If the center line is different than where the dart is, where would the crease go if you iron the finished garment? Would it be lined up with the dart?

Just watch your video. I don't understand the waist measure you mention quarter? Pls help see me through by giving instances. Assuming my waist measurement is 38, what will be the measurement for the quarter? Still learning help
Quarter of the waist that is 38/4 =9.5. Quarter means 1/4 of the figure.

Thank you for a good tutorial. I was unsure about the back pants drafting and hope you may help me with it. when you were measuring above the waist of the center front pants piece to create the center back seam, how far above the waist did you extend that seam? Was it based on how far you extended the crotch for the back pants? And also what measurement did you use to decide how far from the center front seam (to measure toward the outseam) to create the center back waist? Didn't quite understand what you did there and thank you for any help you can give me.
Please watch the back pattern again carefully. I explained it in details. The video is a slow one. Just watch and pay attention to what I did, you will get where all the measurements come from. Thanks
Hello thanks for the tutorial. How can I correct a shrink at the inseam. Seems like the pant is scrunched at the inseam making it shorter
Do I add ease to my knee and ankle lines? Or would I only input my original measurements with no ease added? If I do add ease how much would I add on those lines? 1 inch?
Addition of ease depends on what you are comfortable with. The illustration is for a straight fitted trouser. If you want to add ease to yours, 1 inch should do except you are going for a different style of pant . Once your measurement Is accurate on those areas I don't see need for ease, but again it depends on the person wearing and style.

Measure from your waist to your knee with a tape. There you will have your knee line

You mean my own measurement? My waist to knee is 23 and I went up by 2inches that would be 21. So what I have in the video is 21inch

But I noticed if I cut it like that..is always tight..
For example, if the crotch line is 11", because of the band I will measure 9". While the band will replace the other 2".
And is high waist, is not coming out well.. is there anything am missing.

@ESTHER OKUYELU this pattern is not high waist. If you want high waist, once you measure your crotch 11 inch, the band will be cut separately. Eg crotch 11 + 1.5 band = 12.5.
For a moderate measurement so your crotch and band won’t appear too long, use 10 inch for the crotch and 1.5 or 2 inch for band, in total 12inch. I hope this explains your concern.

Wow this is good thanks ma, Am just seeing this video now.i have two questions (1)pls ma where should the Thight measurements be? (2) how many inches did u take IN from d upper crotch front .Beacaus d back crotch line before and after the front crotch line is not on the same line.
Do you mean tigh? Your tigh is 3inches below your crotch line. Back crotch is 2inch extension in a slanted form just as shown in the video.

Hip÷ 4 plus 1inch ease
Crotch length. This is hip ÷4
Waist to knee
Knee circumference
Waist to ankle
Ankle xircumference

Hip÷4 eg if your hip is 40÷ 4= 10 so your crotch will be 10. Or you could sit on a flat surface chair and measure from your waist to where your butt touches the chair, that would also be your crotch. Anu of the above method works fine.
