  • We took a quick overnight trip to Sasquatch Provincial Park in Harrison Hot Springs. Sasquatch park is a very popular camping destination for anyone looking to camp within 1-2 hours from Vancouver. If you are looking for camping in British Columbia, you will know how hard it is to get a site in any popular spots close to Vancouver. So we lucked out and got a site in the Bench Campground in Sasquatch which is situated very close to the Deer Lake.
We arrived later at night and it was raining heavily so we just set up camp and went to sleep. We always prefer tent camping but we saw a lot of campers showing up with their RV. Mind you, the road is a bit rough so make sure you have a car with good ground clearance.
In the morning, when we woke up we took a walk around Deer Lake which is such a beautiful place to be in the morning! For lunch, we had a Tilapia Fish BBQ over the campfire which turned out so delicious.
Overall, we had a very relaxing camping experience in the rain at Sasquatch Provincial Park. Hope you like the video and please let us know if you have any questions.

Hi there! Maybe this video can provide some ideas on how we set up the tarp cover to protect from the rain.
