- Tried to get this finished before college started because I sent it to Nijikon. I loved Takamura's fight and it's one of the best moments I've ever encountered in an anime.
Unfortunately I couldn't find the episodes in full hd, or even raw, therefore it's pretty low quality and even though it didn't get any prize I am pretty proud of it because it had a decent mark and the judges were great.

Love the insane weight cut part because it's a real thing, some pro athletes cut from 200 lbs to 155 for a fight, it's just crazy.
Not very many.. maybe like 5% or less. 50 lbs retarded amount to lose

Yes it is but if you don't do it you will end up fighting much bigger guys.
PS: to people who said that I exaggerated or that it's not that common keep in mind that many ufc lightweights (so the 155 division) admitted that they walk around 200lbs.
@@51dodoc Tbh it's cap. I'm 200 and for me to get 155 I'd need to go full catabolic. If you removed all my fat rn I wouldn't weigh 155. Lowest is probably 165 (and i mean remove ALL fat). So these guys saying their 200 normal weight is big cap. 200 if they're fat, yes. But def not 200 with an atheletic build.

The finishing blow 🔥 the sound effect, the silence, beast eyes.. One of the most hyped moment that never gets old no matter how many times you watch it. Still gives goosebumps.
Ofc. Kamogawas fight with andarson lits the fire🔥 in anyones heart.
Even while being born with such rare talent and only him being able to take on the world , he works so hard with such drastic journey that he only can withstand , thats why his character is so amazing

Times are very tough , my son is six weeks and apart form my in laws' help i am destitue

Man this is amazing! Love Hajime no Ippo and the music is well chosen.
takamura won because of the vaseline his coach put on his hair before the final match. It probably mixed in with his sweat and slide down to his face and caused Hawk counter to slip. The author never mentioned it but he included that scene in there for reason.

He may seem like a character for comedy . But i assure you, Takamura and Sendou are the best characters in The entirity of hajime no ippo. The sheer dedication of takamura to win 6 belts in 6 different weight class all for coach kamogawa always brings me tears
Hajime no Ippo is really great at being both comedic and serious at the same time. Takamura, the character who jokes around and plays the clown the most, is also the one most serious about boxing which is his passion. He can be so nonchalant because he is strong, but his strength comes from the endless blood and sweat he pours into his work. Not everyone who works hard is rewarded, as we can see with Aoki and Kimura, but all those who succeed have worked hard, such as Takamura.
tl;dr: Work hard, Play hard.
@@CannedPsycho- i wouldn't say aoki and kimura haven't succeeded, they actually have amazing records. it's just unfortunate they can't make it past their country championships, but if they ever will, their world rankings would be insanely high

He has talent but it will take some time to tap into that talent so he has to practice
Very few may come in that category too
Some have talent but they need to make some effort to polish that talent
And the remaining 75 percentage are just average who will remain average

Hajime no Ippo is an anime that will never be old.
The only regret of all fans is that the voice actor for Kamogawa Genji passed away as they were wrapping up Season 3.

@@Snow-gs8qn I had not seen the third season, at the time I made that comment, but damn Ippo vs Sawamura was also such an epic fight.... Didn´t like Takamura vs Eagle, tho, it was kinda a let down after watching the badass Takamura´s battle to death against Hawk in season 2.
And you´re right, Kimura is such an underrated character, I personally loved him in the OVA vs Mashiba.

to keep in mind, it was only powerful because it was a counter that made use of his weight and gravity, while the opponent no longer had any way to absorb the shock nor dodge in his position taking the full damage of the hit.
Otherwise, Takamura on the brink of just collapsing from exhaustion would've hardly been any better on his right.
It's these details that highlight the director, especially how good the show is, beyond the technique and choreagraphy.

That's exactly how I view the show. It takes the time to not only show "real" boxing (as real as it could ever be in an anime), but also puts science, and everything else in.
