We most certainly did not, maybe, okay possibly definitely did steal the double sided threaded adapter idea to work with a slide hammer from SMA... after exchanging a few emails with Eric. Like I said, have no idea what you're talkin' 'bout

Could possibly make a wheel bearing puller with the same principles...

You guys should consider making "pro model" tools incorporating input from famous youtube mechanics. Have their signature on the tool, and give them a small royalty, or some kind of cut. Similar to what Nike does with their NBA shoe sponsorships. They sold a lot of Air Jordans! Imagine the marketing reach and instant loyalty this would create for your company. Win win win for everyone!

Spent 3 days replacing all the suspension on my sons 03 passat before he went out west to work in Wyoming. Miserable, 4 ball joints per front wheel, and the tierod all required heat and beat, cutoff wheels and drilling. Gotta love these Michigan cars.

It's a tough business with all the undercutting unqualified hillbilly Mechanics out there, and employees that take the pay but don't get the work done.
Trust me, you don't want to be the owner unless you are your main mechanic, and someone you really trust is doing the books.

Josh reminds me of a friend of mine from the 1980's. We didn't have a lift. Nothing makes your ass draw up like pulling 460s,429s, with a come-a-long and a pecan tree limb. Nothing spelled relief like it's bolted down. We was to young to think about dying.

Just dealt with a stubborn subaru balljoint, Had broken 19mm socket. Found nut that threaded on ball joint and a nut that threaded onto slide hammer. Welded a nut on each end. BOOM had my own adapter for a slide hammer. Happy moment. Going to look into getting this tool now lol

Thank you for the video, this worked great on the driver side but not so much on the passenger side... Threaded the tool onto the ball joint and foolishly tried to use my impact to make a quick job of it, now its the next day and the ball joint is still in the car! The threads ripped out of the cylinder on the tool and the ball joint. That's what happens when you try to go to fast kids! Live and learn I guess. :) But thank you for introducing me to this option, didn't know that tool was available outside of the Matco/SnapOn trucks.

I purchased a master ball joint service tool and adapter set at Princess auto (not a sponsor) here in Canada for $100 on sale. The tools are not top quality but will work for the average guy and they probably have that ball joint puller also. They have a lot of specialty tools that the home mechanic could afford and get some time out of. Harbour Freight (also not a sponsor) may carry the same stuff. No good for the pro shop but I don't think the pros are watching these videos and some of these tools have gotten me out of real sticky situations.

Excellent demo, Eric. Trying to think of a way to make this tool is cool, but the price of steel around here is so high I can't make one of these for much less. I've seen guys use threaded rod, a short segment of pipe, and a small weld. Even that way, when you look at the hardware bill it is almost the same. I hate single application tools.
