I truly believe in gold and silver as investments… I know this isnt really investing in gold, more so just buying jewelry, but I bought a 6mm solid rope chain for $2800 about a year ago and now it is selling for around $3700 online and I recently got an offer of $3300 for it.
If you bought the gold in August 1971 and then sold it in early 1980, you would have made a return of more than 2000%. On the other hand, if you had bought in 1980 and sold in late 1999, you would have lost around 70%. The same is true for silver.
