go-to OP never lose character in the show, but his fights do have a defined background and are more than satisfying to watch
Takamura is the living example of the saying that : "Hard-work beats talent; *IF* the talent is lazy". Which Takamura isn't thus making him a genius in the ring.
At this point it's not really going to matter once he gets back to his natural weight class. Because it's implied that his eye is damaged. His weight management won't be a problem, but his depth perception is gonna be screwed.
Takamura was really proud of his win due to the fact that for him Eagle was just like Ippo. If ippo was a heavyweight he would be just like Eagle. That's what Takamura had in mind and that's the most toughest kind of a boxer. And takamura felt proud in defeating such toughest kind.
Light And Darkness Nice but i think Brian Hawk was more insane , more powerful than Sawamura or even Takamura. I mean it was said that he never practiced and still he was able to kill Takamura. I wonder if Brian had trained just like Eagle then what kind of a Fighter he would be. We have seen Takamura vs A RAW version of Brian Hawk. If and if only Brian could train at least as hard as Takamura then he would have been unstoppable. Also you should note that in the victory of Takamura he had the support of the old man , Ippo and the others while Hawk didn't had anyone to back him up. If someone cheers for you that can give you so much support in desperate time. So i think Brian fought in a very disadvantage match.
Takamura is always either beating the shit out of animals, or beating the shit out of people named after animals. By the end of the series, he'll have conquered six taxonomic classes of animals. Nightmare to PETA, hero to all. Last arc: Takamura woops the shit out of an elephant, and fights a guy named Freddy Falcon.
Nothing announced yet, but this season's only a year old, so I'm sure they'll make one. You should read the manga though, it's actually really enjoyable
Noooo. Far from. It's as old as I am and going strong. Check it out though it's really got an interesting aesthetic that's different from the anime, but still amazing.
The crowd reactions to Takamura are pretty good. They see him continue to swing like that, and they have a mix of shock and terror. Even his own gym mates are terrified of him in this moment.
I wouldn’t call it fear, I’d call it amazed at this beast. He had both of his eyes punched to hell, effectively turning him almost blind for the fight, yet thanks to his training, he was able to punch his way out of a situation where his opponent had the biggest advantage. Yet when he kept punching, I couldn’t see terror, fear, or frighten faces. But stunned, amazed, and over all jaw jropping faces instead
It felt less to me like being terrified of him and more like they were shocked by how far he had gone while simultaneously being worried for his well-being. Because it's not actually a good thing to see him continue punching like that after the guy has gone down. Outside of an anime, that would be really concerning. Because it implies, not only has his vision been damaged, but he can't actually feel what he's doing with his hands. It implies he's not fully conscious and just acting on instinct. Which is not really something you want to see happening with someone you care about.
This is So EPIC, and it's kinda hilarious how the epicness just continued on without Eagle. He's like "nope, I'm outta here," and the dramatic music keeps building on Takamura alone. Normally, the music builds up, reaching it's highest point at that final epic punch that ends the match, but Takamura is so badass that he literally ended the match before the music had a chance to reach that point. XD
The music keeps going because it doesn't follow the match, but instead is accompanying or even better..."showcasing" the beast, the soul of a man that pushes his limits to come out on top. When he was punching the air the crowd had their mouth open because they couldn't believe how he was still able to fight with that strength despite his conditions.
In my opinion Takamura's best fight. Obviously Hawk was a much more colorful opponent and a better villain but the fight itself was just a straightforward slugfest, Eagle actually managed to push Takamura so far that he couldn't just brawl his way out, he had to box.
Eagle is one of my favourite fights, but Hawk is the only part when I jumped from my chair and cried at the end. The build up was SO good I nearly had an heart attack. The part where Kamogawa catch Hawk and tell him he would kill him for touching his boxer then getting hit was like the most "OH FUCK" part of the whole series for me (that and Sawamura hitting Kumi). You KNOW shit is going to happen
It doesn't matter if Eagle was a better villain or not anyway. Not all boxers that are enemies are 'villains'. Look at Volg or Woli for another example.
