On full mechanical u-joints it's a must! In Canada the salt in the winter will seize it solid. He keeps the impact going like a moron, I run it up tight and smack the ear. That way you don't wreck the yoke or ear on the drive shaft. I have to say though, the tiger tool kingpin press tool is a bag of shit. I paid $1600 for mine at Gregg Distributors. Works fine if the kingpin is sicky but if it's seized into the axle it doesn't work at all which makes it absolutely useless. For $1600, it should work on everything!
I drive a wrecker. We have to pull and hang the driveshafts, and we dont actually pull the u joint. We just seperate it from the yoke. Do do i just need to pull the two? Or do i still need to pull all four caps?
You shouldn't be using an impact on a puller, it's very dangerous. If the joint is stuck, you accumulate energy in it qnd when it unstucks, the puller or joint could break and cause serious injury

Geoff Clark nobody else that I know has such problems with their u joint and kingpin removal. In the United States we own grease guns
Hey cockwad we have grease guns up here too. We also have licensed mechanics. something you guys should look into
I dont know about the tool itself but your video is sure better than "OEM's" poor attempt.
Отличная приспособа!

Tiger Tool part # 10105 or 10104
I hate the style of driveshaft. I just don’t know why they had to design it.

+Gabriel Thériault as long as you are not a dumbass and use the correct lube on the screw its not an issue
When it unstucks....when it breaks free. Real fine work ya pus
Pretty sure the maker of the tool knows how best to use it... But hey if you want to use a ratchet by all means go ahead Popeye.
