- A game about playing villains in Warhammer 40k, which ends up having my very favorite "villain campaign rules of any RPG. Play it on its own, or adapt it to other systems.
Definitely don't buy this Black Crusade book: www.amazon.com...

"A game about playing villains in Warhammer 40k"
So, playing anyone
im looking for a game
So many people have problems playing evil campaigns. Turns out it's really easy to be evil murder hobos, there's no fun in that. It would be super interesting to play a group of evil players who are motivated by the belief that they are "in the right" and trying to make the world better, even if they have to force the world to accept it. Like... playing Thanos' Black Order trying to fulfill their master's vision for the universe. Sure, you're evil, but it's for a good cause. "Good" being the word left up for interpretation.
That's *kinda* what Nurgle does, actually. I think making a Nurgle focused game would fit your idea wonderfully in the Warhammer universe.
One thing I really love about BC is that its mechanics really capture the feeling of trying to work with Chaos. Especially the gifts are great as they are capable of completely throwing off your plans for the character as well as still being desireable over all. Being able to influence them more the more prestigious you are is just perfect.
Coming from Pathfinder I find it really liberating to see this uncertainty in every build, with PF you can essentially decide every feat and skill point up to level 20 at creation, simply because the system does not tend to screw up your plans.
It's so hard to find a Good Black Crusade Campaign on RUclips to watch. Most of them have the players joking around and wasting your time for 70% of the video vs focusing on the story/game. Personally I want to play in a campaign as a Chaos cultist with a group of cultist . I might one day run this with one of my Rpg groups . To me taking the Campaign setting of Black Crusade while using most of the rules of Wrath and Glory and eventually the table top game with the Narrative Rules. Remove the back stabbing part and your group can be successful. Great video
Any fools who play or run B.C as unrestrained murder hobos have no sophistication of thought & have not IMO, understood the wider themes of 40K & the Imperium. The brutal regime of the Imperium easily drives people to chaos. "If i,m going to die early probably at the hands of some overlord or priest why not join the archenemy & at least, for a while, have some freedom. Fantasy Flight did a superb job in the descriptions of the viewpoints, counter to the propoganda of the Imperium. It;s totes on my 'to run' list
Nice little overview, thanks!
I’m late but anyone looking at this video cubicle 7 have the rights for fantasy flight 40k rpgs are still for sale on pdf format
Thank you!
Can't wait until Wrath&Glory has enough content to stand up to some of these more fleshed-out systems.
Still waiting lol
Wrath and glory sucks compared to all the others, it’s the 40k 8th edition of 40k RPG’s. Which should tell u everything!
Wrong, W&G is good and runs smooth with snappy battles and clear rules. FFG games are too crunchy and that crunch doesn't provide the value for the crunch.
@@duxae1617 then why do people despise W&G and revere the FFG versions? W and Glory are for people who unironically prefer the modern edition of D&D