This fight really grew on me. Because after Takamura fighting an unhinged monster, he's up against a fighter with a clear head and a determination that mirror's Ippo's. This fight proved that Takamura never lost his touch, and what happened during his fight with Hawk is not a one-off.

J Kurayami I get the standpoint but that doesn't explain everything. I mean it's not like Naruto and Bleach have such a chaotic plot. It's linear, but the amount of side characters that receive their own development is so big that they conflict with the actual protagonist at times. I mean of course the 'antagonist' get portrayed well in a boxing anime. it's the person who the antagonist is facing in a 1 vs 1 match. Naruto however (as an example), goes way deeper than that in terms of plot etc. (only saying this because I've read the manga). I mean I love both shows; Hajime no Ippo is my all time favourite sports anime, but to make such a bold statement and compare it to two major shounen series, just seems wrong to me.
derp derpington Ippo is better than both Naruto and Bleach, it´s not such a bold statement, on the contrary it´s quite accurate. He wasn´t talking about popularity but quality. I loved this scene. Takamura is such a monster that even a blind punch is an extinction level event for grey matter. Eagle got hit so hard he travelled back in time and saw 4 generation of his ancestors develop a black eye from that last punch

Demn. After eagle has been knocked down. When takamura is still punching. The crowd everyone realizes takamura was blindly fighting all this time. It shows how much training he undergo. Accurately hitting vital points whether unconsciously or blinded. Hes been really working hard all this time
This fight reminds me of Diego Corrales vs Jose Castillo bout where Corrales miraculously managed to technically knock out Castillo and forced the referee to stopped the fight though everyone watching thought he would lose after he was knocked downed a few times by Castillo in Round 10. when that music kicks and the jet engines get going its just a feeling you only get from this anime. The fact that Bleach got its ending animated gives me hope that maybe someday this anime will get its ending animated too
This was a great fight. Takamura still has enough juice to throw in big shots, but his right eye is swollen and his left eye is cut bleeding. He can only see Eagle's foot. With his training and pure instinct he just went ahead and gave haymakers left right koing Eagle.
David Eagle reminds me of certain people I'd fight in Dark Soul's PVP; they're extremely talented, and if they used every trick in the book they'd wipe the floor with me, but they hold onto some imaginary idea of honor and a fair fight, and because of that I'm able to hold my own against them and come out on top.

Same here man... same. Another four years later and STILL get Frickin chills
The audience couldn’t digest the monstrousity, the fact that he kept swinging without knowing what happened!
Watching this high just made me tear up. Takamura's resolve is ridiculous
1:44 lmao, eagle already went home
Guys im not saying takamura its weak but if hawk gonna train he will probably win
And with eagle if eagle punch takamura on his left eye eagle will probably win anyway takamura its a beast
@@ahmeg. hawk is now gone dude he's traumatized
@@kayledarius4965 oh yeeeaaah hes never gonna fight against anyone
'All i can do is my job, do what ive always done' i felt this.
One of the best anime scenes ever PERIOD
Facts
My god...How come I have never seen this anime? It looks amazing.
because youre one of those people who only watches over hyped animes
No I'm not really into anime at all to be honest. I can name only a couple that I genuanlly liked like Outlaw Star, Trigun, Cowboy bebop, fist of the North Star (Only saw the OVA though) And I think the most resent one I watched was Space Dandy.
I tried watching Sao and I really didn't like it. (main character was the most bland human being I ever saw. lol)
Mac Russell yeah dude, watch hajime no ippo XD its not just action but its fckin hilarious too most of the time XD so you get a lil bit of both XD - worth watching, start it at season 1 the oldest
Reapersoul125 I love Hajime No Ippo but it is not better than One Piece in anyway. I'm not even gonna count animation because Ippo is seasonal and One Piece is weekly. The budgets and schedules are so different it's not even a fair comparison.
When Beethoven conducted his last symphony while fully deaf, he continued to wave his arms after the music ended and the musicians had to turn him around to see the audience cheering.
Takamura: hold my beer
Demn. After eagle has been knocked down.
When takamura is still punching. The crowd everyone realizes takamura was blindly fighting all this time. It shows how much training he undergo. Accurately hitting vital points whether unconsciously or blinded.
