Finally someone is recommending books of Sri Aurobindo. He is one of the greatest individuals this country has ever produced, yet his works have been greatly ignored. Besides his active participation in India’s fight for freedom as well as its spiritual upliftment, his contribution to Indian literature is incomparable. His books are of course very difficult to understand, but the level of clarity one gets is second to none.

All I would say and urge with folded hands to all Sanatanis is : The Lord has given us a chance after many years to revive and get.back to our roots the vedic lifestyle and the right way to live or lives.
Most importantly let us learn our lessons from our past "DO NOT DISCRIMINATE" humans and our own on the basis of the misinterpreted version of the Varna Vyavasta. And the see how strong we become, teach this divine science of spirituality let it be vedas ,puranas, upanishad to all and see how much posibilties we create to have more truly intellectual peple like Deepakji we produce who will carry the baton further.

      I got one doubt here.
      Ummm......
To recite Vedas and Sanskrit slokas etc , ESPECIALLY VEDAS with CORRECT SWARAAS, one's TONGUE must be light as in it should be able to twist to PRONOUNCE the words correctly.
      INCORRECT pronunciation will harm everything.
That lightness of tongue will come ONLY when one DOESN'T CONSUME onion, garlic, non veg etc. The SACREDNESS to CHANT VEDAS comes from FREQUENT FASTINGS AND SACRIFICES.
SO MY QUESTION IS HOW MANY OF ALL THE PEOPLE WILL BE WILLING TO DO THESE TO LEARN THE ABOVE SAID SACRED THINGS ?
WILL THEY HAPPILY REJECT ONION,GARLIC ,NON VEG, LUXURIES ETC ETC ?
NOTE : I AM not A BRAHMIN. JUST AN ORDINARY PERSON who eats onion and garlic , veg fast foods , veg outside foods etc.
NOTE : I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT FAKE BRAHMINS WE SEE IN THE SOCIETY NOW. I AM TALKING ABOUT GENUINE ONES.

At an intellectual level the validation of knowledge is of the essence. So I say that the study of the six schools of thought namely, samkhya, mimamsa, Nyaya Buddhism Jainism and Carvaka should be mandatory before graduating of college Indic civilization is not restricted to Ramayana and Mahabharata and Bhakti tradition . Genuine debates, not the television type freak shows should be encourage with set perimeters . Yes lastly one must understand what l
Kind of mind produces creativity, such as how Brahmaguptaes finally made zero a real number based on our ontology of sunya and Purna . Our universities need to produce massive literature on these fields . Sorry folks I am supplying you with my likes. I am not into Bhakti but Raja yoga while I envy Bhakta yogis and their passion.I am a Indian with a PhD in western philosophy who discovered Indic themes 10 years ago and was blown out by the fact that Induc philosophy had written so much on inductive logic , something the west lacked till the dawn of science and trashing of Aristotle . So please some importance to philosophy not just politics. How many airports are named after Panini or Aryabhatta. There is a Nagarjuna university and that is cool , but not many others . We are obsessed with political and Bhakti hero’s alone . Check out Bhaskara, kanaad, Bharatrihari, Kapila and yes Adu Shankara and his debates . So much to learn here but there us no systematic writings to srptudy in all this and a place to find all this,. There is no equivalent of Stanford Encyclopedia , hoping it happens soon.I cannot even find a consistent report on Indian history with Indic lens all in a place I have been able to get started with induc philosophy and diversified after reading “ Ethical philosophies of India” by Ishwara Chandra Sharma, and articles by PT Raju on philosophy and CK Raju on mathematics. I think we should include all thes in the reading list along with more complicated works on logic by Mati Lal and some others . Hopefully my long rant is worthwhile

Read these three books very very important: Conundrum: Subhas Chandra Bose's life after death, Being Different, Savarkar: Echoes of a forgotten past. Also very important are the ancient classics with proper translations. I would sugggest Sanskrit to hindi translations by acharyas (Geeta press, Chaukhamba) of Mahabharata, Ramayana, Bhagwad Gita, Arthashastra, Katha Sarit Sagar. Indians invented the art of brilliant storytelling which somehow they have forgotten.

Pandit Ambedkar (yes, you can call him that) was a true nationalist, and a very practical man. He was against article 370, and also he foresaw the fate of non muslim minorities in muslim majority Pakistan, so he advocated population exchange which for some strange reason Gandhi and Nehru only knew, never took place.

In my view read all those books that give different perspective and analyze and use your understanding and intellect to sieve them and what the books really say and what it wants to hide. That is read between the lines. Read also Gandhi, Nehru and Savarkar and other freedom fighters writings.
