Too right, I'm only in my mid 30's, I have never seen any attempts at River dredging aside from the canal Trust who use the river near us as an access point, they have done light dredging but only for the moorings.
Give it a few months and it will all be dried up, everyone will be baking, there will be a hosepipe ban, areas will be on fire and we'll all be praying for the water to come back. It's like we go through the same seasons year after year.

Also plant more trees, isn't that supposed to help reduce flooding? It's such a shame for these beautiful old little villages and towns to be destroyed like this :(
