This week, we headed to Allison Lake Provincial Park, about 325km from Vancouver to spend a relaxing weekend camping by the lake. We both had a super busy week so we were craving a digital detox - just sitting by the campfire, listening to nature sounds, some stargazing and of course some good food. This time we decided anything we cook would be over the open fire so I packed up some marinated ...

We took a quick overnight trip to Sasquatch Provincial Park in Harrison Hot Springs. Sasquatch park is a very popular camping destination for anyone looking to camp within 1-2 hours from Vancouver. If you are looking for camping in British Columbia, you will know how hard it is to get a site in any popular spots close to Vancouver. So we lucked out and got a site in the Bench Campground in Sasq...

    That was a great campsite reference tour. I’ll be sure to use it if I ever go to Mule Deer. We were just in Manning Park a few weeks ago in August staying at Lightning Lake. I’ve also been to Coldspring, Skyview, and Hampton. But never stayed at Mule Deer yet (only driven through the site). Maybe one day.

      @@ExplorewithNoshin ... if you go to Coldspring, try to get the sites that backs onto Similkameen River (eg. C32 to C34 plus others). The only negative with that campsite is you only get ground water through a manual hand pump (or just drive to one of the other sites and use their water taps). Hampton has nice big sites and good facilities (showers, dish washing sinks, flush toilets,). But it's on the other side of the highway away from all the main attractions so you'd have to drive everywhere. Lightning Lake campground is nice but feels busier and more crowded. But it's close to the lake. We went to Banff, Yoho & Jasper in July ... we got really lucky as we left Jasper 7 days before the wild fires came in and evacuated the entire town. So many places we visited have either been damaged or completely burned now. We're grateful we have the memories and photos there. - Ed

    • @ExplorewithNoshin
      @ExplorewithNoshin 4 месяца назад

      There's definitely bears over here. But as long as you follow the general rules - clean up the campsite, don't leave any food open outside (locked inside the car), you should be good. Bears anyway don't like to come near humans. The trick is to keep the food locked when you are asleep or not in the campsite.

    Great video as always. Loved how the music coincides with the start of each new day. We went to Wells Gray ourselves in July 2021. We stayed at Falls Creek Campground, right beside the one you were at. Funny thing was we got to camp late too, right around 8:30pm just like you guys. Very memorable trip … we went to pretty much all the same attraction sites as you. I was hoping you went up to Trophy Meadows. We went up, walked for about 30 min and never made it to the meadows with all the flowers as our kids were getting tired and we all got mosquito’d out. One of the locals recommended we go to Sticta Falls … it was a short easy hike for the kids and because it was a lesser known fall, no one was there so we had the whole area to ourselves. Btw, I liked that little break you guys took, stopping to have your tea before continuing with the tarp. Priorities 👍😋. Did you guys catch any fish?

    • @ExplorewithNoshin
      @ExplorewithNoshin 4 месяца назад

      You have always been there with the kindest comments. Cannot express how encouraging and wholesome it is. We have loved our Clearwater trip. Unfortunately it was wildfire time so there was a lot of smog, we wish the sky was cleaner. We didn't know about trophy Meadows but now that you have said it, it will definitely be on our bucket list for the next Clearwater trip. Glad that you noticed we stopped for tea between setting up tarp - yes, priorities ♥️ We couldn't catch a fish unfortunately, hopefully another item for the next trip 😊 Thank you so much for your support as always. Hope to bump on you someday on a camping trip and say hello! Take care and stay blessed! ♥️
