Hi Lee. I bought a TF late last year. Unfortunately, the near side headlight needed replacing and I opted to buy refurbished headlights converted to have daytime running lights. I am not mechanically minded (and probably paid a lot more for the 2003 car than it's worth) but have always wanted a MG. Your video has enabled me to fit the new headlights myself, and I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to share your videos.
Having joined the 16 year old rust bucket club I am enjoying your how to do it videos. It is a long time since I have come across so many dreadful bitsa assemblies all consolidated in a sea of rust. But Hey its and MG and I have worked on Porkers that are designed to be maintainable. This bugger is a challenge. Fortunately I am old and experienced in engineering so my tool kit is fairly extensive, not that that confers any advantage to rust bucket specials. I am however indebted ot your vids for telling where the fasteners are when they hide!! (Usually under a sea of rust and poor servicing.)
Good video, I've not long stripped the front of mine and didn't even realise it had the 2 screws inside the wing area, mine must have been missing! Good luck with those sills, you'll need to replace a fair chunk of metal I think, it's only .9mm thick
Thanks for this series, which I'm working through: I've got 3 MGFs: one track, one road, and one 'Christmas Tree'. While I've got a good workshop, I've not done too much myelf on them yet, as I like to understand what to expect, before I go blundering in. The tone and presentation of these videos are fantastic for me, and the photgraphy is particularly clear - THANK YOU!
Great video again Lee. Those plastic covers are always a pain and I seem to have to take them off quite regularly for maintenance of one form or another. I’ve fitted some stainless screws in there, which saves at least a bit of heartache each time. Cheers again.
Hi MG Lee Very much enjoy your videos. I like your no nonsense approach to tackling just about anything on your car. You explain things clearly & film in great detail. I'm only just starting to tackle mine. Carry on the good work. 👍
Tackled my bumper but couldn't get those screws out behind the wheel arch and since I don't have a axle stand I left it , but will have another go soon - when it stops raining lol . Great video , keep them coming .
Watch out on the screw bits you use. The Philips (PH) bits will fit better than the Pozi (PZ) bits so you'll have a better chance in not camming out the screw heads also try and clean out the debris out the slots so the bit can bite in better.
I feel your pain... had very similar experience with my MGF front bumper... now no longer uses stupid posidrive screws under the wings.. has stainless bolts

Just about to do this job on my recent purchase...... dread to think what I am about to find. Thanks for the great how to walk through video.

Another great video Lee. I'm about to take the bumpers off my tf. Thought I'd wait to see how it's done!
Keep up the great work.

Cheers Gary, there was one I really struggled with and got it out with an impact driver in the end👍
I managed to do it without an axle stand, it’s just more fiddly!
About to start a subframe replacement job on my mg tf. This video series has helped me plan massively. All the best lee!

Cheers Allan, think I'll be going down a similar route!! 👍
Hoy are doing a great job! thank you for sharing it with us!
Excited to see work on the subframe start!
Hi MG Lee, I hope you can help me!! I have a open Plug next to the Dip-Stick! do you know where it connects to? BR Pat with a MG TF 135
I remember doing this for the first time a while ago, could not find a video how to do it so I made one😁
Another great video again! Thanks again from The Netherlands