Hes been really working hard all this time
lmfao 20 seconds of Takamura epicly swinging his fists at the air
That jet whistle chills my spine
"Champions are not only build on the ring, they are built also in training"
2020 i'm still here! Where you at hajime no ippo season 4 or 5 where you at!?
The background music jeesus christ its so epic!!!
One of my favorite scenes ever!!!
Who's here from 2024?
👇
This fight reminds me of Diego Corrales vs Jose Castillo bout where Corrales miraculously managed to technically knock out Castillo and forced the referee to stopped the fight though everyone watching thought he would lose after he was knocked downed a few times by Castillo in Round 10. R.I.P champ, Diego Coralles.
this is so epic that i cried
Ms100 Omg so I wasn't the only one who was crying by this scene o.0
Takamura went to war with some pure animals!!! They pushed him to his limit
I love how the most epic part of this fight was him swinging at nothing. 😂
That sound background was actually kamogawas theme when he fought the americans
damn! chill takamura god damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah hes god
@@hdisappears9481 Takamura the WBC middleweight champion? Never heard of him! Maybe Canelo and GGG got kicked the ass of this japanese and becomes nowhere now.

To be a great boxer. We need to be average tall or power. But takamuras mentality is really brutal. Takamuras punches are like enough to kill someone. Sheesh 🥶🥶💀💀💀
Takamura is what happens when someone with immense talent works hard AND has proper training.
I don't know of any real life examples though.
THE REFEREE: i'm not stopping that GUY they don't even pay me ENOUGH
That's gonna be suicide
Guys be honest that is what u call most epic fight in anime history i mean....i cant even describe its so FCKIN AMAZING
when that music kicks and the jet engines get going its just a feeling you only get from this anime. The fact that Bleach got its ending animated gives me hope that maybe someday this anime will get its ending animated too
Я тоже
It brought manly tears to my manly tearducts
Reuben Patrick Tolentino q
Bro is the definition of muscle memory
I love the primal sounds Takamura makes when punching. Reminds me of Guts when hes swinging his sword
This is the true beauty of coach and his champion, either they won or defeated. The bonds always have the different kind of stage of belt.
My favorite scene from my favorite anime
All I can do is my job. Do exactly what I've always done. Just aim for the old man mitts......and punch! I love that speech.
These guys got a weird bird obsession
its really cool that Jet engines make the same sound as hajime no ippo punches
Bro was still punching Eagle even after his spirit was lifted
Great fight, great voice actor.
God damn I got some chills after watching this
I really like that all of Takamura's bad guys are bird themed. Fitting considering his name roughly translates to hawk village lol
This was a great fight. Takamura still has enough juice to throw in big shots, but his right eye is swollen and his left eye is cut bleeding. He can only see Eagle's foot. With his training and pure instinct he just went ahead and gave haymakers left right koing Eagle.
david haye??
1:42 blud started fighting hes demons
Esta escena me pone la piel de gallina
You know somebody's gonna go down when The Finisher starts playing
Seriously... why Takamura always have to fight guys with bird names? First Hawk, now Eagle...
Next is Falcon.
+Makishima Shogo oh shit....
+Diego Hermogenes (DiegoGamer360) It's animal names,not only birds.Next is Bison
+gabriel carvalho mori makes fun of their names, takamura fought against a guy, who was called ronald duck
And the australian dude was a blonde guy called "crocodile" wearing a hat with crocodile teeth lol
Respect to Eagle aswell! they fought like crazy!
Pure hardwork...this video motivate me alot.
Everyone gangsta, untill Takamura starts boxing against the air.
立ってる位置で顔面の場所を正確に打ち抜いてるからまさに練習のたまものやな
David Eagle reminds me of certain people I'd fight in Dark Soul's PVP; they're extremely talented, and if they used every trick in the book they'd wipe the floor with me, but they hold onto some imaginary idea of honor and a fair fight, and because of that I'm able to hold my own against them and come out on top.
Late reply, but I'm like that and I've lost so many fights cause of that honor shit lol
No hay nada más hermoso q Takamura despeinado
Name of the second music???? Plis
The Finisher
Gianmarco Inga name of first ost?
Just type Sawamura theme
