Idk if it’s a puma fault or a retailer fault. I think it won’t sell as well at most retailers honestly. They look huge and due to the width I don’t think a lot of regular people would just buy them to walk in
Not too firm or soft that's the characteristics of gas infused foam is all about and much needed specially for heavy runner And PUMA nitro series master this technology 🤙
Got this shoe and love the foam and fit and look (got white colorway) . I tried faster tempo and it strains my hip flexors . I think it is just too heavy and I am sinking in a bit 😮too much for any speedier efforts . Seems meant for easier recovery so far but I only have 3 runs in it.
@fuelup7504 Because i am heavier, SB2 compresses quite a bit and gives a lot of return back. The Magmax feels to soft. And honestly, my knee pain disappeared with the SB2... because of that, I ordered 3 pairs on total.

I dunno man. Maybe there’s something weird to me about max stack shoes that require pace to come alive. It’s one of the reasons why I didn’t like the SB2. If a shoe is max stack, I’d expect it to feel better at slower paces.
puma magmax is also a clearly better running shoe for me than asics superblast 2. i'm a heavy runner. 112kg I thought the puma magmax is a really versatile running shoe for me. it can really do a lot. love your videos, best regards from a subscriber from Denmark👌😃
What about for a lighter runner ? Would you get the same bounce? I run for endurance not fast but need stability and comfort, like a bounce with a roll and no plate. Pondering glycerin max
great question - this has more versatility for me but the glycerin max is the comfort king. it's like vomero vs 1080 - both awesome shoes for different use cases. if i could only pick one i would choose based on whether you'd rather have comfort for everyday miles (glycerin max) or ability to pick up the pace on longer runs (magmax)
Magmax or mach x2 for you? Looking for a new long run shoe to replace my nimbus 25. That shoe is too soft for long runs. Feel like slogging and weighs my feet down.
Great question - you can think of magmax like a bouncier nimbus. Mach x 2 is much more aggressive - lighter weight but not as comfortable. I'd go magmax for relaxed long runs with occasional pace pickups and Mach x2 if you want a true workout shoe/long run with race pace shoe
the current running shoe market is pretty unpleasent for an old fashioned runner, not much to look forward or being excited......... unfortunately your preference for very high stacked shoes doesn`t help me either...... maybe post Chicago you take it on your shoulders to run in some shoes outside of your comfort zone on the bright side, spending less money on new shoes is nice for a change, and 2024 will be the first year in a decade, where i retired more shoes than i bought ..........when you celebrate the retiring of a shoe more than the purchase of a new pair, you know you are old.......a small stripe of hope on the horizon for 2025 is a discounted adidas pro 3 and a pair of adidas evo SL ......doesn`t look like a paypal entrance gate is coming

@@supwell thank you very much for asking. Actually my remarks were not intended to get some reviews of lower stacked shoes on your channel, but to adress the benefits of lower stacked shoes for your feet. Same. 5'9 , 160lbs. Not a super big fella or anything but I enjoy my MadMaxes WAY more than by SB2. They've become my go to daily, versatile shoe.
I’ve been trying to convince everyone this shoe is a gem. I’m shocked every time they are totally happy picking up the pace during a run.
I wish Puma would make them more accessible to try in person

I need an easy run shoe for long runs? No plate in this shoe? Is this better than the Saucony hurricane 24?
I prefer this to the hurricane. More bounce at a similar weight and is great for time on feet. I did a 23 mile long run in this and it was perfect
