- Following the release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, director Adam Wingard has already shared his plans for the upcoming untitled threequel: Godzilla x Kong 3. They want to show us more about Godzilla in the story. So far, Warner Bros. and Legendary have not confirmed anything, but the official trailer should be released next year.

Next film will focus godzilla, the director said that. Godzilla should fight space Godzilla or biollante in that movie. The final monsterverse movie it could be like this, Godzilla protecting earth while dest is eating stars and planets and comes to earth and dest( destoroyah for short) kills every titan leading Godzilla, mothra, Rodan and Kong and shimo to team. Dest will have his own army with little and medium dest forms like the hesei era which all will fight Godzillas teams and kongs whole Kong army from gxk new empire would help too

I think it's pretty obvious that the plan is for Space Godzilla to be the main antagonist in the next Godzilla movie. Everything is in place, the crystals, the flying Godzilla on the wall and the "eating a star" statement. Space Godzilla makes sense as he is a powerful enemy (more powerful than Godzilla), yet he was in the worst movie from the Hesei series so they are not wasting a great villain on a 'Destroy All Monsters' end game scenario. Depending on how far they want to go with Godzilla movies in the near future., the could toss Biollante into the next movie as well.
I would look for an announcement of a MCU like expansion. I am expecting a Mothra movie, Son of Kong and Godzilla movie to be announced in the next year.
Maybe the next film will have the Zo-Zla Halawa, the Godzilla who ate a star that went mad that caused the Kongs and Godzilla's to unite and seal him away.
If he returns to Earth and they dub him spacegodzilla, this series will officially be cemented as my favorite Goji franchise.
They're doing everything right. I could see at least 3 more film releases, the absolute pinaccle of expectations would be another decade, which would put it over Showa as the longest running Goji film franchise.
Toho is literally alive because of this franchise, they were prepared to shelve the Godzilla IP indefinitely after Final Wars. These films were the reason Toho was able produce the masterpiece that is Godzilla Minus One.

I was thinking about how this movie should have started... Like showing Earth 100,000 years ago. Right away we see Godzilla, Shimo and Mothra battling Ghidorah and Shimo does freeze him, it's a short fight. Then later the trio separate as they have done their duty but it's clear that Shimo is Godzilla's friend. As Shimo goes to his lair, the crazy apes attack her and Skar King shows up, managing to take part of a crystal from her and use it to command her. Then we see Godzilla and Mothra come by his lair and even call out to her and since she doesn't respond, they follow a trail of ice to where the apes are and then Godzilla and Mothra are ambushed by the ape army and a reluctant Shimo forceyd to attack his allies. Then Godzilla and Mothra trap them in the pit because they can't fight an army. Flash forward to today and the movie begins.

Godzilla’s third solo movie should have either Space Godzilla as the villain, or perhaps a Mecha Ghidorah.
Kong’s next movie should be a solo movie set in hollow earth, I have no idea who the villain might be.
The next GXK could be the finale to the Monsterverse with Destroyah, but if legendary pictures wants the universe to continue they can postpone destroyah and instead have another original Titan take the spotlight as the antagonist.
I personally want the second option.

Out of all of the monster movies made this one is my favorite so far people want action in these types of films we want to see them fight and grow simple as that this one was about Kong becoming King of the Hallow earth Godzilla added the much needed punch when it came to the big fight and we now know Scar was only tough because of his control of Shimo

they should give goji focus on the next one. because, there nothing else for kong, his arc is already complete, for the next one he might as well be the supporting character. godzilla on the other hand, we havent really had a focus on his arc yet.
I still think the KOTM Godzilla is more powerful than GxK. Especially in the climax fight the radiation melts everything around while godizlla is simply walking

It would be epic meca kong and another Godzilla. Legendary Godzilla can't be the last species specially after in this moive there are more Kongs. One good theme would be meca kong causing havoc and the world thinking it is Kong. Gigan and Megalon would be the villans. King Kong and the 2 Godzillas battle Meca Kong Gigan and Megalon. Rodan in cameo at the end helping out Godzilla.
