- An 11-year-old orphan from Colombia named Sebastian spent the summer with the Barkey family in California as part of a hosting program. The couple secretly wanted to adopt him but rules prohibited them from telling him. After announcing to their three sons and daughter that they wanted to make Sebastian a permanent part of their family, they called him to share the news. Video later captured their emotional reunion.
