I always love seeing Lion King reimaginings with dinosaurs. With a little creature reshuffling and the setting being somewhere appropriate for them, it's a shock we don't see more of these types of projects undertaken. I can't wait to see the whole animation!

Does look good so far, this animatic. And fitting since that's some of the things I'm thinking of using for my storyboards/screenshot edits of The Lion King as dinosaurs. Like Triceratops as a rhino, hadrosaurs as the antelope, azhdarchid pterosaurs as the Marabou Storks, Pterodaustro as the flamingos, the sauropods as elephants, and the Brachiosaurus as giraffes. It may not be complete yet, but at least it's just in time for this movie's 30th anniversary.
I’m guessing the lions are tyrannosaurs, the hyenas are some kind of raptor, Zazu is a small pterosaur, Timon is a microceratus, and Pumbaa is maybe a mid-sized ceratopsian? Not sure about Rafiki tho, maybe something bizarre like Therizinosaurus or Deinocheirus?
Falcarius or Nothronychus could be good size for Rafiki, Zazu I can see it as a Dimorphodon for the large beak. and Hyenas could some Megaraptorids like Aerosterons or Megaraptor itself for the scary effect of long hands claws and also because they need to be at a descent size if we remember they take down Scar in the end, so something close to a T.rex size but not too close too.
Damn it it was just getting good. This alongside He Mele No Lilo from Lilo and Stitch are some of my favorite songs. You should do Be Prepared next, its also a favorite of mine.

Also, I don’t mean to be nosy, but some of the creature designs I’ve noticed have actually been deemed outdated and scientifically incorrect. Nothing to sneeze at, really. Just something I wanted to point out.

Prediction: Rafiki is either a ancient mammal or a stranded human Time traveler who went kinda bonkers.
I feel like he’d be one of the stranger dinosaur species, like Therizinosaurus or Deinocheirus.

Pumbaa could be a Protoceratops.
