    Can't imagine how that soldier by a couple seconds missed the death that could of been hi
    m!! What a shock & trauma that must've been. Wow.

      The soldier was my dad, a Seabee. Out of all his war years, that's the only story I ever heard him share. I don't think the memory ever left him, never failed to move him deeply. Thanks for the comment, Molly. God bless!

      @@EstherLuttrellsSundayStories my mammy was an amazing storyteller ❣️ So, now I'm the only one in the family that knows all of our history 😜 my cousin asked my Nana's maiden name - I think he was shocked when I provided that, as well as date of birth, illegitimate child ( quite scandalous!) and entire life story 😜 I think he is still a bit overwhelmed that we are from the Highlands, from Skye specifically - he thought we were Irish ❣️
