You were my teacher,over 30 years ago. I’m so happy to find you again. Now that I am retired I find myself struggling with depression but art helps me to see the beauty in this world. And, more on a personal note, I have a artistic gift. Even though it may be limited I feel an obligation to use this gift to enrich others lives. Ok, I feel like I'm just rambling, but I thank you for sharing not only your artistic gift but part of your personal story. Also my husband, my soulmate!!!!You are so gifted and inspirational.My youngest son paints portraits. His American friend lost her son. As a special surprise he painted them both from a photo.His friend was comforted by this gesture.Your paintings are beautifully expressed.Do you know some time ago in our local library , your book was the most popular one and lots of people read them.Those glasses are superb.Your tuition is excellent. I've been struggling with the closing of my candle business 1998-2016 and been trying hard to let go and move forward. Today I am in my barn (she shed) once again trying to purge the biz remnants to remove any clutter from my creativity. It is overwhelming, but I am so close to having a space I can enjoy creating and painting in for therapy. Creating has always been a piece of my soul. I am pushing myself recently to do something creative everyday I can to grow as an artist and it is so therapeutic as you said. I feel I had an ah-ha moment this week. I do believe we need to rest...take time for ourselves (I took a sabbatical 4yrs) but saw somewhere a creative block is not from a block of being creative...it is from not moving. So I've plucked myself out of my recliner and cell phone and started moving this week to get my hands moving again creatively.
